  1. The Nagual turns quite as soon as Dylerun enters the room, and quickly pulls out a slightly messy scrapbook, riddled with notes.
  2. (Na'atl)
  3.
  4. "Todays lesson is about the imagination."
  5.
  6. A simple statement as the teachers short stride carried him into the room. His face was blank, though there was an underlying irritation to the man. As though he were slightly annoyed, some minor inconvenience wrought upon him earlier that had simply ruined his day. In his hands, a stress ball was squeezed tightly, the poor piece of rubber seeming horribly abused.
  7.
  8. "More importantly, on what you as students, and future Rift mages, can do with it." Dylerun would turn, ball being quietly passed from one hand to the other as he addressed the class. "But before we begin! Has anyone made any advancements on their lessons? Any troubles or concerns on the path?"
  9. (Dylerun Grauhimmel)
  10.
  11. As usual, he'd wait, listening to what Dylerun had to say.
  12.
  13. Yet, the question made by him was quite surprising. Were they even supposed to make any further advancement on their own, as in, to actually attempt to open the Rift? That sounded dangerous, and while some daring students could try doing so, Arthur had his hands full of other magics he's had to practice.
  14.
  15. Besides, he chose a far safer approach to Riftmancy, instead visiting these lessons at every opportunity given, for as long as possible.
  16.
  17. "--Not quite, Sir."
  18.
  19. "The only thing I've been doing is wandering across Agartha, memorizing new places and trying to make sure I got them right. I'd come back here and then, and compare them to what I reflected earlier."
  20.
  21. "Memory's pretty important as I figured, so before trying to open anything, I decided to hone that instead."
  22. (Arthur Rowan)
  23.
  24. The Nagual had, of course, trained in his ability to use the Arcane. He didn't, however put his hand up, because he didn't know how to answer the question because he'd missed the last lesson. So, he just sat back and let others answer, to begin with.
  25. (Na'atl)
  26.
  27. Nima didn't starting making his notes his, as instead his gaze was focused on Dylerun and his stress ball. Most likely, what Ikari did earlier to that man really did upset him- To a level that Nima didn't expect at all. That by itself, made the Valmasian wonder why the Grauhimmel felt like this. Perhaps a trauma? Or just too much stress due to his role.
  28.
  29. "I.. Managed to overcome my fear. Acquiring confidence, as you said last time, sir. Other than that, nothing else."
  30. (Nima Hatayer)
  31.
  32. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Good! If you hadn't by today, I would have sent you to the Zheng remnants and had you walk back."
  33.
  34. She's heard plenty about the word imagination, and much about how the mind is typically but a barrier that could be overcome to achieve many things. It was interesting to learn how it all tied together, and to say that this school had unlocked many interests for the female was another statement.
  35.
  36. "No sir, this is my first class on the topic actually."
  37.
  38. She'd taken other classes, and was mostly a new attendant, but she'd learned plenty in the months involving herself, and desired to learn much more.
  39.
  40. She looked over at the faces present, and wondered just what it was they had performed before her attendance.
  41. (Rea)
  42.
  43.
  44. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "A new face? Welcome aboard."
  45.
  46. Angelo still accompanies the class. He keeps quiet for now, however, the wooden cane touching the ground slightly while positioned between thighs. No words are emitted as he simply faces forward, before it is finally time to speak-- More than likely waiting to be the last one.
  47.
  48. "Not many, sir. I've been trying, however." He says, a slight smile blooming.
  49. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  50.
  51. "The commentary on confidence has recently helped me with the spiritual realm. I think I would've been in a lot of trouble other than Nethradin attack if I didn't have confidence."
  52.
  53. There was nothing else she really had to add on, but she'd begin penning down the title for the lesson. Imagination and all, exploring the mind. It was a good thing, really. Imagination could help them recall details, right?
  54.
  55. Or it could've potentially warped details. Hard to say...
  56. (Zetes)
  57.
  58. Lumped in with Rea, he's also very new to this class considering they had recently joined, and at the same time no less. He looks around and wonders just what everyones actual interest in Riftmancy was, and did that mean that by default he, too was interested?
  59.
  60. ''I'm with her, it's my first class so, thanks for havin' us.''
  61.
  62. Were they gonna do something else incredibly fun like before, here?
  63. (Ian)
  64.
