  1. [09:03] Estarossa exclaims, "Watch where the hell you're going!"
  2. [09:03] Estarossa exclaims, "You big dumbass!"
  3. [09:03] Estarossa exclaims, "Bimbo!"
  4. [09:06] The boy kind of looks down at the little shit-talker that he'd just run into waltzing around town...and sort of just stops. His hand comes up to his chin, which he scratches at.
  5.
  6. "Bimbo?" He quotes, amused. "We gotta work on your insults, kid."
  7. (Jericho)
  8. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  9.
  10. [09:06] Jericho says, "...Let me guess..."
  11. [09:06] Jericho asks, "Orphaned slum kid?"
  12. [09:08] The young man had literally just bumped into Jericho it was probably his fault more than it was Jericho's. Still he was going to be upset about it, that was just how he is. Looking up to the male, staring daggers into his eyes Estarossa stood his ground.
  13.
  14. "It's what I call people. Shut ya trap!" Gosh, he wanted to hit this guy, but he knew that all hell would break loose if he did. Ugh. "And no, I ain't an orphaned slum kid. I'm a orphaned kid! Sheeesh. What are you, daft?"
  15. (Estarossa)
  16. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  17.
  18. [09:08] Lydia asks, "What is happening?"
  19. [09:11] If it had only been a few years ago, the tall, athletic martial artist probably would have violently reacted to such a phenomena. A combination of his conditioning in the wild and the conditioning by his father would have made sure that this altercation would have gotten ignorant rather quickly...
  20.
  21. But Estarossa's met a Jericho that's seen a lot of things. Lost some people. Come to peace with it all. The look that he gives the boy is pretty tranquil - almost zen.
  22.
  23. "I accidentally bumped into the little guy here," he explains, even though the boy had almost certainly been the one to bump into him. "I was just apologizing."
  24.
  25. His head tilts. He feigns ignorance at that last insult.
  26.
  27. "Daft? No, actually, my name is Jericho. You were close though. Good guess. An' what's your name? Or do you just go around telling people to call you 'orphaned kid?'"
  28. (Jericho)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [09:17] "What the fuc- FREAK!"
  32.
  33. There was one thing Estarossa hated. That was when other people claimed responsibility for his actions. Good or bad. The child is always proud of his work and for someone to take that from him caused great rage. What he didn't realize was that he was standing in front of someone who he couldn't beat down with words.
  34.
  35. So annoying. Estarossa would take a few steps back doing some pacing in circles only to then let out a loud scream. "AHHHH!" He couldn't believe it, the nerve of this guy.
  36.
  37. He got right back with him, getting in his face glaring and all. "Listen here, you. -I- bumped into you. First of all. Second it's -because- you don't know how to look for your surroundings. You- you..." Ugh, it was time to take right out of Saige's book with this one.
  38.
  39. "Little retard!"
  40.
  41. Jericho was still probably unfazed, which would throw Estarossa off. He rolled his eyesat the last comment too. "Daft is an insult, I didn't ask for your name. Ugh. Call me Rossa, Estarossa. I prefer the former."
  42. (Estarossa)
  43. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44.
  45. [09:17] Estarossa says, "Oh hey Mael, nice seeing you."
  46. [09:18] Aegnor casually walks over and takes a seat, as he observes what was going on.
  47. (Aegnor Watts)
  48. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  49.
  50. [09:18] Maël says, "Hi."
  51. [09:22] The lad rubs at his chin. Estarossa?
  52.
  53. "Your name doesn't suit you," he says in that infuriating, serene, calming way of his. The boy always seems out of like, he isn't in the present location, but somewhere very far away. Despite it, though, his gaze affixed to Estarossa is at the same time somehow intense... "You're more of a Chuck, or a Howell."
  54.
  55. Was this an insult, or did Jericho genuinely believe he'd be more at home with a less eloquent, more mundane name? Who knew. He probably didn't even know. Being enigmatic for enigma's sake was fun.
  56.
  57. His head doesn't even follow the boy as he paces back and forth. Instead, he takes this moment, to brush at his brother Akira's gi, humming serenely. By the time Estarossa readies himself to insult him some more, Jericho's already in his own little world...
  58.
  59. "Huh? Did you say something?"
  60.
  61. This was the only response that Saige's legendary insult would garner from the barbarian turned class act. His hands slide into his pockets afterward, and he looks around, at the other few souls in the vicinity.
