- For convenience most of the stuff here won't be written in Old Norse. Also because DM Isn't keen on going through an Old Norse dictionary anytime soon.
- Aesir-Vanir War: The Aesir and Vanir are two distinct factions of deities; recently, they made a treaty to end a war between the factions. Now, several Vanir live in Asgard along with the Aesir.
- Mimisbrunnr: The first 'Wise Fountain'; before they were prevalent, there was only one called 'Mimisbrunnr', a fountain of magical power owned by the God, Mimir. Odin sacrificed his left eye in order to gain wisdom from the well, and shortly thereafter, began to create several similar wells (albeit with much less powers) that harness the waters from Mimisbrunnr.
- Fountains of Wisdom: Refreshing fountains filled with the magical waters of Mimisbrunnr, created by Odin. These fountains are filled with special knowledge and magical power, and were bestowed upon the Varangians by Odin, shortly after he sacrificed his eye. Fountains of Wisdom contain untold knowledge, and are typically sought after by those aspiring to learn magic. Drinking from the fountains teaches them of the runes, arcane pieces used to create spells.
- Fountains of Life: Similarly to the Fountains of Wisdom, the Fountains of Life were made from magical waters found dwelling beneath the roots of Yggdrasil. Unlike Fountains of Wisdom, the Fountains of Life were created by Freyja to serve as resting places for weary soldiers, who would find their wounds sealing shortly after resting within its well.
- The Fountains of Life have become far less plentiful as time went on however, growing corrupted from each use.
- Your characters are incapable of death. Instead, they're reborn at a fountain of life. When a fountain of life is rendered unusable, you're instead taken to Hel.