  65. As Dylerun's first words reverberate through the room, the Valmasian boy eviscerates a small bag inside the blackened robes. Suddenly, notes composed of bad caligraphy and pens flooded the desk.
  66.
  67. Quietly, the golden irises observed Dylerun. A deep scrutiny followed the action, observing the stress ball, analyzing the teacher's countenance. Interest sparkled within the one, however, interrupting the class wouldn't be wise.
  68.
  69. Since he wasn't present other classes, taciturnity dominated the blonde, writing in unison to the rift mage's words and avoiding to leak the content.
  70. (Elyas d'Argentein)
  71.
  72. He finally raised his hand. Na'atl did his trademark smile, before saying to the teacher "I've been practicing with the 'Key' a few times a day, and I've been training in the Arcane." He didn't really know if it was the kind of answer he was expected to give, but it was the only one he had.
  73. (Na'atl)
  74.
  75. Adriel quietly makes his way inside, sliding into the last chair left. No replies escape at Dylerun's words, though, just a mere nod and brief glance spared backwards in the direction of an older blonde. He was late
  76. (Adriel d'Argentein)
  77.
  78.
  79. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "The latter disinterests me."
  80.
  81. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "And has nothing to do with this class."
  82.
  83. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "However, take a note from Arthurs book. Explore the world, and see them. Commit to memory places, and sounds, and smells."
  84. Gil had memorized certain areas, even going as far as making sketches and walking around certain areas with his eyes closed for seconds at a time trying to see what he remembered. The Shinobi remains silent however wanting to hear the other class mates success or shortcomings with this exercise.
  85.
  86. The shinobi sits up looking at the instructor and then wonders where the man had been using his abilities.
  87. (Gil)
  88.
  89.
  90. Na'atl exclaims, "Y-Yes sir!"
  91.
  92. "I'm glad you mentioned Nethradin, as this lesson also brings with it the Spirit Realm, and traversal there."
  93.
  94. Badink!
  95.
  96. The ball would be thrown at the ground, lightly bouncing up to be caught in a gnarled grip. "As hard as it is to learn, the ability to open a Rift is extremely versatile. Travelling acrossed the world, shortening your adventure in any amount of time, is a great boon. And interests many." A gesture with the ball at the nearly full classroom. "But what many don't realize is that it has in-combat capabilities. As well as a small other handful of quiet functions."
  97.
  98. "We'll get to that later. However, some of you may question. SpiritRealm. Rift magic requires you to be somewhere, memorize a place, but how do you open a portal there? Its not quite the Void, where if you aimlessly cast open a portal it allows access. And it isn't the physical realm, here. So how does one open a portal there, to Hel? To the elemental plains? To the great tree itself?"
  99.
  100. The ball would be squeezed tightly as Dylerun paused for dramatic effect. Shifting his eyes to one student here, another there. "There are rituals to help, and very few mages, including myself, have used them to open temporary portals to the Spirit Realm. Physically, its very rare to have your entire body be sent to the Spirit Realm. However, its been done in the past, and those that survive are hardly human when they come out. If they come out. In tandem with Rift magic, things like Mystic energy makes a connection to the Spirit Realm. Perhapsthrough an estranged abusive bond with the Lifestream allows this. I'm not particularly sure as the why. I only know the how."
  101.
  102. "Which I will not be telling any of you until you become full-fledged Rift mages. The Spirit Realm is a horrible place. Nethradin demons, different from Yokai in a variety of ways, plague the realms of Helheim and others. Wardens, guardians of the realms, would seek to scatter your soul to oblivion never to return to your body. You would remain a husk, until your body passed on. Unable to be retrieved in the event your 'soul' perishes."
  103.
  104. "This topic has shifted around quite a bit. I'm...sorry, my head isn't all here at the moment. But does everyone understand me so far?"
  105. (Dylerun Grauhimmel)
  106.
  107. The valmasian once again started taking notes on the topic at hand before stopping abruptly upon realizing the topic at hand was..the spirit realm. Well..lovely timing. At this point the valmasian raised his hand before answering his question. Honestly? He was..getting pretty confused as to why spirit realm stuff was popping up everywhere.
  108.
  109. "Uh..quick question..If a person already visited the spirit world and had..said items from that realm would it make riftomancy easier for the person?"
  110. (Lu Zain)
  111.
  112.
