- You were all at Sadie's house as per usual. After having recounted your story the girls were a bit more confused (Save Jane, who simply shrugged her shoulders and went along with it). Even so, it was what happened and you were going to stick by it. Besides, it wasn't the important part anyway. What was important was the information that Jane had possibly found about about Arnold Ryes.
- "I found absolutely nothing!" Jane exclaimed with a broad smile
- "WHAT?!" came the voices of everyone else
- "Yep, nothing, zilch, nada. There wasn't anything incriminating there within his office, the guy even left his computer on and I couldn't find anything in that either."
- "S-so...what do we do now?" Helena asked with a sigh "We can't just barge over to the guy's home right?"
- "Actually, maybe that's what we should do." Sadie mutters rubbing her chin
- "Is the police officer actually suggesting breaking and entering an old man's home?" Saya snorted "I didn't think you'd fall this low."
- "That's not what I meant!" Sadie snapped "Look, maybe if we just confront this guy he'll break down? I mean, his muscle is all gone, hell one of them has an extremely creepy fixation on a 10 year old boy and who I am wondering if we shouldn't put into a mental hospital."
- "Pah, I doubt it'd stop her." Sanja replied downing some liqour. "But we are out of options. I'm not one to take the more thuggish approach, but if we all go to this man's home, perhaps we'll be able to have him admit the truth.
- "Isn't he one of those business types? They never admit the truth." Saya sighed "But yeah, I'm out of ideas as well.
- And so you were all in agreement and now standing outside of Ryes home...the same home that you went to shortly after Jerry's death... You are Red Meteor, and you don't know how this is going to go...

- >Politely Knock
- "Well, here goes nothing." You state knocking on the door lightly. If you hit it any harder then you'd more than likely send the thing flying off of its hinges. It takes a few moments, before a old man with graying hair answers the door, judging by the look of his outfit, he's a butler and nothing more and as he looks at you all in your armor. He understandably is silent for a moment.
- "Er...R-Red Meteor? Wha-er...that is, how may I be of service?"
- "Is Arnold Ryes in?" You ask calmly
- "Er...no, b-but the young mistress is in. Would she suffice?"
- You turn to the others, who all shrug, showing they've got no other ideas.
- "That'd be fine. May we come in?"
- The butler hastily shows you all inside, probably because he knows that no amount of security could actually stop all six of you. You're all led into a living room area that's ridiculously huge to even be called that as you wait for Martha to appear.
- "Y-you again?!" comes the voice of the young woman who looks you all over "Why are you here now? Leave me alone." She says in a pitiful voice
- "Well, she's quite the rude one." Sanja mutters
- "I said leave." She growls trying to sound as intimidating as possible
- >Where is your father, we need to talk to him
- >We have reason to believe your father is related to all the damage around the city
- >Very well, we'll leave you alone.
- >Other/Write-in
- >>Where is your father, we need to talk to him.
- "Where is your father, we need to talk to him." You state, not being bothered by her poor attempts to scare you
- "And why should I tell you that?" Martha replies, still agitated
- "Hang on Red, I'll handle this one." Sanja replies moving behind Martha "Let it be known that I don't enjoy this, but you're forcing our hand, and we need you to be as cooperative as possible. Since you seem intent on not doing that...well...you'll see."
- Placing a hand on her shoulder, Sanja slowly, but surely drags the both of them into the shadows, leaving everyone else dumbfounded.
- "Uh...what did Black Asteroid just do?" Helena asks
- "I think she just took a young girl into the literal shadows of darkness." Jane replied in surprise "Sanja can be pretty scary when she wants to be."
- "Should we uh...just wait then?" Sadie asks
- Her question is answered when Sanja reappears with Martha, the young girl shaking violently
- "Now then, will you tell us where your father has gone?"
- "U-um, F-father was headed to the airport, he left about a half-hour before you arrived. Please don't do that again..." Martha mutters
- "How long would it take for us to get to the airport from here?" You ask
- "Way too long, by the time we get there, he'd be long gone." Saya snarls "Hey, girl, can you get us a ride?"
- "It's Martha! And, um...yes I can."
- "We'd really appreciate it." You say keeping calm
- "I see...but um...one last thing, may I accompany you? I'm...curious as to why you want to talk to my father so much."
- >Sure, having you along could be helpful
- >Sorry but no, this could be dangerous
- >Other/Write-in
- >Sorry but no, this could be dangerous
- "Sorry but no, this could potentially be dangerous." You state
- "D-dangerous!?" Is father in trouble?!"
