  1. In the heart of the forest, two brothers found themselves surrounded by lush green. The rain was still lightly pouring when the two brothers rose up on their feet to continue their journey for the lost princess. The after rain scent, the smell of refreshed soil and the cold air cleansed their lungs. But their minds were stained with worry and concern. For if they failed to return with the princess, the king would not shower them with gold.
  2.
  3. The two brothers marched by the river bank when one of them spotted a golden frog. The sight caught them by a surprise, but their lighting reactions had them leaping towards the frog. They hopped on stones peeking from the water. It was a high challenge to maintain balance on the slippery surface during their eager chase. The golden frog kept hopping away when one brother slipped and strained his ankle. He was cut off from the chase so he barely dragged himself back to the river bank. Frustrated and angry with himself, all he could do was to follow with his eyes his brother hunting for the golden frog in circles.
  4.
  5. He felt a thud on his right shoulder, and when he turned he faced an ox. He pulled away at first, frightened that such a large animal could stomp over him in a second; he grabbed a big rock to defend himself. At first, they stared at each other, but he noticed very soon that the ox had a wounded leg. The ox collapsed; breathing heavily in pain; for it was all the ox was able to do. Its eyes began to blink more often as the pain was amplified each second.
  6.
  7. The wounded brother`s fear splashed once he saw that ox is harmless, but then he shifted his focus back to his brother`s chase; who was collapsing more often in his desire to trap the frog with his bare hands. The wounded ox began to tremble in agony. It caught the attention of the wounded brother who felt no rivalry with ox anymore. He , then, dragged himself to the hurt animal. Carefully he began to stroke and caress the ox. He even wished he could heal it, but all he could do was to nurture the ox to its eternal sleep. The wounded brother felt so sad about the animal that he even kissed its head as he was caressing it just so it feels something else besides the shattering pain.
  8.
  9. But then the ox began to glow. It was a white , blinding light. The wounded brother pulled back and away from ox on his elbows rapidly. What once was ox now turned out to be the most beautiful young woman he had ever laid his eyes on. They stared at each other, but this time the connection between the two was not of rivalry but of harmony and peace. The only sound that could be heard was the fading noise of splashing water far in the back, produced by his relentless brother in his furious pursuit of slippery golden frog.
  10.
  11. Time went by, and the wounded brother married the princess. They lived in harmony and luxury, and his brother claimed the hefty prize. But he still grinds his teeth whenever he thinks of the cursed, damn golden frog that made a fool of him.