  62.
  63. "So who watches you, kid? It's dangerous running around at night like this. Lots of real bad dudes. You should go home."
  64. (Jericho)
  65. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  66.
  67. [09:24] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
  68. [09:30] This guy is the worst. He wasn't even blatantly disrespecting the boy, and already he was easily able to get him worked up. This man is a master of his art. That is if his art is not caring about silly things. This was a frustrating exchange. Estarossa couldn't get what he wanted from this person.
  69.
  70. Jericho won't react bad, meaning that there is no way that this young man could attain victory.
  71.
  72. Estarossa only ever wants few things with his petty arguments. Notoriety, attention, and satisfaction. He was no good at fighting yet, and his body was weak. He couldn't beat on this guy. He didn't take him any serious so there was no notoriety being gained either. All he really got was attention.
  73.
  74. Any attention is good for Rossa though. "My name suits me, you retard." He said in a more calm tone, though you could tell by this point he was seething with anger. Jericho was really good at pressing buttons. He even ignored the 'did you say something' remark. The boy knew he heard it. That only made him more upset!
  75.
  76. "I watch me, and my brother here. That's how it goes." He rolls his eyes, at the 'you should go home'. "Easy to say when you have one, you big bimbo. We live off the land, our home is everywhere that ain't a house." He looks down at the young man's feet.
  77.
  78. "Technically speaking you're standing on my lawn! Idiot!"
  79. (Estarossa)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. [09:31] Iskan Furthis asks, "... The heck is going on here?"
  83. [09:31] Estarossa exclaims, "None of your business you rat!"
  84. [09:32] He just kind of blinks and stares in disbelief.
  85. (Iskan Furthis)
  86. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  87.
  88. [09:32] Jericho says, "Cute kid."
  89. [09:32] Aegnor Sighed as he finally decided to stand up and make his way a bit forward, his hand would rest on the side of his neck as he began to massage the side of it.
  90. (Aegnor Watts)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [09:35] Retard this, retard that. It seemed that Rossa would always throw an insult at someone if he was given the chance. This action caused the silver-haired youth to frown-- shaking his head in apparent disapproval.
  94.
  95. Life would probably be loads easier if Rossa decided to be kind for just one day.
  96.
  97. Well-- considering how people were beginning to approach the group-- the youngster decided to step forth-- jutting his chest out proudly.
  98.
  99. He then gestures towards Rossa.
  100.
  101. "I'm, uh. . sorry for his actions. My brother is special needs and he can't get by without insulting others. I'd appreciate it if you could forgive him and just. . walk pass this. Please and thank you," he blurted-- accompanied by a curt nod.
  102. (Maël)
  103. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  104.
  105. [09:36] Estarossa says, "You-"
  106. [09:36] Aegnor Watts says, "I advise you listen to ya sister."
  107. [09:45] If he was aware he was absolutely infuriating the seething child, it didn't show on his face much at all. Infact, he isn't even looking at him at this point, instead gazing behind him at the other boy, Mael. His head tilts to the side as he gave this one a good, long stare, and then scratched under his chin, squinting at the lad.
  108.
  109. At the long-winded apology, his face, for whatever reason, grows into a progressively wider and wider smile. He seems endlessly amused.
  110.
  111. "Your brother is adorable. He's lucky to have a brother like you to look out for him, Mael. It's no trouble at all. It's been a pleasure meeting you two."
  112.
  113. Gazing skyward, he looks at the smattering of stars that line the beautiful night above.
  114.
  115. Don't ever forget, Akira, that we're under the same sky.
  116.
  117. And then he turns his attention, at last, to Estarossa. Whereas up to this point, he had seemed so absentminded, the sheer intensity of his aura became tangible. A white glow effuses from his pores, tinged a tad creamy, like pale skin, or the waning moon.
  118.
  119. "You've got a lot of inner strength. You orphaned mage kids make it for years in your own, and this place eats most folk alive. My first year in the city, I never wanted to come back. It's hard. Harder than the wild. You already know to push your limits...but I have a suggestion for you. When you find those limits, Estarossa, when you don't think you can push yourself any further, aim ever higher. That's the only way you'll be able to protect the people you care about. And the harder you work, the less you'll lose."
  120.