  113. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Any connection, be it a physical item or past experience, makes the trip easier."
  114.
  115. Lu Zain says, "Interesting..thank you."
  116.
  117. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Having a conduit, an item from the Realm, would make it far easier to make some form of connection to allow travel."
  118. This was breathtaking.
  119.
  120. A travel to spiritual realm, to that in which Nethradin Demons live in? Certainly, this was not going to be anything to be taken lightly- an extremely dangerous journey, one that could end in one's death in most gruesome, horrible ways. It's something that he'd need to keep in mind of, something that he'd need to be cautious about, but--
  121.
  122. -- considering that he wishes to study the Necromancy too, eventually? This means that he would not be able to pass up such topic, not at all.
  123.
  124. But how does one exactly get to Spirit Realm in the first place? For as far as he recalled, Riftmancy required to be at the particular spot at some point, to actually memorize the place, to actually remember how it looks like, or else one would end up in the Void.
  125.
  126. Maybe that didn't apply to Spirit Realm?
  127.
  128. "Sir--"
  129.
  130. "How does one exactly travel to Spirit Realm, in the first place? Since Riftmancy requires one to already know the place, what hope does Riftmancer have to make it there, if at all?"
  131.
  132. "Or other methods must be employed to reach Spirit Realm, before even attempting to use Riftmancy in the future to return again?"
  133.
  134. And as dangerous as it was, it didn't scare Arthur, not one bit. If anything, the opportunity to actually traverse Spirit Realm was exciting, mesmerizing, enchanting.
  135.
  136. Even if it'd cost a piece of himself.
  137. (Arthur Rowan)
  138.
  139. A twitch of the corner of her mouth is given, a small smile hidden away as she nods her head slowly. At least she had some form of lead in with her commentary other than making it apparent she had nearly made herself open to becoming Nethradin food. Though, she recalled it-- the Warden before, the one that tried to test the purity of those inside.
  140.
  141. Even then, she would write along to the statements offered there within. Demons, Guardians, so on, so forth... The details would be watched after as she kept to her little corner of the desk, mindful of Elyas next to her and his sprawling pages of notes there.
  142.
  143. Conduits-- items that made said travel easier. Such as...
  144.
  145. Ah. Her fingers reach down, taking a hold of the spirit shard that she kept on a chain around her neck, glancing toward it momentarily. She got it. Sort of.
  146. (Zetes)
  147.
  148.
  149. Rea says, "I believe he said you could do a ritual, Arthur."
  150.
  151. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Rituals, as well as a small handful of others ways. None of which I will tell you."
  152.
  153. Rea says, "Or you could establish a connection, with an item."
  154. Quiet, for most parts, and there's a bit of frown which touches along those pale features. The younger d'Argentein would shift a tiny bit, sienna orbs focused upon that ball, and then Dylerun's own features before he'd pause a tiny bit.
  155.
  156. Slowly would couple notes embrace along his side of the table, pens gripped somewhat tightly in-between his fingers as he scribed down a tiny bit here and there, briefly sparing glances in Dylerun's direction as the man spoke, but...
  157.
  158. ...no words, really. The teen would remain quiet, only a tiny frown being visible, and a bit of nod there all the while.
  159. (Adriel d'Argentein)
  160.
  161.
  162. Lu Zain says, "The spirit realm..is an interesting effect. I could uh..give you an item for it Arthur."
  163. Gil does his best to take a few notes. Most of the notes were visual, a crude drawing of a stick figure on the outside of a tube like passage way. On the other side a stick figure with what looked like a tail rather than feet? A spirit perhaps. The Shinobi continues to jot down do's and don'ts of this lesson. He notes and makes a star next to "Mystic Energy" seeing as the instructor would not give out that information until they'd learned to become rift magi anyway.
  164.
  165. Seems most of these abilities dealing with the life stream could render anyone completely immobilized or in a constant state of agony beyond the reach of those willing to dive in and see for themselves.
  166.
  167. A place where none return.
  168. (Gil)
  169.
  170.
  171. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "When you've mastered the art, come find me. Then we'll talk."
  172. Gil whispers something.
  173.
  174.
  175. Arthur Rowan says, "--Precise words on these rituals is what I've been asking about, Rea, but..."
  176.
  177. Arthur Rowan says, "I understand why."
  178.
  179. Rea says, "Ahh, apologies."
  180.
