- Darkness, an overwhelming wave of corrupted power.
- It felt impossible to stand against.
- As the power of Excalibur Morgan washes over her and her shield, she felt her body give in little by little against the wave of power.
- Her eyelids felt heavy and bit by bit edges of darkness started crawling up her vision.
- She was going to lose.
- And when she fell, her Master and The Director were going to be killed.
- And it would all be her fault.
- 'I'm sorry Director, I'm sorry Master, it seems that I'm just not strong enough to protect you.'
- "I just... Can't... Win... Against this at all..."
- "Don't say that Mash! You can't give up just yet! Come on, we can do this together!"
- Just before her vision fades, a hand grabs hers and everything begins to glow.
- A command seal was being used to restore her strength.
- With this, she could still fight!
- Energy courses through her very being and her fatigue is fades as she shakily rises to her feet, her gaze meeting her Master's determined face.
- "We can do this. Mash, are you ready?"
- At those words, she feels hope and determination bloom in her chest.
- She could do this, she could win!
- "Yes Senpai! I'm ready!"
- She felt her hope and determination surge through her, it was taking shape and taking form.
- Taking a form to protect her Master.
- Taking form to protect her friends!
- She won't lose!
- Deploying Noble Phantasm!
- [Lord Chaldeas!]
- The power surges and fully takes form.
- A wall materializes and begins to push back the wave of darkness bit by bit until finally.
- The attack breaks.
- ...
- Mash Kyrielight stumbles on her feet but stays strong.
- She grits her teeth and glares at the enemy servant, who is once more preparing to attack them with another wave of darkness.
- The battle is not over yet.
- Not by a long shot
- She still has to win.
- She still has to protect her friends.

- 2.
- She stands before the Lion King, who sits proudly upon her steed, a shining Rhonogmyniad in her hands.
- Suddenly she is reminded of a situation similar to this.
- Standing against King Arthur who is about to deploy their Noble Phantasm, her Master and friends right behind her.
- But this time she won't hesitate.
- She will show everyone how far she's come!
- She won't Lose!
- She will Protect Her Master, with all her might!
- As the Lion King launches her attack, she feels the words come to her lips.
- {The place that cures all wounds
- and dissolves all hatred,
- our home!
- Manifest now!}
- Lord Camelot! [Castle of Distant Utopia]
- She lifts her shield and slams it into the ground and a pure white castle manifests around her.
- And the power of Rhongomyniad crashes over it.
- ...
- It hurts.
- It hurts so much that she screams.
- but
- She won't lose!
- More power!
- More strength!
- She won't let anyone hurt her Master!
- Not if she had anything to say about it!
- "RAAAAAGH!"
- ...
- And just like that the attack is over and she falls to her knees exhausted, but triumphant.
- As her Master runs over to shake her shoulders, asking about her condition, she flashes a victorious grin at the Lion King who merely nods serenely.
- The battle wasn't over yet.
- But she knew, she'd already won.

- As Mash Kyrielight stood against Solomon, in reality Ars Goetia, she felt sweat trickle down her back.
- This was bad,
- this was very, very bad.
- Their enemy seemed like an entire magnitude stronger than they expected, and now they were backed into a corner.
- "BURN DOWN LIKE GARBAGE AND DISSEAPEAR!"
- Worse yet, it seemed like the enemy was preparing to strike them with his most devastating attack.
- [He who had Mastered all Birth] ARS ALMADEL SALOMNIS!
- At the face of this attack, there was only one thing she could do.
- She had to take the blow head on to protect her Master.
- This time, it would definitely cost her life,
- But it's worth it.
- Because her mission is to protect her Master.
- And it is Her will to Protect her Friends!
- The words comes once more to her lips.
- The Castle once more materializes.
- And the wave of Power crashes through the castle.
- ...
- She could feel herself burning, the power of Goetia eating away at her body was more agonizing than anything she had every felt.
- And yet,
- She persevered.
- Even as her body burned,
- Even as her knees buckled and her hands shook,
- she did not falter.
- She did not fail.
- And as she died, she persevered.
- And as she died, she smiled at her Master.
- And as she died, she saved the world.
- "Goodbye, Senpai."
- And thus the story Mash Kyrielight, the Demi-Sevant came to an end.

