  1. This is the second time he marches here. The first time he remembers of all the things that happened throughout the march, of all the pain and anguish that came his way.. but he would not let it weigh him down today, he would not let it distract him- if anything, his gaze is pointed forward stern, awaiting for the speeches of Radiant.
  2.
  3. But..
  4.
  5. To surrender all of the Occultists? As far as he's concerned, that's not happening - it would result in many, many people captured right off the bat. If anything, he believes that none of it would even be possible to negotiate, but.. as much as he could appreciate the attempt, already he prepares himself for combat.
  6.
  7. It would seem they prepared themselves too..
  8. For the fog persists too openly.
  9.
  10. He does not fret, nor he shows any fear. Instead, he knows that he would have to remember what he fights for.. what exactly he came here for. Two badges are pulled from his inner pocket, before he gives them a single glance.
  11.
  12. Upon initials..
  13. The first one says J. M.
  14. Another says A.
  15.
  16. A clutch, closer to his heart. The emotionless, blank face of the Knight persisted in scanning around the area, even if briefly- for a brief moment, he closes his eyes. Where many seem to declare dialogue, or try to speak on the different terms, or judge another side..
  17.
  18. Nerin doesn't care for any of it.
  19. He came for clear purpose.
  20.
  21. "For Jasper."
  22. "For Actaeon."
  23.
  24. He knows how to revel in the Resonance of place. He knows how to bask in the presence of the violent atmosphere, one which could promise naught but baptism in the blood in the hours to follow. Here, he knows one thing for certain..
  25.
  26. They could set this night in flames.
  27. This could be the second sun.
  28. (Nerin)
  29.
  30. With the deliberations set for conflict, the fog the First Light had traveled through to reach the gates of Moonfall thickened even more. Like a great storm set upon the ground, billowing clouds of smog made it difficult to see and navigate, and screams, either real or fake, cried out in the distance.
  31.
  32. As if a nightmare had descended upon the two sides of this war, terrors and hallucinations that played off of personal fears and tragedies danced within the now foggy landscape. Non-magi soldiers on both sides found it difficult to bear, and a true battle within this space was nearly impossible.
  33.
  34. Though it would not stop the push for victory, the need to cleanse this place of its evils. Through Moonfall's Nightmare they would fight regardless, but at what price?

  37.
  38. (Both sides will be allowed 1 cap for this conflict. Should multiple caps occur, it will be up to the leaders of the capturing faction to decide which they keep.)

  58. [NARRATE]
  59.
  60. The fog clashed through the darkness, it was time for something far more than a mere battle- it was a war.
  61.
  62. Yet her target came through the darkness. From the fog Nerin could hear it, chuckles, laughter- mocking and rich. Filled with illusionary magic.
  63.
  64. "You know. It's my fault Actaeon is dead."
  65.
  66. The voice billowed, wispy across his ears as she kept to the shadows- much like how the duo fought so many times within the dojo, she kept to the outskirts of the battlefield. Her voice an echoing wisp.
  67.
  68. Visions, hallucinations.
  69.
  70. "He needs to die, Yuri. Gotta git 'em. Shame ain't it?"
  71.
  72. The orchestrator. Or at least, tis the part that Melora was claiming. Perhaps to insight more anger and rage from Nerin. "If I had it my way.. Wouldn't 'ave a grave. Nothin' left of him. Bloody mistake that was. Wasn't it? Then ya went and burned my girl. Tck…"
  73.
  74. A blast of gravity cascaded across the dirt- quite sudden as rocks jumped and scattered across his feet and armored boots.
  75.
  76. For once she slid from the smog. Eyes a glowing sapphire. Trying to maintain contact- to drag him further into a land of madness and hallucinations.
  77.
  78. "Out here, this is my realm. Nerin. Here in my Kingdom, I am your lord, I order you to cower and pray."
  79.
  80. She was drunk, completely wasted. A vial drawn from her hip before she cracked it right above her eyes. The sanguine liquid dripping and dropping into the sockets. Letting it flow through her veins as laughter rippled from her throat.