  181. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Nethradin can cause havoc not unlike the Agarthan demons. On a scale even worse, if one were to be released here."
  182.
  183. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Pound for pound, an old enough Nethradin could likely take on a Yokai from Valmasia. And they were city-breakers."
  184.
  185.
  186. Zetes says, "They hurt. A lot."
  187.
  188. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "The last thing any of us want is a fledgling mage to release one."
  189.
  190. Lu Zain says, "...That they do.."
  191.
  192. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Especially...on school grounds."
  193.
  194. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "That they do. Hurt. A lot."
  195.
  196. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "I see some have experienced them themselves, as I have."
  197.
  198. Elyas d'Argentein asks, "...can you tell us about your experience with them, teacher?"
  199.
  200. "That sounds scary, doesn't it Ian?" She's unsure of whether or not the adolescent is listening, but the slightest whisper, and nudge at least allows her to confirm whether that may, or may not be the case.
  201.
  202. Arthur's question was however something daring, and while she may have went about answering it wrong, she simply attempts to laugh it off and continue scribbling away within her notes.
  203.
  204. "Have you faced a Nethr-"
  205.
  206. Yet it seems like that question was answered. She simply shifts in her seat, and hums as to what else she could ask..
  207. (Rea)
  208.
  209. The blind boy was certainly interested in travels to the spirit realm! There was something in it that called upon him, something in it that seemed to be promising and somewhat intriguing to the blonde.
  210.
  211. Well, there were multiple tales! And perilous paths lied ahead, apparently, and all of these would have to be explored by the sightless danger. Even if there were other things, there was something that he was interested in knowing.
  212.
  213. But that was a question for later. The topic was already shifted away from its original subject, there was no point in lingering upon it any longer.
  214. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  215.
  216. The Nagual furiously began taking notes on everything Dylerun had said. Noting down everything the other students had said, Na'atl was out of his depth. He wasn't exactly the studious type before he came to Pleure, so a few of the words used would have to be researched later. Even so, he mustered the courage to ask:
  217.
  218. "Sir, is there any way to retrieve a soul from the spirit realm? Also, what happened to those that ventured there after returning?
  219.
  220. (Na'atl)
  221.
  222. Dylerun Grauhimmel asks, "Recover a soul? Perhaps. As for what happened to those that came back?"
  223.
  224. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "They had grown mad from wandering the endless wastes. Parts of them had grown ghoulishly, almost appearing as an undead or a spirit themselves."
  225.
  226. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "...All in all, generally unpleasant."
  227.
  228. Na'atl says, "How strange..."
  229. "Slightly off topic...but, I'll indulge."
  230.
  231. The lightest of smirks would flicker at the edge of his lip, before vanishing. Voice changing, creeping ever so lightly out of the depressing mood he seemed to be in. "We were actually on a small expedition to learn more about the art of Spiritmancy. In particular, the art of summoning a spirit from the Spirit Realm, to control it. With enough experience, this could extend to Nethradin. Called Demonmancy, I think. Or something."
  232.
  233. "A cult- as there usually always is a cult- had been under a Nethradin ruler for quite some time. Smaller demons from the Realm were in our way, but...well. They weren't in our way for long. Carving a path through them, those of the cult, and eventually to what they claimed was their deity. They hadn't met many Valmasians before. Stories tell of Valmasians killing angels, gods, demons. Anything that stood in their way."
  234.
  235. Propoganda. "We were of no exception. It boasted incredible cosmic powers, seeming to bend the very moon to its will. But, the illusion of power isn't quite power. It wasn't the actual moon; simply artificial. It wasn't a god. Only a demon." The ball would be rolled in his hand, a frown creasing his face. Almost dissapointed. "And the Nethradin demon met its end. Our goal was completed, and we left."
  236. (Dylerun Grauhimmel)
  237.
  238.
  239. Rea asks, "That wouldn't be Belial, would it?"
  240.
  241. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "What? No, no."
  242.
  243. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "It was far below anything like that."
  244.
  245. Rea says, "Ahh, okay. "
  246. He side glances Rea. When the hell did she get educated on anything related to history? He's certainly not recalling a time where she brought up the typical know-hows.
  247.
  248. His pen works on the paper and, although he doesn't speak up Ian is vigorously writing something down on the parchment given to him. A slight glance behind him spots two neries.
