  1. It was the usual routine. Get up, bathe, throw some clothes on, and then out for a hunt.
  2.
  3. Starting the day heading southeast. He was always bound to find something to bring back home and cook up. Baors, Bunnies, etc.
  4.
  5. Being half naked with a scarf wrapped around your neck, body laced with scars and being legless did cause some problems. But as for the rest. He was perfectly fine.
  6.
  7. He would use his wooden sword as a cane as he moved about. Only that this time he would soon become interrupted by a mysterious being. What would come of this?!
  8. (Kyrian Hayes)
  9. A nice little walk through Yokai infested Wychwood is simply the best way to kick of one's day, right? The Wolf Mother decided that it was high time that she got in touch with nature once again, not through a commune of course but through some sight seeing. After the event in the marshlands she figured she could use a breather, what with the recent aquirement of a home base, the drama that ensued afterward, and the sudden need to not like being called sister.
  10.
  11. Honestly, Vali has been a wild card over the years but this one takes the cake. The title mother started to sound like a better name than sister, even though she did not like a certain Kraus loving group call her such, it still had a nice ring to it. Still, here she is, with her long flowing snow-white hair, golden eyes scanning the entire forest with a smile. The heavy clothing she wore covered her curvy form and ample bust, twas nice to hide the girls once and a while after all, didn't need ogling eyes in a place like this. . .were there others beside Yokai here?
  12.
  13. She would soon find the answer to this question as her walk soon leads her near the Ookami den, it was outside of there that she would see a legless Ookami male. A sight that served to make her brow raise, perhaps he could use a leg- er hand!
  14.
  15. "Ahem, hello there!" She said with a cheery tone, trying not to look at his missing leg.
  16. (Vali Baal)
  17. Rene was up to his usual thing, staying at the inn in Danarium, however rumors around the public saying war was coming to Danarium slightly discomforted him. If this were to be true, he knew people way stronger than him would show up, definately not having a good time in store. If the moment came though, he already had a plan if he could find Magnus around since it had been a while and he could see if Magnus had his affairs sorted out.
  18.
  19. Since Rene couldn't find Magnus around Rose court for now, he guessed he would go out and train as usual so he could be prepared if this war was really at hand and he needed to fight his way out. He wandered over to Wychwood, looking around to see that even the wood was relatively silent, not that many yokai littering around that day. He decided to pass right through for now and go up to the small plateu-like rock where he usually found quite a few Ookami, which he already made friends with one or two, how hard could more be.
  20.
  21. As he arrived on the spot, he sat at the cliff and decided to start off easy, meditating and facing toward the south. Soon, after a while of meditating, he opened his eyes as he heard someone speak. It was easily guessed before he even opened them, it was a couple of Ookami seeming to begin to socialize. Rene decided he needed to talk to some people, the last person he had talked to was Magnus a couple of months ago. He jumped down off the cliff, landing down on his feet near the two Ookami.
  22.
  23. "Well, hi there fellow people." Rene acknowledged the Ookami as equals, clearly proving he wasn't a racist like half the humans he'd met when he was a kid. "Looks like I'm not the only one wandering the wood today huh?"" He smiled gently, "I'm around here quite a bit so perhaps it's good to know me by my name, which is Rene! It's nice to see you out here!" He seemed glad not to be encountering yokai for once.
  24. (Rene)
  25. Stopping to a dead halt. Kyrian had noticed a strange figure out in the distance coming towards him. The closer and closer it got. The more prepared he was to strike out and injure it.
  26.
  27. The only thing was that as the figure would come near to an arms reach. He would notice that it was just Ookami. Dressed in white with angelic-like eyes.
  28.
  29. For one, he wasn't as nearly as presentable as he could be. He didn't even know that he was going to be meeting anyone out in these woods since most of the Ookamis who lived in Wychwood had decided to move out and join society. Which always bothered him but he simply did not have the powers to do anything about it. But he was here just to hunt.
  30.
  31. Ahem, hello there!
  32.
  33. She would say, which surprised him. He was used to female Ookami's having a sort of menacing voice and look as they walked about. Well not even just female's but males aswell. So this encounter was a little different.
  34.
  35. ". . . .Hello, is there something I could help you with?" he would say, ignoring the fact that she tried not to stare at his missing limb. But it couldn't be helped. He understood.
  36.
  37. Then after his saying, another presence would show its self in the woodlands and greeted himself with friendly tone, switching his focus. But his friendly attitude gave Kyrian the sense that he might not be a threat. But on the other hand. It bothered the crap out of him when the man had gave him their name. Which ruined his first impression of him.
  38.
  39. Quickly switching his focus back onto the Ookami infront of him. He would automatically assume that she followed the Great Wolf Spirit Asena. While he followed Saekanis. But the two basically had the same morals depending how you looked at it.
  40.
  41. With a heavy sigh " Why don't you handle this fool? . . ." he would say annoyingly. Hoping to watch a follower of Asena crush another humanoid. By the way Rene was going about his business. He was naive as it could get. But it wouldn't matter for long as he hoped that Vali would do what he thought. If she didn't. Then he would probably learn a thing or two. . .
  42. (Kyrian Hayes)
  43. The newest face within the forest just so happened to be a boy of sixteen. One that also just so happened to have came upon two Ookami, both of which seem to follow two different wolves, or at least one of them did. Vali, never really cared for either of them equally but gravitated more towards Asena because of how she wanted Vali to treat children. Still, that being said she is a neutral party, things like religion and worship never made the merc feel anything significant other than a great annoyance.
  44.
  45. That being said via narration, Vali simply turned her head and looked at the boy, he was kind of cute in a. . .teenage sort of way, and honestly looked to pose no real threat and if he tried to do something dastardly she would make him look like the Ookami before her.
  46.
