Sure there is other stuff to do between EQs, but for the most part, getting BiS equipment is by way of EQs. That is the end game of PSO2 I guess from the top gacha. It's a arcade game after all. And boy has the energy creep reach fast, often quicker than I am in a position to catch up, though I'm not sitting in my pc camping EQs 24/7. End game is a slow burn, although its fun as you're leveling up, and beginning to gear up. Making it a perfect side match, as you just need to log in whenever the EQ you need is up.

Concerning gearing, you won't need quite great gear to do EQs, unless you are really tryhard. You very rarely fail EQs on JP servers, unless everybody is poor, since they are generally lenient enough. Though there are a few elitists who blacklist and judge people according to course combination and their gear. However, do feel free to go for fashion instead of optimisation, as it won't matter too much, unless you're attempting to put records for TAs (time strikes AKA speed runs).

When I played it was a 2012 release that was suppose to arrive at the west rather than got the publisher service. I warn you, in comparison to BDO it plays like a game from 2012. Played it a shit ton and it won't be on the NA server, should I do play. I think that the NA server will die quickly because the folks that actually wanted to play with the game have done so through the Tweaker. People that will play NA will probably be the same which jump from mmo into mmo.