  81.
  82. "Don't worry... You'll be meetin' him soon enough. Tell him Remei says hi, when I'm done. She's loving her new place. Absolutely reveling in the slog of the Syndicate."
  83.
  84. A truth, or a lie?
  85.
  86. It didn'tmatter. Coherency was bleeding away as rage begun to take over. Mixing with that perpetual guilt. The world rattled as the metaphysical magus bought fourth winds to buckle and twist around her body.
  87.
  88. There would be naught but pain here.
  89.
  90. (Melora)
  91.
  92. 'Attack.'
  93.
  94. A single word that he needed to hear, before the silent Knight charges in; already the countless azure flames spring out from him, assaulting not only the myriad obstacles that would come in his way, but also seeking out the peculiar targets for himself. Of all the people in the crowd, he was seeking specific people to battle against, the specific people he intended to find..
  95.
  96. Either Cameo.
  97. Or Yuri.
  98.
  99. Yet, no matter how much he fights, no matter how much he pushes through the crowds- especially under the artillery fire of the Aegis- he cannot find them amidst the battlefield. What he does end up finding, and the way how his sights settle on that peculiar someone..
  100.
  101. It's her.
  102. Melora.
  103.
  104. Despite the mind games imposed by the fog and the illusionist herself.. there's unwavering, expressionless countenance upon him- if anything, he looks terribly unamused despite all the antics that she's showing. Where she seeks to incite the fear.. he seems to be already surrounded by the azure flames that consume him entirely, for where she speaks..
  105.
  106. He says nothing at all. At least, at first..
  107.
  108. "Words, words, words.."
  109.
  110. "Are you done?"
  111.
  112. For in this place, there was only stalwart determination to take down those that took his brother. No, where she seeks to incite rage.. he doesn't lose himself to it, but instead, he remembers why exactly he fights. He remembers why exactly he's come here - and as much as the Resonance of violence fuels him..
  113.
  114. "All you've done is marked yourself for hunt."
  115.
  116. "Prepare."
  117.
  118. The azure flames upon his palms were flickering. So much so that there's a threat they overspill. And where Melora continues the mockery..
  119.
  120. The Knight is quick to engage.
  121. (Nerin)
  122.
  123. Melora has been defeated by Nerin! They're unable to continue fighting.
  124.
  125. {RP BATTLE} You have WON round 3!
  126.
  127. Nerin has lost 12 vitality from this battle for three hours.
  128.
  129. {RP BATTLE} You have WON the battle!
  130.
  131. Melora has rolled 2 or over: they may escape capture attempts (unless otherwise specified)!
  132.
  133.
  134. There's little hesitation behind his movement. As far as he could tell, the Traitorous Noble intends to keep the Knight at bay, assaulting his body and mind with countless magics of all kinds; if anything, he could feel as if she's slipping from his grasp constantly, as if she could evade him like a slithery serpent that seems to outrun him time and time again.
  135.
  136. At some point, it almost feels overwhelming..
  137. And yet..
  138.
  139. Where he feels himself falling, he rises back up again. For all that he knows, the woman could continue the chase in which she would evade him endlessly, in which she could find herself slipping away. Here, he must remember what he's already been taught before - or else he would perish.
  140.
  141. This is like a game of cat and mouse..
  142. And he needs to be quicker, yet patient.
  143.
  144. He knows of the rage welling up within, but.. it's just like the way that significant people in his life have taught him, that he needs to be patient and steady in case he would want to persevere against someone who's clearly faster - after all, there's no point to attempt to beat Melora in a game where she's clearly superior.
  145.
  146. 'Breathe in. Inhale, exhale..
  147. Can you feel the ripple as she moves?'
  148.
  149.
  150. The counter-attack begins. It is the first time that Melora finds herself suddenly assaulted by patient Knight that remained in relatively same spot- much like a predator that is waiting in the hideout to pounce on his victim.. so does she experience the full-blown assault and might of his attacks. The Deceiver finds herself knocked aside time and time again, and where she seeks to back away..
  151.
  152. So does he, strangely enough.
  153.