  47. "Rene. . is it? Nice to meet, my name is Vali, Vali Baal, and this here is. . .a very strange Ookami who I have yet to know!" She retained her cheerful tone as she spoke to the boy. She managed to guess by the way the Ookami spoke and commanded her that he was a rude one, asking her to take care of a fool which is the boy, testing her more than likely.
  48.
  49. She would then turn to the male Ookami whom she nearly forgot still had one limb missing, such a thing caused her to gasp under her breathe "Ahem!" She had to cover that up as to not be rude however.
  50.
  51. "You wish me to handle the boy? In what way and why?" Her cheery tone was gone at this point when conversing with the other lupine, it was more of a mix between confusion and maturity. She herself wanted to know just what was this one's intentions.
  52.
  53.
  54. (Vali Baal)
  55. As the Ookami seemed to socialize with each other fine, and Rene was given the cold shoulder by the male Ookami. This slightly annoyed him as he was said to be "Taken care of" with what a fool he was he guessed. He wanted to say something, but he would see how the other Ookami would respond first, to see if he was going to get dunked on yet again, although it hadn't happened in a while.
  56.
  57. As the female Ookami rsponded nicely, even saying it was nice to meet Rene, he smiled, he didn't need another scar on his body, his training had beaten him up most of the time as it was. The Ookami seemed to be communicating again as the female seemed to talk in a more mature and serious tone now. As she had asked why to handle the boy and how, Rene seemed a bit more confident now, however, he wanted to interrupt for a slight moment.
  58.
  59. "Uhm, I don't mean to be rude, but I would like to butt in for a moment, since this involves me." He bowed slightly to try and be polite to the ookami female as the color of his iris turned red upon facing the other ookami. The eye began letting off red smoke like an aura right before he spoke, seeming to speak the same for a minute.
  60.
  61. "Sorry, but I think I already know how you want her to handle me. You want her to beat me up and teach me a lesson for being so nice and trusting right? right?" He paused for a moment, the red smoke-like aura coming from his eye intensifying as his voice changed for the menacing. "I'm on a good day so... DON'T... Take my kindness for weakness..." His smoky red aura seemed to be lightly portruding off his body for a moment, but it had went away as his voice seemed to go back to normal, niceness..
  62.
  63. "Sorry if i seemed rude, but I feel since that involved me, I would convey that message..." He bowed again apologetically.
  64. (Rene)
  65. Clink, clank, clink, clank.
  66.
  67. Out upon patrol, like Cimiron oft liked to do, the Exorcist garbed in the armament of Kraus. His helm would bounce against his greaves harmlessly, the sword on his back swinging a bit with each step. After all, how could you keep a hulking, monstrously sized hunk of metal like that from swinging? Standing upon a cliff, the Paragon of Kraus would look down upon the group for a little while, seemingly unnoticed.
  68.
  69. Until he picked out that someone might be assaulted. Then again, one of the members was Vali. Something told Cimiron that she wouldn't just jump on someone undeserving of it, let alone for free. Chuckling a little bit, he would place his foot upon the cliffside and the earth would reach to meet it. Placing a gauntlet clad hand on the face of the earth, he would slide down, creating dust in his wake.
  70.
  71. "I would hope that Vali wouldn't simply turn on you for no reason." But, just in case, I'll make my appearance. Strutting closer to the group, they could see there was a slight scar over his eye, jagged and rather fresh. Definitely wasn't a scar from a long time ago. Sliding his shield off of his arm, he would place it firmly against the ground and lean upon it, bending forward ever so slightly.
  72.
  73. "Beautiful day, no?"
  74.
  75. Not many words, but instead a presence that begs. . . No.
  76.
  77. Demands peace.
  78. (Cimiron Ganlo)
  79. A pudgy small child, nothing more, nothing less-- right? Right! With a small form wandering through the tundra, the child would find her attention caught by the likes of a small, white furred hare that bounded it's way through the snow. It was something that she wanted to follow along! There was not much wrong with scuffling through the snow and trying to follow a rabbit as it pushed itself through the snowy and expansive tundra, right? At least, that was how it went in her mind.
  80.
  81. It did not take long, though, for her to break free from the confines of the snow-filled land and soon find herself in a place that still held a good amount of chilly nature to it... But it was green. The purple eyes of the girl stared around in wonder as she twirled around on her legs, lips parting to express her wonder as she gave a breathy little sound in confusion.
  82.
  83. "How...?"
  84.
  85. It was clear that the girl hadn't seen spring time nor even autumn, always held to the likes of Frostvale. Though, there'd be no one around to witness her strange astonishment-- oh wait! There was that pesky hare that had managed to escape her.
  86.
  87. Dashing forward, she'd plop agains the ground in a bit of a dive, arms wrapping around the creature as she held it there in her arms, snuggling it close to her chest. Though!
  88.
  89. Her gaze would move along and she'd catch sight of a group of... gasp... older kids! Staring on, she'd wriggle a bit to sit up, watching on from behind a bit of shrubbery that had been there in the area. She had no reason to go and interrupt the conversation of people more important than her, so... For now, she'd watch and maybe listen to words that did not make sense in her mind. It was for the best at this point, anyways.
  90. (Calliope)
  91. Watching as to how Vali would interact with Rene. It was something that he had not expected. He least expected her to act that way towards Rene. But no. It still had happened.
  92.
  93. He would await for her to finish her talk with the man. Which was more an unusual act that he had expected. She had even called him strange? It wouldn't make sense to him until he remembered that he was legless.
  94.
  95. Then she would turn once more towards him. In which her gaze had automatically started at his lower body. He knew that she was looking at his missing limb. But he didn't mind it one bit. His pants were fit in a way that one of his legs was through one stretching, and the other stretching for his missing leg just hung there in the wind. Blowing about.
  96.
