Two Gems and a Chance Encounter

"Do you think this will last, Pyrite?" Kyanite asked, looking at the ocean ahead, her blue hand resting itself upon Pyrite's pale yellow. Pyrite tensed then relaxed, it had been a year since the attack. Kyanite wore a blue robed dress, her hair in a braided bun, her gem found on her back. She was slender in build, not one fit for combat.

"I... Don't know, Ky..." She said, looking up at the sky. "Whatever comes out way, I'll see to it that I'll keep you safe. Kyanite closed her eyes, softly shaking her head. Pyrite looked to her, she wore a white chest plate, bracers and leg guards over a yellow longsleeved shirt and pale yellow leggings.

"No, we're in this together now... It won't be like a year ago... With me watching..." She said, pain reflected through her blue eyes. The pain of those memories melted away with a look of determined resolve. "I've been been training since you poofed that day... I'm stronger now, Pyrite. I won't slow you dow-" She was cut off by a kiss, her worries melted away by this confirmation.

A pod broke the atmosphere, heading for the beach. A green gem within, sleeping as it approached her destination. The two looked to the descending pod, noting it to be of Yellow's Court. The two were wary as the pod made landfall, the pod hit the ground shaking it as sand and dust kicked up around the impact site. The two watched as they began to head down the cliff to inspect the yellowish green pod. The gem within stretched, yawning as she rubbed her eyes before scratching her bed ridden hair and looking at her destination.

"Oh, sweet. I made it." She said as she gave another stretch, before the pod opened. Kyanite and Pyrite stopped not too far from the pod as it hissed and popped open, the gem rolled out and onto her feet as she brushed herself off. "Thanks for making me find you two super easy." She said. She had wild green hair with black streaks, her attire was reminiscent of an assassin's outfit, shades of greens and blacks as she had her gem on the back of the nape of her neck.

"You intend to bring us back by force?" Pyrite said as she got in front of Kyanite, the two spawning their weapons in preparation. The green gem with black speckles smirked.

"Nah, they'd send more fitting gems for that. I'm here to bring your gems back for... Well, you know what they do to traitors." She said as she summoned her dagger, flipping it around before she suddenly had two daggers. "No hard feelings, I'm just doing as ordered." She said pulling up her mouth covering as she kicked at the ground before kicking up a flurry of dust clouds. Pyrite looked around in the growing dust cloud as the gem moved around them kicking up sand and dust before they cut at Pyrite as they passed, evading a sword swing as they came back around for another hit before turning and cutting at her leg making her kneel as she jumped and rolled over Pyrite's back before kicking Kyanite to the ground as she rolled catching Pyrites shield as she was swatted.

"Kyanite!" Pyrite called out as the moisture from the sand formed water around Pyrite as they heled her cuts. This gem wasn't any ordinary gem.

"I dont think we can win against her, Pyrite." Kyanite said as the green gem assassin kipped to her feet, twirling her daggers.

"Not bad catching me like that." She said rolling her shoulders. "You're pretty cool!" She said twirling her daggers. "Name's Chrysoprase! I figure I should give you my name before I haul your gems back to homeworld~" She said with a grin.

"Like I said, you'll be coming home empty hand-" SHe brough up her shield as she blocked the dagger strike and parried the next with her blade as Chrysoprase stepped back grinning throwing around her daggers. Two... Three... Six... Twelve? She was juggling them as they seemed to multiply before she began throwing them as she moved around them, Pyrite blocking the ones she could and batting away others that her sword could get before a set of green eyes peered from below, her blind spot. A quick slice and her shield arm dropped before stepping between the two, the gem blocked Kyanite's staff and rolled back over Pyrite before she sliced away several ice shards ducking Pyrite's blade and rolling to evade an fist of water, front flipping over Pyrite's shield before landing as she threw her two daggers art Kyanite creating two more as she rushed in and slid sweeping the blue gem and stabbing down before she raised her two daggers to block Pyrites blade.

"Well, you two are pretty in synch." Chrysoprase said, rolling back and kicking away Pyrite as she got to her feet.

"We aren't going back." Pyrite said, Kyanite aiming her staff.

Chrysoprase twirled her daggers. "Riddle me this, two gems of different courts meet and defect, why is that?" She asked standing there.

"I was framed for something I didn't do... I was to be sentenced to death." Pyrite said."Kyanite tried to do something which was seen as defiance. We fled." She said.

"Huh." Chrysoprase said. "Well that's super uncool. Alright then." She said as the daggers vanished. "I'll join ya, could be fun!" She said with a grin.