  154. When he does so, his eyes close and re-open once more; he becomes terribly still in such occurrence, watching for the proverbial 'ripple' of the pure energies, of the Resonance that he had attuned himself to..
  155.
  156. Until he pounces again.
  157.
  158. This time? This time Melora cannot withstand the assault- while she seeks to flee, it becomes rather evident - she's done a mistake, and now Nerin is here to take advantage of it; a strike after strike, and the azure flames pierce through not only her circuitry, but also through her body as a whole.
  159.
  160. She's almost set ablaze..
  161. But luckily for her, the fire does not linger.
  162.
  163. Amidst the fog, he finds himself frowning, seeing the battered, Traitorous Noble gain distance. Here, he makes a single warning.
  164.
  165. "You have marked yourself, Melora."
  166.
  167. "You will not have peace from now on. Wherever you hide, I will always find you, sooner or later."
  168.
  169. "Now begone, pathetic creature."
  170.
  171. He doesn't consider her a human anymore. Perhaps, this sudden harshness comes about from the fact he remembers his brother's loss, or perhaps his cool façade is finally broken..
  172.
  173. Yet, she would be only wiser to leave.
  174. (Nerin)
  175.
  176. A madwoman seeking a death wish, her staff whipped around in a point of madness, her movements lucid- absurd. And impossible, as if her body wasn't even there half the time, she moved with the flow of time and the beckoning of the wind. Whitling bit by bit. Her rage left her impatient, left her aggressive, she could hardly even think through the haze of blood-red that stained her vision.
  177.
  178. Yet there was cohesion there as welll..
  179.
  180. She attacked with more than her normal arsenal. Suddenly bursts of magic kicking up sand, giving it the appearance of clouds of smoke to block out sight and blind the approaching magus. Every time she dashed, she'd repeat it. Trying to sully his vision and fighting capabilities.
  181.
  182. Slowly weaving her spider's web of metaphysical magic. Which wound tighter, and tighter around Nerin…
  183.
  184. At some point it almost felt as if she'd have this, her excitement growing, a blood vessel tensing across her forehead as she continued her assault.
  185.
  186. It wouldn't end.
  187. Struggle, worm.
  188.
  189. She was a child, a bully, one that kept trying to burn the limbs off of an ant with a magnifying glass.
  190.
  191. But such narcissism and near suicidal fighting style didn't help her- A sudden assault, he tore through the web with such patience. A feeling of fists colliding against her torso, a soft 'ooph' as azure flames flutter acorss her skin, singing and scorching with black suited marks.
  192.
  193. Was it time? Was it finally time...
  194.
  195. The body began to relax as the fires took her and-
  196.
  197. And they did not linger, and soon the body moved again. On automatica. A cork was popped when he started shouting towards her- when his warning met her ears- he'd hear a series of laughter bubbling through the smog.
  198.
  199. From every angle clouds of smoke billowed, and sapphire blue eyes stared at him- theillusionist wasn't one to be done.
  200.
  201. "There are worse things than death, Nerin…
  202. I'm sure you'll feel them again, when we meet once more..
  203. Dance with me, like my little bone puppet.
  204. This game we play... Is one I'll always win."
  205.
  206. Rich mocking laughter...
  207.
  208. How right he was, and it itched at her mind. The laughter still flowing but he couldn't see the tears. Nor would he.
  209.
  210. What a monster she'd become... And how her guilt loathed it.
  211. (Melora)
  212.
  213. At the very least..
  214. He held his line.
  215.
  216. For where the azure flames sought to consume her, yet they did not.. he knew that the fighting was over- as to the laughter that lingered on, all that the stalwart Warrior would do is merely frown. He knew that he would see her again, time and time again.. and that they would most definitely see her again in the future.
  217.
  218. Only to think that at some point he liked her..
  219. Now, he feels nothing but disgust.
  220.
  221. For in this matter, she had shown herself to become not only the fallen piece, but someone who succumbed to the dark- someone who had lost their mind. And so, where she invites him for the proverbial 'dance' for another time, in which one of them may lose their life..