  97. Ahem
  98.
  99. She would say once more. Then she would ask as to what Kyrian had meaned about handling the boy.
  100.
  101. In which he would say. "Your a follower of Asena right? Isn't it a bit obiv-" but he was cut off. It was in a polite manner. But it bothered him alot.
  102.
  103. With a deep sigh. He would turn towards Rene and begin to stare him in the eye, and as he turned. He noticed a faint red hue in his eye. Then suddenly red smoke erupted before it. Dancing around in the air.
  104.
  105. 'Is this a threat?' he would think
  106.
  107. Standing there in the midst of the two. It would seem that he was the less favored out of the three so far. But that didn't bother him one bit. Then suddenly the boy had seemed to be correct about what Kyrian had thought Vali was going to do. In which he smirked and gave a small nod to compliment the young boy in figuring out that much.
  108.
  109. Then all of a sudden. The boy's voice would change as the aura surrounding his eye would intensify even more.
  110.
  111. The next reply he gave off didn't faze Kyrian at all as he stared at the boy with humor in his eyes. He thought that the sight was hilairous. Then after a couple of moments. The aura from his eye would fade away with the wind before the boy would apologize towards him.
  112.
  113. But sadly. Kyrian wasn't the one to be messed with in such a situation. Just because he was bruised up. Handicapped, and barely clothed. Did not mean for any inconsiderate fool to talk to him in such a way.
  114.
  115. Gripping the hilt of his cane with enough force to make the wood crack behind his force. Kyrian would give out a slight chuckle as he was now facing the ground. Hiding his face beneath his hair.
  116.
  117. " Don't take yor kindness for weakness? . . . .boy. Do you think that I care for you to show you any respect. I just met you, and with the way you were just talking to me. I find that as a threat. So don't you dare take MY kindness for weakness. " he had said in a menacing voice.
  118.
  119. Tilting up his face for his sadistic smile to show. Kyrian would now advance towards Rene. This was just perfect. He was already hungry, and this child could probably fill his apetite. But was he worth the hassle? Would taste the least bit of good? Probably not. But he was hunger, and it would seem the younger boy was just screaming at him saying EAT ME . . .
  120.
  121. But as he came closer towards the lad. His ears would twitch. Turning his head to the side he would notice a new face with a little girl beside him.
  122.
  123. The scene itself made him stop his movement towards Rene.
  124.
  125. "And who might you just be? . ." he called out towards the newcomers
  126. (Kyrian Hayes)
  127. the sudden turn of events escalated to a point that would resemble violence, this was a most unfortunate circumstance as Vali wished to possibly recruit one if not both of the males into her mercenary outfit, now. . .not so much. The boy, Rene, and the male Ookami who she had not asked of his name yet were about to come to blows, the male lupine being the one that more than likely wins-- would not be bad for a one-legged man.
  128.
  129. Of course, Vali would not step into the frey as such a thing would not be beneficial to her, as it would not fill her pockets with coin. Still, if the male wished to kill the boy then that would be a different story, a life is not something that should be taken so easily as she would say. Just incase she readied her claws for the potential battle, the first target of her assault would be the wooden sword he used as a walking stick. She would slash it to pieces and yell for the boy to run. Only if the situation led down that road of course.
  130.
  131. Alas it did not, or at least it won't now because of the new face that appeared before the trio, Cimiron. The woman raised her brows and allowed a smile to make it's way onto her face "Oh, Shinecrest! How lovely to see you outside of Frostvale once again." Her cheery tone returned quicker than it should have given the situation at hand but. . .
  132.
  133. Despite all of this, she did not ear nor smell the tiny girl that snuck up on everyone but more than likely, would have loved to meet her. Her obession with all things small and cute does that to her after all.
  134. (Vali Baal)
  135. Rene seemed a bit annoyed as the man had yet another arsenal of snarky words to throw at Rene. He then realized something, This man was trying to get his level headedness to deactivate, and magnus had said that this was one of Rene's best assets. Rene could not let Magnus down, keeping a level head and a rather blank expression until the Ookami was finished speaking.
  136.
  137. "Don't mistake YOUR kindness for weakness? I have not seen a shred of you being KIND to me this whole time. First you try getting me beat up, and you started off being quite rude to me, calling me a fool. I will have you know now, I am no fool, and I dunno how you were raised, but if someone approaches you, treating you with proper manners, you should be nice back until they show aggression, which I did, and I let you off with a warning, so I would say none of what you said just now is valid. I count the fac tyou taking me as a threat either, I don't threat... When I seem to be threatening, IT'S A PPROMISE. You're in no condition to even fight me, so why even try to put up the tough-guy attitude? And to think I was thinking about fixing that leg for you when I first approached." He questioned as the man began advancing toward him.
  138.
  139. Rene's aura exploded from him this time, immersing his body and a few inches away from him for a brief moment, the smoke flowing up into the sky. His eye was once again red, flowing out the smoky aura too, the smoke now calming down to a constant flow off his eye and body. His muscles had clearly increased in mass, condensing back down just above their normal size for extra density and speed. As the man kept advancing, Rene put a hand on the handle of his sword, getting ready to draw it if the man got any closer. Rene seemed reluctant to fight, having sadness in his eyes for pointless bloodshed, he had already done that enough in his life. However, he would defend for his life if he had to.
  140.
  141. Suddenly, the man stopped as his ear twitched off to his left, another man sliding down from the top of the cliff where Rene had once been. Rene seemed to sigh in relief as it seemed the man was pretty strong, and his voice sounded justified. The boy took his hand off his sheathed blade as his aura died out once again. He had also noticed a small little girl in the mix, wondering how she even got there, nothing had usually slipped past his senses so easily. Rene sighed once again, muttering something under his breath no average human would be able to hear to well, but perhaps the Ookami would.