  121. A hand settles on the kid's head, without his permission, tousling his hair like they were familial, friendly, and not two strangers in the street that could be mistaken for being in the midst of a confrontation about to turn violent.
  122.
  123. "Whatever kind of mage youbecome, I'm sure you'll be great. Anyway...I'm going to get off of your lawn now."
  124.
  125. With a wink to Mael and a friendly wave to Iskan, Jericho leaves with little to no fanfare, that larger than life, holy presence he emit receding once more, and leaving him looking no different than an ordinary vagabond, possibly a homeless man, wandering Osrona at night...
  126.
  127. "And by the way, kid? Cocksucker is a much better insult than bimbo."
  128.
  129. Jericho turns a corner, and is gone.
  130. (Jericho)
  131. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  132.
  133. [09:48] Iskan briefly glances to Estellise as he... Overwatches the situation.
  134. (Iskan Furthis)
  135. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  136.
  137. [09:49] Aegnor Is also overwatching the situation, a subtle yawn escaped from his lips.
  138. (Aegnor Watts)
  139. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  140.
  141. [09:50] Yvel merely passes by but looking towards Iskan wondering what was going on, Was this situation a bit too tense? He'd ask himself.
  142. (Yvel Endore)
  143. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  144.
  145. [09:53] The nerve of his brother... "You traitor! How dare you take the side of this big idiot! HE GOT IN MY WAY!" While technically this is true, that didn't excuse his actions. Still you'd think that your own blood would be by your side every step of the way. Truly saddening. You think you know a guy.
  146.
  147. "If I'm special needs you're like braindead you bimbo- UGH!" He rolled up his sleeve, and he was ready to hit him. Yet he didn't. "Sheesh."
  148.
  149. He hits his brother too much, and he doesn't like doing even if soft. He instead focuses on the raid boss in front of him. Jericho. This man was pure evil incarnate a man that was nearly unbeatable in a battle of verbal combat. This was his greatest challenge yet. He would finally, face defeat and he was not punched once.
  150.
  151. Crazy.
  152.
  153. "W- What is wrong with you!"
  154.
  155. He was disgraced, headpatted and all. He couldn't believe this guy. Not only did he destroy him in the verbal dispute, but he humbled the kid and even gave him advice. It was too crazy to be real. Estarossa wiped away at his eyes hoping that all of this would disappear, but it didn't. It was real life.
  156.
  157. Some brief reflection would enlighten the kid enough to give thanks to this guy. Where most people would resort to punching and kicking, this one played Estarossa's game and defeated him. It was a different feeling, one that he couldn't tell if it were good or not.
  158.
  159. "Bah... I ain't sayin' that word. It's too nasty. But uh." He looks down, and away! Hard to make eye contact with the victor! "Thanks I guess... You're kinda strong too."
  160. (Estarossa)
  161. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  162.
  163. [09:54] Iskan nods, satisfied with the non-violent conclusion. He'd walk off without saying anything to the boy.
  164. (Iskan Furthis)
  165. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  166.
  167. [09:54] Estarossa whispers something.
  168. [09:55] Aegnor smiled also as the non-violent conclusion of it all, it was handled rather well all things considered as he now eyes the two children.
  169. (Aegnor Watts)
  170. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  171.
  172. [09:56] Traveling throughout the city, the felinae went about his patrolling per usual, eventually planning to escape out into the wild at a later date to scurry the lands in search of danger.
  173.
  174. However, in the meanwhile his hears were taken astray by a sudden shout. "Huh?" He mumbled to himself, walking over carefully beside the stairs were he took a lone seat to observe the situation. Allowing it to play out a bit more before interrupting anything.
  175. (Wano)
  176. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  177.
  178. [09:56] Yvel sees that nothing serious is taking place and he goes about his way much more training to get done after all!
  179. (Yvel Endore)
  180. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  181.
  182. [09:58] She had been passing through --- on the way back to the park, stopping at what seemed to be a confrontation, however --
  183.
  184. --- Mm, no. It wasn't that at all, was it … ? It was a simple family spat, children being children and saying harsh words to each other. There wasn't anything of danger happening, here --- Just people being people. … This was not a fight for a Knight to get involved in. It was a battle of the heart -- not of the blade.
  185.
  186. A smile pulls up at the edges of soft lips, and she, too turns to leave. If there are no dangers -- there isn't a need to interject.
  187. (Estellise ven Astor)