  249.
  250. Dammit.
  251. (Ian)
  252.
  253. The Nagual continues taking notes, and raises his hand again.
  254.
  255. "Did these demons boast any special attributes?"
  256. (Na'atl)
  257.
  258. Even though it was off topic, there was still something to learn from this.
  259.
  260. The fact that these Nethradin Demons could still be enslaved and bound to the magi of this realm, and that alone could become a very formidable and useful skill to be in possession of- besides, Nethradin have certainly hoarded countless riches and rarest of materials for themselves over the decades, or even centuries of their existence, haven't they?
  261.
  262. It was greedy, perhaps, but the idea sparked within Arthur's mind - to quite literally raid those Demons for all that they and their cults have. Hearing the stories that there were Valmasians of the past able to overcome such adversity, certainly it would be feasible to go after these Demons for the purpose of taking what's theirs, right?
  263.
  264. At least, he thought so.
  265.
  266. He scribbled that down. It's something to keep in mind for the future reference, for the times when he actually learns Riftmancy - the fact that these Demons could be bested, and that they had their own places with their own cults. Perhaps the riches were waiting.
  267. (Arthur Rowan)
  268.
  269. Zetes doesn't seem to notice Ian in the slightest. She's a nerd who focuses on class.
  270. (Zetes)
  271.
  272. Gil scans lightning over the classroom, wondering if anyone here was as curious as he was to witness the power of such a being. A city breaker. This was the one thing that stood out to gil for the moment. To have power like that, you could raize cities in no time at all. Turn a colony to mush, rubbish, Gil was twiddling his thumbs together. The excitement he felt from hearing about something so powerful, he wondered if he could out run one.
  273. (Gil)
  274.
  275. Gil whispers something.
  276.
  277. The girl twirls a pencil between her digits, she didn't seem too interested beyond connecting one and two, and it'd have certainly been interesting to hear that their teacher had faced off against such a powerful being.
  278.
  279. She hums. The spirit world definitely had interesting attributes, but they were not something to be easily grasped upon through ordinary means.
  280.
  281. She'd yet to even begin to make the steps to towards basic riftomancy. But, the knowledge alone was enough of a step for her to imagine..
  282. (Rea)
  283.
  284. Despite avoiding the thematic focus, the topic of evidence brought way more interest to Elyas. Noting every single word and glazing important items, another question wobbled inside the valmasian's mind.
  285.
  286. "Interesting, teacher. However, how would a Nethradin survive inside our realm? Are they similar to our demons?"
  287.
  288. Slightly curving his head, the golden eyes were cemented upon Dylerun, delineating a face of curiosity.
  289. (Elyas d'Argentein)
  290.
  291. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "How? They simply...would. I'm not an expert on Nethradin."
  292.
  293.
  294. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "I only know how to kill them."
  295.
  296. Elyas d'Argentein asks, "...how do you kill a Nethradin, then?"
  297.
  298. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Preferably, with a sword."
  299.
  300. Elyas d'Argentein says, "Common methods. Understood."
  301.
  302. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Common methods."
  303.
  304. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Utility. Traversal to the Spirit Realm, as well as rituals."
  305.
  306. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "But, other uses."
  307.
  308. "One of them, outside of simple travel, is not quite as exciting. A small...hmm, 'pocket' can be opened to hold non-living items. A sword, a shield. That leftover ham sandwich that you hadn't quite finished. It requires less concentration, and more experience. But this small fold, pocket, whatever you so choose to call it, can be incredibly useful."
  309.
  310. "Another is far more exciting, and an art that I cannot teach you. Using intricate runes- And of course, experience, one can 'mark' a person. With this mark, you are able to recall them to you in a moments notice. In the event you're attacked and being overwhelmed, and require aid? Instead of fleeing, you may call a comrade to you."
  311.
  312. The hand with the ball would gesture idly in the air, Dylerun sighing. "However, this isn't an art I know. Its known to the one who taught me, however. She may pass it on in time. In the meantime, something a bit more exciting. In-combat uses."
  313. (Dylerun Grauhimmel)
  314.
  315.
  316. Larish says, "Oi? Can I join the class? Sorry for being late..."
  317.
  318. Dylerun Grauhimmel asks, "Oh? I thought such things didn't interest you?"
  319.
  320. Larish says, "No no that was the other one."
  321.