- 4.
- Ritsuka Fujimaru had defeated Goetia.
- Ritsuka Fujimaru had saved the world.
- And yet, they felt like they had lost everything instead.
- As they ran from the crumbling temple, tears stung their eyes as thoughts of the casualties the final battle had wrought filled their mind.
- "Mash... Romani..."
- This was enough to give them pause.
- This was enough to be a grave mistake.
- ...
- The ground crumbled beneath their feet and they slipped off the path.
- As Ritsuka Fujimaru fell, everything began to swim in slow motion.
- Their breath hitched, their feet slipped, their hands flailed in the air,
- And their life flashed before their eyes.
- Every event, every trial and every adventure.
- It all flashed before their eyes.
- The people they've met.
- The places they've been.
- And all the adventures they've had.
- It all flashed before their eyes.
- And as they fell, their face softens into a contented smile.
- "It was a good run, I really enjoyed it."
- "Mash... Romani... It seems that I'm coming over sooner than I expected. Please, wait for me ok...?"
- ...
- "SENPAI!"
- Suddenly a familiar hand grabs theirs, stopping their fall and causing their eyes to snap wide open as they looked at their saviour.
- With light purple hair framing a cute face with violet eyes, their saviour smiles gently as she pulls them up to safety.
- "Senpai are you ok? Are you hurt anywhere?"
- It was Mash Kyrielight, somehow back from the dead.
- "..Senpai?"
- Ritsuka Fujimaru's is in shock, they stare at their revived Kohai for what feels like an eternity before the realization hits.
- Their breath hitches once, twice and their tears start flowing.
- They cry and embrace Mash Kyrielight who startles at the touch and blushes crimson like a tomato.
- She flusters and tries to pry herself free from the embrace.
- "Senpai?! Wh-what? This is all to sudden! A-and this isn't the place for it! We have to leave!...Senpai?... SENPAI!"
- But it's all for naught as Ritsuka Fujimaru tightens their embrace.
- "SENPAI!"
- -----------------------------------------------------------
- and the one time she watched them die
- -----------------------------------------------------------
- They were dead.
- They. were. dead.
- And she just watched it all happen safely in Chaldea.
- At the sight of her Master, laying face down on the floor motionless,
- Mash Kyrielight fell to her knees and started to scream.
- "SENPAI! SENPAI! PLEASE SENPAI GET UP! GET UP PLEASE!"
- It was useless, they were already dead, there was nothing she could do about it.
- Empty eyes stared at the monitor before her as she watched her Master lay dead on the floor.
- Body ravaged and mind torn asunder.
- And it was Her Fault.
- She was still weak.
- She was still useless.
- Without the heroic spirit Galahad, she was only Mash Kyrielight.
- And a Normal human being.
- No matter how hard she cried.
- No matter how hard she screamed,
- There was nothing she could do.
- Her Master was dead.
- And it was all her fault
- she was usele-

- "- those who have friends in the Seraphix site are allowed to use the videophone to communicate for the duration of half a day. Please be advised that the next available time will be in three months, so please make this count."
- As Mash finishes her announcement, she lays back on her chair with a sigh.
- It seems like she had so much work to do.
- She somewhat pities Doctor Romani now.
- ...
- Somewhat.
- But that work can wait until later right now she had more important things to do,
- "I'd better find Senpai, knowing them they'll be interested in the rig. I'll have to explain as much as I can to them."
- As she hurriedly races to look for her Master, she feels a sense of elation.
- Perhaps her Senpai will praise her more this time?
- She had to find them quickly.