  142.
  143. "Thank the gods, I didn't have to fight..." He then turned to the man and the little girl, approaching until a certain distance. He looked closely at the armor like he had seen it somewhere before, but he didn't know where. He took a kneel a few meters away from the man, greeting him. "Greetings, It is a nice day in fact. I don't mean to be rude, but might you be a paladin of some sort? I feel I've seen that armor somewhere before, oh and how rude of me, My name is Rene, well at least the one I gave myself, might you have a name, honorable knight?" He looked closely to see the young man wasn't much older than him. 'Is that how strong I would be if I hadn't slacked so much?' he thought to himself.
  144. (Rene)
  145. Well. This was a shit show.
  146.
  147. Watching as Kyrian and Rene threw words at each other, petty little things that they were, his blue eyes would glow ever so slightly as they came to what would almost appear to be blows. The ookami reminded him of a certain Reckorus. . . Most assuredly, this shouldn't be the case. Or, at least, Cimiron hoped that it weren't the case.
  148.
  149. At least Vali was chipper than ever. She knew how things like this usually ended, and that was with Cimiron's gauntlet across someone's cheek.
  150.
  151. Sighing slightly, he would watch Rene approach him and ask for his name, calling him an honorable knight. Now, he was almost right. In fact, half a year ago, he would have been spot on with that. Cimiron was no knight, not anymore. Nor was he really a Paladin. . . Somewhere in the middle, really. Almost finished on his path to becoming a Paladin, the boy was filled with determination and nothing but.
  152.
  153. Raising the shield for a moment, he would plunge the tip back into the ground with tremendous force. The very earth would begin to shake, the steely look of emotionless splendor gracing the face of the young Paragon. The shaking would cease, and he would look between Rene and the Ookami.
  154.
  155. "There will be no violence."
  156.
  157. For a moment, his words rung stark and true, enhanced by his light magic for just a moment before he allowed his voice to drop to it's normal tone. . .
  158.
  159. But, despite his words, it was plainly a threat to keep the peace.
  160.
  161. "I am. . . Shinecrest. Paragon of the Church of Kraus, Claw in the Company of Wolves, and Huntsman." Lowering his head to Rene, he'd smile slightly. "It's a pleasure to make your aquantaince." Keeping a careful gaze upon the Ookami, he had a feeling that the peace would not be kept, and his blade would have to rise. . . Against an Ookami with no leg? Shame, but, those who wished to break peace could not be spared justice.
  162.
  163. Oh, Cimiron didn't really notice the girl in the shrubs either. He was too busy trying to keep hooligans from fighting.
  164. (Cimiron Ganlo)
  165. Was this an agrument? Did people here have the angries? She remembered a lot of angries in her time. When the people around had been yelling and crying because of war, when people like her father had just up and disappeared away one day only to be sent back as ash the next day. The feeling around had been something, but did it really register in her mind? Ah-ah, not necessarily! With her chin tucking a bit against the top of the hare's head, she would let her amethyst themed gaze give a few blinks along the way. She didn't really know much about what people talked about.
  166.
  167. Even when they talked, she couldn't register it properly in her head-- there was a disconnect. Perhaps it was due to age, or perhaps it might've been something else, but... It was hard to tell with a child so small. Puffing her chubby little cheeks outwards, she felt the wriggling there in her arms before suddenly the small hare would use her chest as a rebound, springing forward and she offered an audible little gasp to bubble from her lips as she scrambled forward, knees dragging along the ground...
  168.
  169. Crumbling, the ledge seemed to scatter as she grabbed a hold of the creature once more in her arms, but the damage had been done-- a yelp to echo from her lips as she found herself sliding down the ledge's face... And plop! She dropped right down onto her backside there next to Cimiron, a distressed look managing to gross over the white haired child's features.
  170.
  171. "K-kyaaa... Is make hurt... much... uwah, no run bunbun..." She stammered out as she squeezed one of her eyes shut there, looking at the face of the creature. "Is okay."
  172.
  173. The hare's nose gave a twitch as it stared the girl down.
  174.
  175. "Yeah, is okay." Leaning forward, she plopped a kiss against the rabbit's nose, little giggles leaving all the way from her mouth before she wrapped her arms around the creature, tucking it quite close to her soft form as she allowed her wide purple eyes to stare all those around.
  176.
  177. "Is fight? No hurt. No fun if hurts."
  178.
  179. The child used the rabbit to 'speak' for her, hiding behind the fluffy form of the creature now.
  180.
  181. Where Cimiron seemed to be quite serious, it seemed that Calliope was very, very capable at detracting from the serious nature of a scene. Oops.
  182. (Calliope)
  183. It wouldn't be long for Kyrian to feel as if he was backed into a corner in this group. It had seem that his prey would get away and butter up to the man cladded in armor. Vali also seemed to know the guy and became much happier at the sight of such a figure.
  184.
  185. Only if he had a few more seconds. He surely would've had Rene by the throat and watching him struggle to breathe. The human had the decency to talk back to him in such a way. It drove him mad that such a person would speak to him that way, perhaps it was because he was one-legged that everyone doubted him. But watching him go from him and run to his saver was pathetic. Right then and there he saw Rene as a comtempt. He ran away from a battle the first chance that he got and sweet talk his way in such a position.
  186.
  187. Only that this wouldn't mean anything to him as he would soon reach for his belt to grip a crude dagger with his free hand. Raising it up and he was prepared to throw it and strike true for such a worthless being. Each time he finds another human. They amaze him day by day.
  188.
  189. It wouldn't be long for Kyrian to cock by his arm and begin to throw it. Aiming for Rene's head. The boy was naive enough to turn his back on such a situation. Espcially when he threatend him by drawing forth his aura!
  190.