  322. Larish says, "The guy that brought me, I wasn't paying attention and didn't know I was invited."
  323.
  324. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Its a school. What we do here is teach. Everyone is invited."
  325. Something to re-call your comrade like that?
  326.
  327. It's something that he needed to note down as well- once Dylerun noted that it was a 'she', he immediately guessed that it was Nyphadora. There was absolutely no one else that Arthur knew that could manipulate such things, and if Dylerun could not do it, then there was only one other individual that could.
  328.
  329. And that's her, the Fae.
  330.
  331. He continued listening. The portion with in-combat uses was certainly promising to be good.
  332. (Arthur Rowan)
  333.
  334.
  335. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Have a seat."
  336.
  337. The boy would take a bow to Dylerun as he scans the class room looking for an open seat. After some time deciding the male would begin to make his way to his right, towards the very edge of the classroom. Once nearing the table he would sit down.
  338.
  339. "Thank you~" He'd state after words keeping his manners about him.
  340. (Larish)
  341.
  342. Furiously scribbling away, Na'atl ignores the fact that his last question was ignored. The idea just presented to him interested him quite a bit. The Nagual, ever creative with his magic, thought of countless situations in which the 'pocket' could be extremely useful. Imagine fighting an opponent and placing a powerful spell into a pocket, before leading an opponent into a pre-marked place, and unleashing it unto them? So many possibilities...
  343.
  344. "Sir, is it possible to set traps, using the 'pockets' and runes?" He thought to ask, but instead wrote it down as something to ask after the class.
  345. (Na'atl)
  346.
  347. Gives a glace toward the student who'd just walked in. He then looks back to the instructor. The shinobi felt as if this was the best seat, always alerted to who was entering. Who was on the move, who was exiting.
  348.
  349. He takes a moment to try to focus himself once more on the lesson.
  350.
  351. Combat uses, this was what he wanted to hear about. The shinobi removes another blank sheet of paper eager to hear about the rift's maneuverability or potential to cause devastation to an opponent.
  352.
  353. He could only visualize a head being sucked into a portal.
  354. (Gil)
  355.
  356. Gil whispers something.
  357.
  358.
  359. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Anything is possible."
  360.
  361. For a moment, Dylerun would toss the ball into the air, catching it, before tossing it in the direction of Nima. As it slowly flew through the air, the Rift teacher would smile, and in that instant, his body would shift ever so lightly. It became grey around the edges, and that ever-sickly sensation that came with the art of Rift magic began to seep into the air. It was lighter than before, far more tolerable, but it was ever-present as the man would take a step forward.
  362.
  363. Grey static carried him, and in less time it took to blink, he was in the center of the classroom. Another step, and he stood on the desk of Vira, one boot lightly tapping against the Neries' notes as he looked upon the class in a very Dead Poets Society manner. Another step, and he would be behind Nima, one hand resting on the boys shoulder. Turning to address as his free hand caught the very same ball that was thrown moments ago.
  364.
  365. "Its called the 'step', or if you prefer, 'Rift-warp'. With Rift magic, you channel outward and forward- opening the tear infront of you before stepping through. This is slightly different. With excess energy, you channel 'inward'. Take to heart when I say, its one of the far less dangerous means that Rift magic gives you access to."
  366.
  367. "However, channeling 'inward' is horribly vague, as if you channel too much inward, youcanbesuckedintoblivionfromtheinsideout, but! With access energy, and only the slightest of concentration, it can be achieved in combat. Allowing you to become far more difficult to hit, as well as being able to dodge away from attacks and step over obstacles that would otherwise hamper you."
  368.
  369. A light squeeze would be given to the boys shoulder, before he returned to the center of the class. "Difficult? Yes. But the usefulness outweighs it, and its something that comes far more naturally in learning once you've unlocked the art."
  370. (Dylerun Grauhimmel)
  371.
  372. Ian takes the opportunity while the teacher has his attention turned to someone. He flicks it, like a bumble-bees stinger, flying quick and fast, this folded parchment meant for only a single set of eyes. Though Rea being directly near him may be able to spot what he says.
  373.
  374. It'll probably smack against her arm or something but Zetes will be the recipient regardless of this origami'd paper shifted into a makeshift missile.
  375.
  376. Immediately after he returns to facing forward as swift as possible. Not so very swift.
  377. (Ian)
  378.
