  1. I've done at least 5 yard sales in the past. Honestly there's not much to it.
  2.
  3. 1) Find out if there are any local regulations regarding yard sales. I've had to get a permit in the past to do a yard sale at my place in Arkansas. Not sure if that's the case here, but it's worth considering.
  4. 2) Put out ads. E.G., '3 family yard sale at 1859 Picket, from hh:mm to hh:mm'
  5. 3) Get plenty of change - 1's, 5's, coins, etc.
  6. 4) Stage everything you want to sell the week prior so it's easy to grab & set out on Saturday morning.
  7. 5) Price everything, or don't. Even if you have a price tag, it's highly likely people will try to get your prices down. If you like, you can skip pricing and just haggle.
  8. 6) Saturday morning - wake up early enough so that you can set everything out before your start time. People will likely arrive before then, so be prepared.
  9. 7) Just sell shit.
  10. 8) When you're done, call st. vincent de paul to come and grab everything you didn't sell.
  11.
  12. I would suggest that the Pollingue's and the Malin's bring everything over at some point in the week prior to Saturday. If it's possible to make some extra room for staging for us, that would be great. If it's going to rain, I'll bring my canopy so we'll have extra space. I think I also have some spare shelves and some folding tables I can setup to put stuff on.
