To elaborate, I tried putting in a random name where it says "To:" and the name showed up green. I wrote a text message and it sent (it didn't say "failed to send" or anything like that), so I was just wondering if the message automatically gets sent to my carrier or if it just sends without sending to anybody at all? I also tried calling the random name (after sending the message, I pressed the name at the top and hit the phone icon) and was automatically directed to a phone call with my carrier. So if calling the random name (in which I did not enter any phone number) automatically directed me to a phone call with the carrier, would the text message I sent automatically be sent to the carrier? I am on an iPhone by the way.