  379. Fairly impressive.
  380.
  381. Now, considering his own combat style and how he'd oft need to evade the attacks whenever he used up the most of his assaulting magics, this sort of technique that Riftmancy offered seemed as attractive as no other. To be able to simply evade your enemy at will, with almost no real effort, for as long as you actually mastered the Art to that point?
  382.
  383. It was absolutely amazing.
  384.
  385. It is something he needed to note down as well. He knew that the hard road lies before him, and that he would certainly need something to back himself up in the future adventures- knowing a technique like this would be yet another excellent tool to ensure his safety in many fights to come.
  386.
  387. Every single thing that Dylerun said, every single piece of guidance that he'd offer, it was all taken in without even a single slip up of his attention. If he really wanted to unlock the mastery of the Rift with time to come, such issues could not be allowed.
  388. (Arthur Rowan)
  389.
  390. The dark skinned teen had been watching, seeing the ball thrown as he cringed for a moment and at that very moment watching the teacher be sucked into a portal and out the other side to catch the ball before it could every hit the student. The young Magi to be stared in awe, throwing out his note piece of paper as he jotted down basically how cool riftmancy appeared.
  391.
  392. "Teacher? How are we unlocking the secrets of rift magic exactly?" He questioned after putting his notes down, he had missed a lot of the class due to not paying attention but now he knew better and to keep his full attention onto the teacher while in the class room. The young male would sit there in anticipation waiting for the older males response, drawing a cool looking rift like thing on his arm as he waited for the answer. He wanted to be a riftmancer now, this was certain.
  393. (Larish)
  394.
  395. Why does it have to be Nima.
  396.
  397. It all happened so fast, but so slow at the same time. The ball coming to his direction, his eyes wide open seeing the object coming into his direction, ready to hit him just like that one time his sister punched his forehead when he burned her doll by mistake, when they were children. And then? Dylerun started to move around the room with.. Slight teleportation magic? Rift Magic, of course!
  398.
  399. He felt his shoulder being touched and gave a slight jump due to the surprise, only to notice how he grabbed the stress ball and went back to the middle of the glass with the object in hands. He was speechless, impressed and excited to what he just saw.
  400.
  401. Were Rift Magi that impressive? His interest grew, for many different reasons, as he starts to write his notes like a madman!
  402.
  403. "T-That was amazing, sir."
  404.
  405. Stuttering due to the sudden burst of anxiety, he half became the focus of the class for a few seconds once again.
  406. (Nima Hatayer)
  407.
  408. Sucked up from the inside out?
  409.
  410. A churning sensation did tickle at the inside of her stomach as she twisted, watching as the gray static would carry him forward to Vira's desk. A 'rift warp' being one of the less dangerous things that could've been shown with the ability.
  411.
  412. Though, a bit of a disgruntled sound would leave her lips as she felt herself smacked by the likes of a piece of paper careening through the air. She'd been distracted from the others around by, you know, the lesson at hand. A sour look does come across her features as the piece of twisted up paper would float idly next to her head, gravity losing its grip upon it as she focused back on her notes.
  413.
  414. Catching up to the spoken word, the way her pencil ground a bit into the paper might've suggested she was going to likely beat someone up if she found out who was bugging her in the middle of an important lesson...
  415. (Zetes)
  416.
  417. "This sounds like something I'd need to learn..." She murmurs to herself, for the ability to evade, and to close in onto opponents at will was an immeasurable ability. She thinks long and hard about the benefits of learning this, and soon enough she is scribbling down notes.
  418.
  419. There were so many tools this school could provide and it'd be a shame to let them slip through her grasps.
  420.
  421. Ian's trick however warrants a brief glance, and a questioning gaze of whether or not he'd even been interested in the lesson.
  422.
  423. "Hmn…"
  424. (Rea)
  425.
  426.
  427. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Through the practice, and art, of channeling mana forward to tear a hole that you may step through, uh..."
  428.
  429. Dylerun Grauhimmel asks, "...I...What was your name?"
  430. As always, Dylerun could keep the boy's hunger for knowledge satiated. The diverging energy points being concentrated, the teacher's figure disappearing... it all appeared so new, so powerful. Yet...
  431.