  191. Only that he would once again be halted. The earth shook before the newcomer. Causing him to lose his balance and drop his dagger and grab at his cane with both hands to keep him stable. Such a thing he had encountered before and it wouldn't had fazed him. But Kyrian was enraged that Rene had done such a thing to him. Even to go as far as to turn his back on him. His anger grew.
  192.
  193. There will be no violence. The words rang out.
  194.
  195. The statement that the newcomer had said had cleared his thoughts of killing Rene and made Kyrian more focused on him. No normal being had such power like he did. He felt it vibrate off of his being. Causing Kyrian to tread the situation with caution. Since when he gazed at the man. It would seem that his eyes were sharp and direct. As if it was daring him to make a move against the others so he would have a reason to fight him.
  196.
  197. Then a girl and a rabbit would come beside the fellow.
  198.
  199. Kyrian would go quiet and just watch the situation for now. But it doesn't mean that Rene will be leaving the scene unscathed
  200. (Kyrian Hayes)
  201. After leaving Baltazar he was sure that he was fine but now he entered another transition where their wasa group of people.
  202.
  203. The young man sat on stop of the cliffed area and just watched as teh people talked and his feet were swinging much.
  204.
  205. He took a sigh seeing the conversation wasn't over anything serious whether he was noticed or not he didn't care he just watched because he could gain more information by looking at someone and seeing thewaythey talk than talking to people themselves.
  206.
  207.
  208. (Sinra)
  209. This whole thing seems to be a mess. . .
  210.
  211. She thought to herself as everything played out as one would presume. The boy and the male Ookami ceased their words for a bit as Cimiron steps up to the plate, ready to spout the word of Kraus as if it were going out of style. The male Ookami being one of rudeness seemed to not be done with the boy but was soon thrown off kilter by Cimiron, paragon till death. The boy seemed to be happy about not fighting which. . .sounded a bit cowardly but given that they were in a forest where anything could happen, good call.
  212.
  213. Then finally there is th-- oh shit. . .
  214.
  215. Golden eyes would wander as a small force of cute tumbled right by Cimiron. . .that small force of fucking adorable then held a bunny and used it to speak, in the most adorable way possible. Words begging for the violence to not commence. . .
  216.
  217. "S-she hid. . .behind a bunny. . ." The woman would mumble under her breathe as she tilted her head downward and allowed her bangs to hide her eyes "That is. . .so. . ."
  218.
  219. Uh oh. . .
  220.
  221. She then began walking over to the girl, head still down, eyes still hidden from the rest of the world.
  222.
  223. ". . .so. . ."
  224.
  225. Her voice grew a bit louder as she was finally a few paces away from the small child. . .my advice. . .run!
  226.
  227. She finally raised her head with tears in her eyes, a smile on her face as wide as the ocean, not really, but it was pretty wide and goofy.
  228.
  229. "Adorable!!!!!!!" And there she was, shouting at the top of her lungs at how cute the child was, clapping her hands together like a prayer was being made. Her obsession was kicking into high gear and not failing to disappoint me. . .goddamnit Vali. She succeeded in ignoring everything else around her except for the child with the bunny, Cimiron would get ignored, the boy and the male Ookami would get ignored, that small boy on the cliff who more than likely was going to be ignored anyway. . .got ignored. Yeah. . .it's one of those days.
  230. (Vali Baal)
  231. As the knight introduced himself, Rene bowed his head once more and got up from kneeling, "Same to you mister Shrinecrest, sound like a quite honorable name." Just then, abruptly the small child fell from the cliff, seeming okay, then being adorable as possible. Rene looked over to the Ookami woman after the child was done speaking adorably, about to ask "Are you okay?" because the woman looked like she just took a punch to the gut, but he did not see anything else happen.
  232.
  233. His question was answered, however as the woman began walking toward the child. 'Ohhh, I get it, she just took a cute punch right to the feels.' Rene thought to himself as he chuckled and the woman seemed over ecstatic. 'May the gods help you, young child' he silently lipped as he took a quick look back at the Ookami male, checking the surroundings, and seeing a dagger on the ground that hadn't been there before. Rene frowned upon the man, no the friggin hungry wolf as he saw this dagger.
  234.
  235. Rene moved his head from side to side, cracking his neck as he let out an "Ahh" seeming of relief. "I've been trying to get that crick out of my neck all day" he said as he knew his words fell deaf to Vali, the Ookami woman. He turned to the knight in white armor as he smiled brightly, staring back at the male Ookami for a brief moment. "It seems this pointless quarrel of ill-manneredness has ended, However, I have but a simple question to ask."
  236.
  237. "Was that dagger for me when I wasn't looking, Ookami man? He asked a bit annoyedly, and Rene thought he was a coward for not wanting to shed pointless blood anymore, but this man was willing to attack on his back. "Because If that dagger was for me, I would say that is more "Cowardly" than me not wanting to fight you, but teach you proper manners that i've learned in my lifetime and perhaps become aquaintences. I'm just saying, I was pretty senseless to just let my aura leak out like that when I told you not to mistake my kindness for you to take that as a threat, but you gotta look at it, must you feel the need to be so rude to people, insulting them before you even get to know them and trying to get someone to beat them up? We could have been relatively good friends, I even know how to make a wooden leg for you, so how abouts i do that and we can call it a truce?"
  238.
  239. Rene looked over to the Ookami with sheer sorrow in his eyes, looking to be regretting the situation that had just ensued.
  240. (Rene)
  241. That Ookami. . . Was dangerous.
  242.
  243. So many different feral Ookami around the place now. It was really starting to make Cimiron a little bit more than ticked that so many were adhering to the chaotic of the spirits. Shame, it was. Blinking in surprise, he'd soon see there was a girl right next to him, small. Couldn't be older than five or six. . . Still had baby fat on her. Tutting slightly, he would shake his head.