  222.
  223. "You've lost the moment you succumbed to this madness."
  224.
  225. The only line he would say, but.. for now, he would need to ensure that others were fine, or at the very least, the forces of Moonfall were held back to an extent. Where she disappears in the fog - so does he.
  226.
  227. His job is far from being done.
  228. He'll hunt until it's over.
  229. (Nerin)
  230.
  231. Throughout the darkness and cloudy fog, the battles raged. Swords and spells lit up the night, and the disorganized legions scrambled from skirmish to skirmish. Torches were lit by the knights who had come, and together they found their companions again, albeit bloodied and hurt. The call for retreat echoed from all sides, and as they ran, the blue, ethereal eyes of the Moonfall were always staring back, watching and waiting for the next time they'd meet.

  249. [NARRATE]
  250.
  251. He's done all that he could and more. In truth, after facing off against Melora, Nerin was rather quick to actually continue combat- where he fought against as many non-magi as he could, trying his best to restrain all that would otherwise oppose Order. Though, as much as he seeks to charge in again..
  252.
  253. There's a sound to retreat.
  254. But how?
  255.
  256. "Fuck.."
  257.
  258. Even if he was otherwise surrounded by countless eyes that protrude from all around the forest, already does he find himself running back- as he retreats, any show of the shimmering blue eyes is responded to with a sudden blast of energy - one that is intended to either reduce the assailants that would chase after Nerin, or even knock them back. But..
  259.
  260. Once he arrives to the rest..
  261. His first is reaction is to cover the retreat.
  262.
  263. He was fortunate enough to not be too injured; even now, he could probably still engage in yet another fight, for he knows that this might not be over.
  264.
  265. "What are the orders?!"
  266.
  267. He shouts out to the command upon arrival. Though despite that much - he intends to hold the line with anyone else that is available.
  268.
  269. He's not so easily brought down.

  284.
  285. Cap 1 suggested. Dangerous.
  286. [NARRATE]
  287.
  288. Back into the fray he goes. Of all things, he imagines that there would be untold reckoning with their second march, that they would intend to take back not only the captives, but also try and push through the thick fog that constantly surrounded Moonfall. He knew that he could be charging into something terribly, terribly dangerous..
  289.
  290. Yet all the same..
  291. He followed through.
  292.
  293. Where the charge is met with the oppressive resistance of Moonfall, he's able to guide himself through the night- where the bloodshed fills the ground, he isn't deterred. But.. as he advances, there's a familiar face - one which disguise does not do anything to really do about. If anything..
  294.
  295. The moment he discovered Yuri is a traitor, then heard about attack.. he already knew who it is.
  296.
  297. Here and now, the azure flames surround Nerin once more- the azure flames that Riot should be all too familiar with. Even if there's Melora's blood on his body from the suffering that he had inflicted upon her.. he speaks in a calm tone.
  298.
  299. "It seems we meet again."
  300.
  301. "She protected you. She tried to enrage me. She tried - but it appears she failed." A pause. Even now, it seems that Nerin isn't here for much of a chatter, and instead..
  302.
  303. "We both know you're not going to lead me to Cameo. We both know this is futile to speak."
  304.
  305. "Come, then. Let's not waste time."
  306.
  307. The flickering, shimmering brilliance of blue surrounded him, preparing once more. This..
  308.
  309. This would be quite something.
  310. (Nerin)
  311.
  312. Someone else to hurt. Someone else to harm and break away from the guilt of having maimed what was essentially their brother. They had won though, there was nothing left to fight....
  313.
  314. Or at least that was how it originally seemed until the Knights of Osrona came back to fight once more.
  315.
  316. Before they knew it they were already back within the thickening fog, blood around their body flowing erratically as they searched for a target. Any target. Then they saw the oh so familiar blue flames.
  317.
  318. They couldn't of asked for a better one could they?
  319.
  320. Everything Nerin had said was true. No point in wasting time, no point in speaking.
  321.
  322. She wanted revenge for her face, and she'd get it.
  323. (Riot)
  324.