  432. Once the Oscuri revealed the magic, a hand was juxtaposed to Elyas' mouth, biting his own lip, hiding part of the disgusted countenance. Thunderous blows echoed inside his own ear, and the pupils flinched for a brief moment.
  433.
  434. Regaining the noble posture, the pencil returned to the paper, taking notes of the experience, carefully analyzing his surroundings.
  435. (Elyas d'Argentein)
  436.
  437.
  438. Larish says, "Larish."
  439.
  440. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Larry."
  441.
  442. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Have one of the others give you notes of the past lessons, and perhaps you can begin learning as well."
  443. Na'atl's hand, pausing for a second to watch Dylerun's demonstration, found itself noting down the details of the teacher's movements. "W-Wow..." He muttered to himself, constantly looking around the classroom, trying to see where Dylerun would appear next.
  444.
  445. This being his first exposure to an atmosphere of Rift magic caused the Nagual to retch slightly, but he managed to pull it off mostly unnoticed.
  446.
  447. 'With excess energy, you channel inward.' Excess energy? He had no idea what that meant, but could guess it had something to do with getting used to the Rift.
  448.
  449. Such a difficult move, being pulled off with such finesse. If Na'atl didn't idolise Dylerun before, he surely did now. He was breathtaken for a few moments, before raising his hand to ask "Sir, what exactly did you mean by 'excess energy'?"
  450.
  451. He didn't want to have any doubts.
  452. (Na'atl)
  453.
  454.
  455. Larish asks, "Psst, cool looking guy do you have notes from the previous lesson?"
  456. Gil takes what the instructor says a bit lighter due to his expression of this being what he interpreted as easier to do. There was probably still a chance to hurt yourself doing this technique while you practiced. However Gil presumed this was a really useful skill.
  457.
  458. He wanted to learn more about it.
  459.
  460. He thinks about this "Step" The focus needed to jump forward constantly in the middle of a battle. The concentration required was probably beyond anything he had ever practiced for before.
  461.
  462. He then turns to Larish figuring he was talking to him, he shakes his head slowly signaling "No" and returns to face the front of the class room.
  463. (Gil)
  464.
  465.
  466. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "However, unlike rift magic at its base, no. You cannot bring others with you during your 'Rift Warp'."
  467.
  468. Larish asks, "Hey? Does anyone in row one have notes from the previous lesson?"
  469.
  470. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Its a solo venture, meant for combat."
  471.
  472. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Preferably ask /AFTER/ the class."
  473.
  474.
  475. Larish says, "Oh oh, my bad."
  476.
  477. Na'atl says, "Decreased capacity, increased effectivenes..."
  478.
  479. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "I've spoken in length, and the art of Rift magic is few and far between."
  480.
  481. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Only your imagination will keep you back. Here, learning the Art, as well as in all things in life."
  482.
  483. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Possibilities are endless. You each have the capacity to earn your own stories."
  484.
  485.
  486. Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Now go and prove you're worthy enough to earn them. Class dismissed."
  487.
  488. Dylerun Grauhimmel exclaims, "--Continue practicing! I'll check up on you next lesson!"
  489.
  490. Larish asks, "Ok, does anyone in row one have notes on the previous lesson?"
  491. The Nagual begins to pack up, before looking up to the teacher. In such a short time, he felt as though he'd learned so much- The only question he had left was:
  492.
  493. "How exactly do we practice for this, sir?"
  494.
  495. He was expecting a vague answer, it seemed that all the teachers in this academy gave them.
  496. (Na'atl)
  497.
  498. --Possibilities are endless.
  499.
  500. At times, it almost sounded like that. While less creative minds could simply see Riftmancy as teleportation tool and nothing more, for Arthur, it was the tool to defy the world itself, its borders, its boundaries and its distance. With enough experience, time, effort and strength, nearly entire world could be at his hand.
  501.
  502. To go absolutely anywhere he desires, even to the other realms.
  503.
  504. It was an alluring thing, something that Arthur would certainly pay more attention to- besides, it'd seem that his Storm magic practices were finishing up, and that meant he would have more time to devote himself for other things.
  505.
  506. That includes Riftmancy.
  507.
  508. With class dismissed, Arthur was quick to pack up what he wrote so far; he only nodded once at Dylerun, already aware of what he should be doing, based on his previous words throughout the lessons.
  509.
  510. "Thank you for the lesson, Master Grauhimmel."
  511. (Arthur Rowan)