  244.
  245. A young girl, the Ookami Mother, a volatile Ookami, and an instigative boy that was about a year younger than him. Hoooo boy. First thing's first. . .
  246.
  247. "Now then, where did you come from, hmm? Do you live in Danarium? Frostvale?" Cimiron would ask the girl, warmth in his voice. A slight light aura would appear around him, a hand dropping down. He would lift the girl up and place her upon his shoulders, a nice safe place. She could even lean up against the hilt of his sword a bit. The light would wrap around her a little bit, making her feel warm and safe. Just a little boon to him being a barrier light magii.
  248.
  249. Looking between the two boys in front of him, Cimiron would tut his teeth. "That won't work, Rene. He'll see it as a sign of pity, not of friendship. Ookami are proud. If he wanted a wooden leg, he would have gone into town and started looking for one." Shaking his head a little bit, a hand would raise to grab the girl's leg gingerly, to make sure she didn't fall. Chances are, the rabbit was right on top of the emotionless looking man's head.
  250.
  251. Probably quite a site for Sinra.
  252.
  253. "Best to just leave him to his devices before he tries to rip your throat out."
  254. (Cimiron Ganlo)
  255. Oh no. There was someone that was fawning over little Calliope, and it wasn't something that she necessarily found herself capable of understanding. People had gone and yelled...! They were loud. Oh so loud, so it confused her poor mind and she'd stare up in a bit of dismay in the direction of Vali. "This one sorry!" She called out as she hid a bit behind the fur of the rabbit there, but as she found herself swooped upwards, she gave a gasping sound as she found the little rabbit to scurry up along her arm... and then it would nestle into the warmth of the hood that now hung around her shoulders, now cradling itself in that position there. It did not seem to want to leave, thankfully enough...
  256.
  257. So, it left her arms soon free to reach out and wrap around Cimiron's forehead, clinging to the man as if she was scared of falling. No one had gone and done something like this to her before, so...!
  258.
  259. Purple eyes blinked a few times, though, as she soon realized that she wasn't actually in trouble and she'd give a shaky little breath that expressed her relief. Letting her head hang down, she craned her neck as if to meet the eyes of the one who swiped her up, and she now responded:
  260.
  261. "Is from Frostyvales."
  262.
  263. Perhaps her fluffy winter getup had been a good indicator of such, and she peered over at Vali with very wide eyes as she moved out of the way of Cimiron's face.
  264.
  265. "No yell. Is 'kay. This one no yell, hurts. Ears." Tilting her head, she now showed the pale ears beneath of her fluffy hair, a bit of a pointed tip to them-- odd. "Ears uhm.. This one can hear. Uh huh." Now, a nervous little smile! She liked the warmth of the light.
  266.
  267. It felt good to be here, honestly. Safety, protection... Hm.
  268. (Calliope)
  269. Kyrian advanced his steps towards Rene.
  270.
  271. "Cowardly? I said nothing of you not wanting to fight me unless your a mind reader. "
  272.
  273. He would then soon be before Rene Staring at him. Eye to eye.
  274.
  275. Kyrian would let Rene have his words of say as he did not have 'manner's or was capabble of having proper manners. But that wasn't the end of it as he started to apologize for his actions and then tell him on how he should meet people. Then he went about talking how they could be good friends and he might be able to make a wooden leg for him as a truce?
  276.
  277. Kyrian laughed hysterically as hate burned deeply in his eyes.
  278.
  279. "You first say I'm more cowardly. Mock me of who I am. Then tell me what you can do for me to make me better? Then on top of all that you apologize and want a truce? . . . ."
  280.
  281. Kyrian lunged out with his right and grasped Rene by the neck. Lifting him as he had done so. Pressing his thumb into his windpipe. Threatening to crush it as he maintained his iron grip on it.
  282.
  283. He would soon bring Rene close so Kyrian could speak in his ear, but he didn't whisper. No.
  284.
  285. "First off. That kind of attitude rewarded me with this missing limb of mine. In the terms of being polite. I barely knew how to speak and spent 5 years of my life learning your language. I'm sure that I can even write better than you." he came to a pause to lessen up on his grip so that Rene could have some air. But he remained his grip on it. Making it rather trouble-some to breath.
  286.
  287. "As for the leg. Forget it. I'd prefer taking your life for how much of a worthless being that I see you as, and lastly. I like who I am. I don't want to be changed." and with that. Kyrian threw Rene hard to the ground. Causing him the tumble backwards on the ground.
  288.
  289. "Shining knight over there warned you. . . You came back and started this. . . I finished it. .. unless you want more that is. . . " he would say as he waited for Rene to stand back and charge him. All he needed was an excuse and the boys pathetic life would be over
  290. (Kyrian Hayes)
  291. Sinra continued to just sit there and as he layed down he started to dangle his feet on the edge and just listen what they had to say really well not listen he wasn't listening at all he just heard them.
  292.
  293. For now though no Kaors were present and nothing was else in the forest that actually could cause damage that was the real reason Sinra was out here. To stop altercations and look after some people. They might have found it weird that he just watched but in reality he meant well and in most cases if something was happening he would be able to diffuse it.
  294.
  295. " Okay so what should I eat today, well I already know what that question is."
  296.
  297. Sinra thought wiggling his feet a bit more.
  298.
  299. The ookami and the other guy down their seemed to be getting in an argument but for once he wasn't interested in seeing a fight.
  300. (Sinra)
  301. The world around the wolf mother seemed to be but a blur as her teary eyes stared at the small child, her form simply emitting a comedic rainbow-ish glow that could obviously not be seen by others. . .unless they were to be acting just as goofy with her. But the child seemed to have been startled by her sudden outburst, and even worse hid her face from Vali and said that she was. . .sorry.
  302.
  303. Crash!
  304.
