  2. Late 1920s - 1927 -traveled to Paris for drawing lessons @ Académie de la Grande Chaumière
  3. Later entered École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of the Musée du Louvre
  4. Then worked in studio of French artist Fernand Léger
  5. Then studied with Russian painter Alexandra Exter - Cubism and abstract forms
  6. 1934 - Returned to Havana, joined Cuban Avant-Gaurd Mvmt
  7. (Then this could segueway into some of her award-winning paintings while she was back in Cuba)

  9. P.S.: I haven't chosen a painting yet for my section. I'm trying to find the one that best represents European Abstraction/Avant-Garde.