  325.
  326.
  327. This fight is brutal, just as it was expected. It would be a lie to say that Nerin isn't pushed to his limits.. because he is; even here and now, despite the previous injury that Yuri has sustained against him, it becomes rather difficult for him to actually handle her, for the suffocating mists were providing to be an obstacle which he'd have to think around of time and time again.
  328.
  329. So much so that at some point he feels he could collapse.
  330.
  331. But.. despite that, he pushes on, persevering regardless of the odds, regardless of the fact he's already wounded- where the raging exchange of blows comes about from each of them, and where the azure flames seek to engulf Yuri once more.. she manages to push away Nerin if only briefly due to the immense bloodletting that she causes.
  332.
  333. Mostly, in Nerin's body..
  334. And the more he wounds her - the more she fights with.
  335.
  336. In a sense, it becomes an uphill battle that is rather difficult to win, but.. when he finds a single opening, his focused mind took upon the chance to strike- a chance which could decide the battle, decide whether he would be returning home victorious or perish in the mists.
  337.
  338. A sudden lunge.
  339.
  340. As much as Yuri fought back, as much as she intended to ensure that Nerin doesn't near her, he suddenly grasps out at her left arm when it reaches out to him- here, he has the second grasp at the back base of her neck, and in the moment of weakness which she wasn't guarded well..
  341.
  342. Crack, crack.
  343. Snap!
  344.
  345. It's turned the other way, in the most malicious, unnatural method; if only it was over at this point.. he doesn't let go of Yuri, but instead tears her entire arm off with his bare hands. It takes a moment of struggle between the two, a moment in which he grits his teeth..
  346.
  347. A moment in which his gaze steadily darkens..
  348. And with azure flames pulsing through him, it's torn off.
  349.
  350. There's blood, a lot of it, but.. there's also a room of error in which Yuri is allowed to escape. While he holds onto her torn off arm, he speaks out the warning.
  351.
  352. "You should've cooperated from the very beginning."
  353.
  354. "Run along. This is far from over."
  355. (Nerin)
  356.
  357. She wasn't in condition for this. Mind unstable from her collision with Robin, and her body weakened and armor damaged from the same fight.
  358.
  359. He was a good target... But she simply wasn't his opponent. Those Azure flames fueled his strength far more than any amount of blood could fuel hers. The acidic mists formed of her own blood could only keep him at bay for so long before they'd evaporate; disintergrated by the magical heat that surrounded the Knight.
  360.
  361. And eventually... She wouldn't have another means to escape. Before she knew it....
  362.
  363. Pop. Snap. Crack. RRRRRRIP.
  364.
  365. The pain of her arm's breaking hadn't even been given the chance to hit her brain before it was overtaken; the pain of her arm's removal from the elbow and below suddenly blaring into her mind. Oddly enough, it was far less than the scorching of her face.
  366.
  367. Yet it was far worse an injury.
  368.
  369. Once again she'd find herself reeling back and roaring in pain as they'd hold their arm; blood pouring out of it profusely before their mind would clear up enough for them to begin controlling their blood; the flow coming to a halt before they'd glare through their helmet at Nerin.
  370.
  371. "S-soon.....All of this will be paid back in full and more."
  372.
  373. "Far more."
  374.
  375. No trophies would be allowed today, teeth clenching as that arm he held onto would explode violently to cover the man in her blood while she made an escape into the foggy mists.
  376. (Riot)
  377.
  378. This is blood, rage, fury. For where the Warrior returns in full, covered in blood of his own and the enemy, with the breath leaving his lungs rather rapidly.. here, he knows that at this point, actually trying to talk to certain people is rather futile. So instead..
  379.
  380. He makes his way to the battlefield.
  381. Caked in crimson.
  382.
  383. With azure flames covering him, and the strength in him yet booming despite the fact that he fought so much.. there's a loud announcement that he makes amidst the battlefield- one to be heard, for a certain person.
  384.
  385. "Melora! This is my parting gift!"
  386.
  387. "Here! Catch! Actaeon sends his regards!"
  388.