  305. Her heart felt shattered as the child said sorry, the color being lost as her face gave off the expression of being hurt, her mouth and eyes being opened while she uttered gibberish.
  306.
  307. "Uh. . .gah. . .sa. . .?"
  308.
  309. The small and adorable child managed to do something that not even a Yokai could do: Cause her to feel distressed. As Cimiron scooped the girl up with her rabbit and placed her in a safe spot away from all the madness, Vali would only look at the girl with the same hurt expression. That was until she was suddenly told by the child that she was being too loud. She quickly covered her mouth while unleashing a sharp gasp.
  310.
  311. D-did I hurt her poor little ears!?
  312.
  313. Tears began to well up once more as she began to verbally punish herself in her mind.
  314.
  315. I am simply the worst, the absolute worst! I should die-- no, death is too good for the likes of me. I should just run away now, find a horde of Yokai and toss myself into them, let them bite and claw their way into my wretched black heart. . .I am the worst. . .
  316.
  317. While she continues to bring shame to me, behind her a scene unfolded that may call for her attention soon. The one-legged man decided to wringe the poor boy's neck and give him a firm talking to. Oddly, the sounds of the scene did not go unnoticed by her ears and yet she refused to turn around to watch. Her visual focus was on the small child that was clinging onto Cimiron after all. . .
  318.
  319. Still, the male Ookami didn't kill the boy or tried to, f he does then. . .well, good bye potential recruit, hello new prisoner for the Church of Kraus. . .and perhaps a potential execution.
  320. (Vali Baal)
  321. Rene slanted his mouth a little as the Knight told him to leave the Ookami man to his own devices, although he looked the man into the eyes. As the man replied, he seemed challenged by the mere fact of Rene looking him in the eyes, which would have been normally pretty funny for Rene if the situation wasn't as serious as it was.
  322.
  323. "Cowardly? I said nothing of you not wanting to fight me unless your a mind reader. " Rene heard the man say, but this particular set of words rang through his head as a reminder now. As the man stated his concept of Rene's words, which seemed slightly twisted when Rene heard the apparent "Summary" of his words that didn't seem to come back quite right in his description, but suddenly, he was grabbed by the neck.
  324.
  325. The Ookami man growled many words into his ear, most of them sounding hateful. Rene wanted to respond, being the persistent bastard he was, but he could not even breath at first, let alone talk. As the Ookami tossed him to the ground, he chuckled as he let out some saliva buildup from being choked. He then looked up at the Ookami man with a fire in his eyes, without even saying it, it looked like his eyes were saying "Was that all you had?"
  326.
  327. Rene was slowly getting up as he was on his hands and knees, his face towards the ground. He began slowly standing up as he spoke, having a smile, still pointed toward the ground.
  328.
  329. "Hmm, You never called me a coward unless I'm a mind reader huh? So you do think I'm a coward... Yeah... Me too... That's what I was talking about... I think of the word coward when I think of myself a lot... but to be honest... I used to be somewhat like you... I was one of those people... That preyed on people even weaker than as weak as I am... Pretty pathetic, huh? That's right... I know for a fact you're probably stronger than me... You have scars all over your body and have a missing leg... You clearly have more combat experience then me... Just six years ago... I was a helpless weak, normal human child, or so I thought... Bandits killed my brother, so I lived out here in the wood for three years training and preying on people weaker than me... I did get multiple times stronger than i was... but i found that bandit who killed my brother... Killed him in one blow... So much for three whole years of training when i could've probably taken him out after a few months. As I wandered for a while after that, not knowing what to do with myself... I realized what a crappy state this world is in, and I met a guy named Magnus after I got kidnapped, brought to the yokai citadel, and nearly died escaping. I eventually got back to danarium and met the guy anyway, and i ask him for a spar... I'll tell you right now... He kicked my ass... But I also found out something that day... Defeat makes you stronger, and sometimes changes who you are... But enough with my stupid sob stories, I get it now. A harsh defeat has made you who you are today, and you want to stay that way... I respect that Ookami man."
  330.
  331. Rene was now standing all the way back up, smiling and looking at the man eye to eye again. "So I will try no longer to force my manners upon you, and i actually have a newfound respect for you. Your resolve to stay who you are seems quite unrivaled, I even met the man who kidnapped me to the citadel, a depraved mage, and he even softened up a bit for me. " He then backed up a few steps, rejoining the group who was adoring the child. He poked at the Ookami woman and was expecting her to be quite pissed, but he didn't really care now. "Hey, i gotta ask you something, Who is Saekani's some wierd Ookami dude missing an eye, an ear and an arm told me to study him, but i couldn't find anything on him... or her anywhere nearby... So can you tell me a little something?"
  332. (Rene)
  333. Really? They were going to make him keep the peace while he had a small child on his head? Sighing slightly, he would look up to her for a moment, then to Vali. It would appear like Vali had taken a liking to the young child, but Cimiron was the one the girl had taken a liking to. Wait, was. . . Was Vali crying? Was she pregnant herself or something? She seemed awfully moody lately. Sighing a little bit, he'd shake his head.
  334.
  335. The girl currently grasping his forehead worried him. Obviously she was a magii, or she was really, really lucky to have gotten this far south of Frostvale. That, or her parents were nearby. . . More than likely extraordinarily worried. Unless she was one of-. . . No, definitely not adopted by Vali. That w was determinate on the way both she and the child acted.
  336.
  337. Grasping at the helm he had pinned to his belt, he would give it to the little girl, placing it on her head, it was grossly oversized, but it would probably be a good amount of protection for her. "Hold onto this for me, please." The Paragon would take a few steps forward. Looking between them, his hand reached up and grabbed the hilt on his blade to draw it, clasps unbuckling as he did so.
  338.
