  1. 1. During a round of Ninja, you are faxed by Station Command inquiring about an “inspector” who claims to have been sent by the company to evaluate each of the station's departments. How do you respond, and why?

  3. Am I allowed to get slightly creative in my answers?

  7. Cool:

  9. I'd first take a glance at the round duration, this would affect how I'd respond due to not wanting to shut down whatever gimmick is planned quite early. I'd read the details of the fax, and then I'd remind the Command Staff that surprise inspections are not outside the realm of possibilities and it is very possible that the NSS Aurora was scheduled for one. I'd iterate that they'll have to treat the unplanned inspector as they would a planned inspector, but ensure an eye is kept on the Inspector. I would then then tell them that due to issues regarding the Odin servers confirmation will take a bit longer than expected and a confirmation regarding the inspector will be sent in roughly 30 - 40 minutes. This would allow time for the Ninja to rp with the crew, or begin to show that they are not an inspector, and then after this duration has passed I'd fax the Command Staff that no surprise inspection was logged today, allowing the crew to respond to the Ninja and allow for escalation to occur.

  11. alright
  12. 2. During a round of Crossfire, you are faxed by Station Command about a team of mercenaries who have reported a band of pirates operating in the area. They wish to offer their services to the station as additional security. Command is asking you for your advice on the situation. How do you respond, and why?

  14. I'd read the fax details once again before responding to the Command Staff. I would then stipulate in the fax confirmation that there is a pirate presence within the Romanovich Clouds and it is possible that they drift close to the NSS Aurora and that if they do indeed require assistance that the ERT is capable of deployment if the Internal Security Department is not capable of dealing with the pirates, however they are granted permission to hire the mercenaries as long as the cost to hire them is covered through the shift through exports of the bounties systems and/or selling minerals. This would allow the Command Staff the ability to make a decision, but also involves them speaking to various departments in order to export the bounties (it is up to them which option to choose), and also allow the Mercenaries to proceed with their gimmick as 'Hired Security'.

  16. 3. In your opinion, how much of a role should Central Command play in the affairs of the station? When is it appropriate for them to directly intervene, and how much should they attempt to shape the round when they do?
  17. CaelphonToday at 13:39
  18. The CCIA should play a rather laissez faire role in the affairs of the Station, only getting directly involved when they are required to (Incident Reports or Faxes). The CCIA should only shape the round if they can give the option to those aboard the Station (or playing) by responding with ambiguous faxes, thus leaving the round in the hands of the Command Staff aboard the Station (or to whichever Staff is faxing).

  20. 4. What do you believe is the purpose of the Incident Report system?
  21. CaelphonToday at 13:48
  22. The Incident Report system's purpose is to facilitate IC development (through warnings and/or punishments). The IR System is also meant to be a way of ensuring regulation and IC rule violations are dealt with ICly, in order to show that IC decisions can affect an individual IC, and that just because a shift ends does not mean that everything is forgotten, this expands the IC world to show that the Station is not just the only place.

  24. 5. In resolving an Incident Report, when should a character receive significant disciplinary action (such as a demotion), as opposed to a lighter response such as a warning or retraining? Under what circumstances would you consider terminating a character's employment?
  25. CaelphonToday at 13:56
  26. I would demote a character after they have received numerous warnings and/or restraints regarding their character (put on suspension for a few days for example) allowing them to be retrained and re-educated on their field and/or etiquette aboard the NSS Aurora. I would only terminate a character's employment if they have been demoted more than once (twice would be the cut-off) and if they've accrued multiple warnings and/or restraints on their character. I would also likely terminate a character's employment if a grievous crime was committed (Majority of the i300s, minus automacide due to the lore view on IPC as 'repairable' characters and how they're able to be replaced etc).