- "Well...not exactly, look it's hard to explain, just get us a ride already." Saya says with a sigh
- It only takes a few minutes for you all to file into a stretch limo and soon you're racing down the highway to get to the airport.
- "Tch, can't this thing go any faster?" Sanja growled
- "Not if you want to get pulled over for speed violations." Sadie replied casually
- "But we're superheroes, shouldn't we be exceptions to these kinds of rules?"
- "No." You say bluntly "We follow the rules as much as anyone else, we don't break them all willy nilly."
- "I'm pretty sure we've done that several times by this point." Saya chuckles "Still, we should be there soon enough."
- It takes about an entire hour to get there, and you're certain that Arnold is long gone by now. The people all stare at you as you're walking through the airport, and the only way to find out what's going on is simple: Asking an employee. You find a young man working one of the desk who stiffens up upon seeing you.
- "R-Red Meteor, and Blue Comet!? Wait...Orange Sun and Crimson Eclipse too! Oh...and White Moon! Wh-why are you all here?"
- "No time to talk, we're looking for Arnold Ryes, we have reason to believe that he's trying to escape from us."
- "Escape from you? Well uh...he's taking his private jet out, should be ready to fly off in just a few minutes."
- Oh crap.
- "It's leaving from terminal A, so if you hurry over there you can probably catch him. Though, I'm not sure what all you can do about a plane taking off."
- This isn't good...
- >Run after it
- >Head back to the car. We'll drive after it
- >Jane you can fly right? Get going(PoV switch to Jane)
- >Other/Write-in
- >Jane you can fly right? Get going(PoV switch to Jane)
- "You can fly right Orange Sun? Get going!" Red shouts to you "We'll catch up, don't worry about us!"
- You nod and get moving. Going intangible you fly through the crowds of people until you're at terminal A. Sure enough, the plane is beginning to move and you've no choice but to get going at full speed.
- As the plane picks up speed you head into it from the side, landing somewhere in the luggage area. "Huh...maybe I should have gone for the front?" You mutter to yourself as you begin making your way out of the area. The second you do though, you bump into the back of a rather burly looking man, and he doesn't seem all that happy to see you.
- "Oh uh, hi...I'm looking for a Mr.Ryes?"
- The man says nothing as he grips you by the neck and tosses you back inot the luggage area.
- "Oh goddammit, this just can't be easy can it?" You mutter, it looks like you've got no choice but to fight this guy...and you're going hand-to-hand here, even if he's serving the bad guy, he's still human, and most likely just doing his job.
- You get back to your feet. "Well, don't say I didn't warn you!" YOu call out to the man as he walks towards you menacingly.
- >Give me the ol' one-two ringadingding(1d100+10)
- >65+10=75
- You quickly dodge a punch from the guy and getting behind him you deliver a solid hit to his back. You're holding back, so you don't knock him out in one hit like you most likely would normally. Growling the man picks something up, you aren't sure what it is, and tosses it at you.
- Man you're glad you have ghost powers.
- You let the object fly at you...and go through you which understandably earns a look of confusion from the thug
- "The fuck?" He growls
- "Ghost powers idiot." You say smugly "Really comes in handy."
- The man angrily charges at you, once more you dodging his attacks and delivering a powerful punch to his torso. The atttack sends him stumbling back, but his stocky build is allowing him to tank your hits rather well. If you don't finish this up soon, then you run the risk of several more goons showing up.
- You've got to finish this up fast.
- >Roll 1d100+10
- >100+10=110
- It's not even a problem as the man goes in for a kind of bear hug attack, only for you to punch him hard enough to send him flying...and have his body embedded into the plan.
- Yeah he's not moving after that.
- You giggle to yourself and proceed out of the luggage area and into the proper area of plane. Heading down the hall you find yourself in what is clearly a sort of eating area. Given the fancy decorations that litter it, you can't help but sigh and wonder if all the wealthy people of the world do this kind of thing with their planes. That line of thought is broken however when several men enter the room, all of them in black suits just like the last guy.
- "Shit, one of em got on the plane! What abotu Tony, shouldn't he be here?!" One of them yelled
- "Nah, I know that one. That's Orange Sun, gotta be. She's the only one with a suit that shows off her body like that."
- Sometimes you really hate how you got the only girlish armor out of the entire group...
- "She the ghosty one!" The man continues. Be careful guys!"
- This is becoming irritating. How do you want to go about this
- >Fight them(1d100+10)
- >put those ghost powers to work and sneak by them(1d100+10)
- >Other/Write-in
- >64+10=74
- "I don't have time for this..." You mutter to yourself, as you sink beneath the floor. You've gone invisible now, as the men all begin to run around searching for you, you stay in this particular room, waiting for them all to leave. It's kind of funny in a way. They're desperately looking for you and you're right where they last saw you. As you hear the footsteps die out in the distance, you begin to move. Arnold has to be around here somewhere and all you have to do is find him.
