  1. I haven't really talked about this much, but Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 1 is being remade for the Nintendo Switch, as well as potentially Xbox One and PS4! To help them out, Krome Studios set up a kickstarter which I advise anyone who can to donate to.

  3. Ty the Tasmanian Tiger was an important series in my childhood. When I was probably around 14 or 15, I started my speedrunning/streaming career with TY 2 any%. My first time (and the first time at all for the game) was 2:25:xx. Now, any% on PC is an hour faster through better routing, tighter movement, and all around better gameplay! Even to this day, the TY speedrunning community remains one of the most active communities I play an active role in, and I recommend it as a speedrun to everyone!

  5. The final way this game affected me is that it helped me realize what my personal dream is. Growing up in the 2000's, I played a lot of Crash, Spyro, Ty, Mario, Pokemon, and other kid friendly games. My first shooter was Halo 3 and COD: Black Ops when I was around 12 years old. Nowadays, more and more kids are playing shooter games at an earlier age thanks to games such as fortnite. Part of the reason behind this (at least, imo) is that outside of Nintendo, child-friendly video game series have died out (at least that was the case in 2015). There were no more new Crash, Spyro, Ty, Ratchet and Clank, Baanjo-Kazooie, Jak and Daxter, etc. games being made. As such, not only did I want to become a game developer, but I want to make games that are rated E for everyone, so kids can enjoy a childhood outside of violence.

  7. This is why when I originally heard about TY 1 beeing remastered for PC, along with N. Sane Trilogy in 2016, I was ecstatic! In the years that have followed, the remakes and remasters have continued to be successful! I only hope now that they give way to new titles and new series that kids can enjoy!

  9. I know this is a rant, but my point is is that this is a series that has affected my life in so many ways I could not list them all out if I wanted to. So all I can say is, is give these games a shot. Play through them. Maybe you won't enjoy them now as most of my followers are I believe 14 or older, but imagine playing these games at the age of 8, which is when I first played them, and let your inner child come out!
