  18. You can totally use Exact Match anchors, just don't over optimise. Google is smart, and can tell the gist of the content and rank it accordingly, the same goes for anchor text, so if the anchor is LSI or near match, it helps for google to see the general idea and niche of the site being linked to and boost ranking accordingly.
  19.
  20. Pretty naff explanation as im tired as hell but hope that at least gives you the general idea with anchors.
  21. You don't even have to put the keywords in your link. The link may be surrounded by the keywords and google will get that.
  22.
  23. At the end of the day try do diversify the most you can.
  24. Your website has content and white-hat, on-site SEO. This is where keywords come from first and foremost.
  25.
  26. Matt Diggity wrote a pretty good article on the subject. I think Ahrefs did too. Just read the SEO blogs. They talk about this stuff all day long.
  27. Google is not retarded. It knows very well what your site is about, based on the content you have there.
  28. I've stopped using exact match anchors completely some time ago and I sure as hell don't miss them. Easiest way to get overoptimized and stuck on 2nd page. Risk:reward ratio for using them is catastrophic. Barely any benefit and shittons of risk.

  36. Been searching for this answer for 8 years...TBE 4-5 years extremly after the G birds ( panda, penguins and humming birds ). Almost spent $70k and earned $10k out of seo and $60k in debit. Do you think you can go that far? caz I had to phase or every thing which does not work then the filtration process would reveal the gold out of the sand...panning and panning and then again panning. I knew it is a gold mine and I can even make $100k and much much more every month and scale any time and to my thinking as much as I like.

  40. Someone asked, have been to Pu**y land? the man said but i have been around it a lot....buddy you have been around SEO TBE.
  41. Google is not retarded. It knows very well what your site is about, based on the content you have there.

  44. I agree. Exact match anchors texts are not necessary. People often care too much about optimizing and getting over optimized that they forget about one thing that is relevancy. Exact match or not, relevancy to the referred page is important otherwise just leave it blank.
  45. You can easily go with the exact anchor text but don't repeat it and try to use the exact anchor text in a goog authority link only, not shitty web 2.0s or forums
  46.
  47. Google has the AI technology, and from onpage, Google bots gets to know for which keyword this webpage has to rank.
  48. According to me if you put anchor text and then put your link in it,then this method is beneficial because in such case your keyword as well as the link in that text both will be indexed.
  49. if have to 50 backlinks of your 1 link
  50. use 10 Exact match keywords as anchors
  51. use 40 LSI keywords of your main keyword as anchors
  52. Google is smart enough! They can easily get the idea via your on page done within your site.
  53. Mass links with exact match anchor text cause spam within a few days once you did the link building. Using partially matched keywords along with the exact match keywords are always good. It takes time to rank the main keyword. But the result will be strong as long as you want to rank in its top position. They never look like spam ever.
  54. Google can tell what your site is about by your on-page as well as your offpage anchors. Remember that.
  55.
  56. Google doesn't JUST look at exact match anchor text, it also looks at related keywords. So for example if you are trying to rank for SEO Company, but you only have the anchors SEO provider, SEO expert, SEO firm, best provider of SEO services, SEO specialist, company specialising in SEO etc. Then Google will know full well that your site is relevant to the search "SEO Company".
  57.
  58. It also depends on your keyword, how common it is, how likely it is to be used as an anchor and what percentage of exact match anchors are used across the rest of the results.
  59.
  60. Overall, the key is to use exact match very sparingly.
  61. As long as your using anchor texts related to the query you want to rank for, you're good. I don't suggest exact anchor match as others have said Google is really smart. If you really want to then I suggest only once
  62. Thanks for all the advise and im getting the picture now.
  63. Google is not retarded. It knows very well what your site is about, based on the content you have there.

  66. You can say exact match anchors aren’t necessary but in difficult dark hat niches they are absolutely necessary. You’re not going to rank in casino without exact match anchors. Sorry but it’s true.
  67. I can think of an exception in SEO to literally any rule. OP was not asking about super spam competitive niches. However, you are of course correct.

  75. Some confusion are faded away which i knew about link with anchor text.
  76. Use mixture of exact anchor and LSI KWs.