- Keeping out of sight (Which is very easy to do) you work your way through the plane's interior until you're at what appears to be a sort of office. And sitting there in a lone chair with a cup of coffee on his desk sits Arnold Ryes, he's not aware of you yet, not as if he could be anyway.
- He lets out a long sigh, looking at him more closely, it seems like he's had very little sleep if any at all, and his face looks absolutely gaunt. What the hell has he been up to?
- >Reveal yourself
- >Stay concealed a bit more, see what he does
- >Other/Write-in
- >Stay concealed a bit more, see what he does
- You decide to sit and watch the man, he's got to be up to something for sure. Whatever evil plot he's got going, you're going to stop him! You just wanna find out what it is first. Instead, you see him pull out a tape recorder. It's pretty old fashioned, and Arnold begins to speak, his voice raspy
- "Hello there Martha, this is your father speaking. You're probably wondering why I'm speaking to you right now, if you've gotten this message, then things have gone wrong. Well honey...I've done some terrible things recently. Very, very terrible and awful things. But I want you to know that I loved you oh so much...when I saw Red Meteor appear that day, and when you became a recluse and no longer smiled...well something inside me broke. I blamed Red Meteor, in fact I still do, but...if they catch me then it could all be over for you."
- You aren't sure how to respond to any of this, but you keep quiet and continue listening.
- "Let it be known that all I did, I did for you Martha. I did it all because I love you so very much. When I'm gone, I want you to stay strong. You're a beautiful, bright girl. Just like your mother. There will be only one death today. I'll call for the security I have to take this tape and have it delivered to you. Don't end up like me...so angry, so mad. No, live your days in happiness. You deserve it. This was not Red Meteor's fault. No...no, this is all my fault. I love you, and good bye."
- With that he taps a button to finish recording and sets it on the table, calling for one of the guards who appears in short order.
- "Sir, we haven't found the intruder yet, but you should probably get somewhere a bit more safe."
- "Hmmm, so it seems. "Young man, could I trouble you for a favor?"
- "What is it?"
- "Take this tape, and when you return to Rosen City, deliver it to my daughter please?"
- "Er...yes sir."
- "Good."
- With that, Arnold shoos the man off leaving you and him alone together, with him puling out a small switch. "Just one push is all it takes..."
- >Crush it
- >Let him push it
- >Slap it out of his hand
- >Other/Write-in
- >Ghost through his hand and grab it
- Well, you can't let him do that. You casually stride up to him and phase through his hand, grabbing the switch.
- "W-what on earth?!" He gasps as you appear in front of him
- "You know, you may have sent a bunch of psychotic assassins after us, but I'm not too fond of watching a man kill himself."
- "Hmmm so you've come to take me in then?"
- "So you know why I'm here then? You sent those killers after us, including that Tyrant guy correct?"
- "Indeed. Though once I told him of you I didn't even need to pay him...that man was a dangerous one, in some way I'm glad you all ended him...he was far too dangerous."
- "On that we can agree. Now, we're turning this plane around and you're going to confess your crimes."
- "I wish I could, but I know if I did, then my company would go down the drain, my dear daughter reduced to a pauper."
- "At least she'd still have a father!"
- "Perhaps so...but I know she resents me to some level. That young man, Jerry was it? I never treated him right. If I had been more accepting, maybe that boy wouldn't be dead and my daughter wouldn't be so miserable. She really did love him."
- "That's pretty rough, but killing yourself? What will that fix?"
- "Better for me to die in an 'accident' than being behind bars wouldn't you agree?"
- "Not really. I'd prefer the cell."
- "I'd expect such an answer from you. Being incarcirated for so long...I'd be as good as dead anyway.
- "Yeah yeah, quit talking and come quietly.
- "Sorry, but that won't be happening."
- "And why is that Mr.Ryes?"
- "Simple." He takes out his cellphone which has an app on it, with a big red button. "I always plan ahead."
- He taps it and the second he does a loud boom resounds throughout the plan, throwing you off your balance.
- "A-are you crazy?!"
- "Perhaps so, but there should be enough parachutes for the men to escape at least...now you and I? I don't think we'll be that lucky."
- Another boom sends the two of you crashing against the wall, and before you know it more explosions are going off around you. You're knocked into something, you don't know what, but things are starting to go dark...you're losing conciousness...and pretty soon, everything goes black.