  339. "I said. . . There would be no combat." There was no malice in his voice. There was not much volume either, simply command. He did not raise his speech to garish tones, he simply propelled it farther.
  340.
  341. Not really caring what either of them were doing, the drawn sword would make a deadly arch in the air. Cleaving into the earth, it would begin to shake once more and the earth itself would open up. A cavernous trench would form between the two children. . . Wait, that's right. One was eighteen, the other was sixteen. This would also partially split the group off from Kyrian, since Rene decided to almost rejoin Vali, Calliope, and himself.
  342.
  343. Hard to remember that they were adults when they were acting so petty.
  344.
  345. Now, there was a huge gash in the earth between the two would be combatants. "I'll say this once. Both of you leave. That is your one warning. If this continues, then you will force my hand." Looking between them, he fully expected them to leave. If they didn't, the child would have to go to Vali and he'd have a beating to commence.
  346. (Cimiron Ganlo)
  347. No combat...? Well, that was for the best. Though, she felt awful...! Decidedly so, mind you. She shouldn't have gone and made anyone feel awful, and that was not anything that was her aim. So, a deep frown would now cross along her features as she stared over at Vali for a moment before she soon found a helmet placed down atop of her head. It was definitely oversized for her little noggin'!
  348.
  349. ...And the only reason she had actually made it from Frostvale to here? It was due to the fact that she was fast. Like, a little bit too fast for someone that was her age and size. Though, they weren't going to get into details nor arguments over something like this in the slightest.
  350.
  351. "Is go bye!" The girl called out as she planted her chin atop of Cimiron's head, watching the situation rather quite intently. Could anyone blame her? No, not necessarily! But intrigue was one hell of a thing, and she wouldn't be denied the situation that she saw here.
  352.
  353. Not that she could've been. She was nice and plopped there on the shoulders of one of the big kids here, so that was nice.
  354.
  355. "Ubububuuu... fights no fun, not play... No no no..." Her finger jutted out and wagged in the direction of the others present.
  356.
  357. A lecture from a child. Who would've thought, huh?
  358. (Calliope)
  359. Vali's attention was temporarly broken off from the adorable child as she was poked by the kid who clearly had a lot to say, Rene. Much to her dismay he wished for her to tell him about Saekanis. . .a topic of which she wished not to discuss at all but. . .it was more than likely needed.
  360.
  361. Did someone say my name?
  362.
  363. Suddenly a rough and grizzled voice bellowed within Vali's mind. A voice that made her break the hurt feeling her expression gave off and switched it with one of an eye twitching annoyance. Saekanis had came rolling around, without Asena as well it seemed.
  364.
  365. My my. . .what is this scene before my very eyes. Another Ookami, girl, that one looks like he's been through the ringer and yet he harbors so much of my persuasion. . .I loooove it!
  366.
  367. The wolf mother ignored the black wolf spirit as she turned her attention to the boy, the annoyed look still on her face as she began to speak "Saekanis is a deity that is worshipped by most if not all Ookami. Those that follow him tend to. . .do and act certain ways." She shook her head as the image of Veren and that little flat chested monster popped into her head. The mention of Fergus's assaulter did not go unnoticed as well and yet it shant be mentioned, was not important to her after all, no one died that day.
  368.
  369. She then continued "Those who follow Saekanis have a certain air about them that usually does not feel. . .right. . .almost like depravity." She casually nodded as she turned her attention back to the child, a smile crossing her face yet again. Still ignoring Cimiron's words as she clearly had words to stop the violence herself.
  370.
  371. "Such a cute little girl. . ." She said as she gave a happy sigh.
  372. (Vali Baal)
  373. Kyrian had now ignored the rest of the group and was more concerned on killing Rene. He watched the young boy lay on the ground defenseless. This had further bothered him as he continue to stare back at Rene, and all his eyes had said was. "Was that all you had."
  374.
  375. Which made Kyrian tilt his head in confusion. Did this boy surely have a death wish? If so, he surely was showing it. It wouldn't take for mere seconds for the boy to get back up and explain his life. In which Kyrian had not a single care for. But when he told Kyrian that the harsh defeat has made him the man he was today. Then called him an Ookami man?
  376.
  377. He found that offensive in multiple ways.
  378.
  379. "That defeat was me saving one of my Kin from those creatures that are half human and half yokai, and not one day goes by that I regret my decision. . . . and you dare call me an Ookami man? Why not call me just a dog while your at it. I don't care if you have respect for me or not."
  380.
  381. " I said... There would be no combat."
  382.
  383. It wouldn't be long before the ground before them shook once more. But this time Kyrian was unfazed by the sudden movement because he was balanced.
  384.
  385. The ground would soon open up to draw a line between him and the others. Which furthered the point that he was on the losing side. This enraged Kyrian as he shot a glare at the man as the two now watched each other
  386.
  387. "I'll say this once. Both of you leave. That is your one warning. If this continues, then you will force my hand.
  388.
  389. This made Kyrian annoyed. Why must another fight ones battles? If Rene was asking for it. He would surely get it. It wasn't even that Kyrian feared the knight in shining armor. It was the fact that the numbers clearly stood against him. It was something that he learned hard when he was younger, and he wasn't about to get into a fight with more than one person. That was his only problem.
  390. With a growl, Kyrian roared. "Cut out all that earth breaking shit!"
  391.
  392. And with a raise of his cane. He shoved it far into the ground and caused a crater around him as he stood in the center. Shaking the very earth each of them stood on as it shook the surface.
  393.
  394. "You want me gone. So be it. " he said with an edge in his voice. He would then look towards Rene. "But let me tell you this. The next time I catch you out in the open. Will be your last. . . . "
  395.
  396. Kyrian would then make a move to leave the scenery. If he wasn't stopped. He would be gone
  397. (Kyrian Hayes)
