  1. Verlux vs Corvette
  2.
  3. Well the big thing in this ultimately ended up being the OoT arguments. Without them Verlux more or less capitulated that his characters would lose.
  4.
  5. So basically if Corv’s characters are found to be not out of tier or its just one character I honestly think he wins. Broly or Hulk could probably solo Verlux’s team from what I got from Verlux’s argument.
  6.
  7. Broly’s OoT Argument
  8. • Broly can destroy multiple mountains with energy attacks
  9. • Broly can dish out punches comparable to the tier setter in base form and no sell attacks that previously blasted him through a mountain
  10. • His general energy projection is far to much for Superman to handle and coutners grappling
  11. • Broly can fly so fast that Superman would be incapable of getting away or reliably avoiding energy attack spam
  12. • Broly is mostly resistant to heat vision
  13. Corv’s counter arguments
  14. • They were never argued as mountains but as giant solid ice structures
  15. • Broly wasn’t shown as being able to completely no sell heat vision
  16. • Broly’s standard and most viable mindset doesn’t involve spamming ki blasts
  17. • Superman is more durable than Verlux is giving credit for and can beat Broly after a prolonged engagement
  18.
  19. So being open about my bias, I’m solidly in the camp that those are mountains and that Broly’s energy projection is out of tier. I brought it up before in the main thread (but I replied to the wrong person at first which is why Corv didn’t respond until the last second), and I believe it now. The clearest evidence is actually when Broly nukes the area and you can actively see [mountains and triggered volcanoes in the landscape](https://gfycat.com/evergreenconfusedgiraffe)
  20.
  21. However Corv himself has never argued this. You can read through the previous rounds and see that he never presents them as anything other than just ice. Now that still makes it ridiculously good but ice is in the end weaker than stone. Verlux has never presented a solid argument as to why we should view them as a solid mountain rather than just ice, relying on visuals for the most part. Which is usually fine but in a debate its more about what you can prove or present rather than “Look at this dude”.
  22.
  23. Overall I think even with ice debris Broly’s energy projection is out of tier. However I also think Natsu’s max level fire blast is out of tier but I kept him in because I don’t believe that’s a win condition in of itself due to his much worse physicals and Superman’s ability to just dodge. Personally though I don’t see it here as much. Broly’s energy projection is much faster than Natsu’s maximum output and the largest one will cover the entire dome in its AoE.
  24.
  25. Bloodlusted is also a topic to talk about. As a note for those not familiar with WWW, our version of bloodlusted is defined as follows: “Bloodlusted: When a character uses the full extent of his/her abilities in a **fight as efficiently as they know how and goes straight for the kill**. Does not mean berserker rage on this site”.
  26.
  27. The bolded part is something people will overlook when talking about a bloodlusted person. This is not an armchair general, person working as perfectly as possible, or they have some Path to Victory thing going on. Its them fighting without their morals in their known most efficient way. Corv has more or less convinced me that even while bloodlusted Broly isn’t going to kite Superman to death, even if he’s likely to use energy projection.
  28.
  29. Heat vision as presented I’m more with Verlux than Corv. Any damage it would do wouldn’t be notable enough to mean much. Though some Doomsday style focused lobotomy stuff could do.
  30.
  31. Finally the grappling argument. Broly gets demolished by Superman in wrestling or grappling, but Verlux’s point about his AoE ki blasts countering that is solid in my view. Corv question what it would do to Superman, when the point wasn’t that it would kill or notably harm him as much as just shatter any grappling attempt. To tack on another subject while flight speed is a thing like Corv said that just gets Broly instantly into melee range more than anything.
  32.
  33. Overall I think if it was just Broly’s physicals or just his energy projection he’d be in tier. Superman not getting hit by the latter can be argued and Superman out bricking Broly is also arguable. But considering both aspects I think its to much. Broly is tough enough to not get pasted like Natsu and has the energy projection to heavily damage Superman.
  34.
  35.
  36.
  37. Hulk’s OoT Argument
  38. • Hulk after being shot in the heart easily replicated in one punch what is Superman’s best listed durability feat
  39. • Hulk’s regen and stamina are so absurdly good that Superman cannot put him down when also accounting for his physicals
  40. • Hulk was stated as hitting 10 times harder than Luffy’s Leo impact which cracked the side of a large hill
  41. • Hulk’s durability as argued due to surface area makes him to tough for Superman to damage
  42. • Hulk is immune to heat vision
  43. • Hulk moves fast enough to get a hit on Superman and will pummel him to death
  44. Corv’s counter arguments
  45. • The 10x thing was solely about the album linked. Which was Luffy punching Doffy through some buildings and into a hill. There was zero indication in the album presented by Verlux that the hell was cracked to the degree he later showed
  46. • The knuckle tap by Fixit is really bad for the tier
  47. • Hulk can be beaten into unconsciousness
  48.
  49. This is one of the harder things to judge since my own personal knowledge on the Hulk makes me bias. For example the linked album that was provided for Hulk being KO’ed was him fighting the Juggernaut. The Juggernaut who was not depowered in any notable way at the time and I shouldn’t have to explain that a 100% Juggernaut is not in tier in any capacity.
  50.
  51. However as mentioned that’s my bias and my knowledge. Not what either argued in their posts. So ignoring that I’ll just focus on their arguments.
  52.
  53. Just being honest I overall just back Corv more than I do Verlux. He said the 10x thing without knowledge about how good the feat really was, Verlux misinterpreted how durable and how much stamina the tier setter had, and how Superman abusing his flight and striking strength against the Hulk is a win condition that can work.
  54. Maybe if Corv stressed the regen to the point where it made it impossible to win, maybe if he stressed the lifting strength argument to the point where Superman is just put into a hold and punch to death like with the Juggernaut scan, or something along those lines I could agree with it. Overall while I believe Hulk is strong for the tier, I don’t think he’s out of tier.
  55.
  56. Corv wins.
