While they lack shadows themselves a good way to defend from vampires is outwards facing mirrors and they can also be killed through stakes and will turn into literal statues of their former selves if killed by one. If they are exposed to the sun they will experience an almost immediate sunburn, to the point they will start to literally burn up and possibly even die depending on how long they are in the sun's rays. They have a hard time near garlic or herbs and will often suffer fatal allergy reactions if not treated immediately. Lastly, the vampiric cannot interact with fire or else their body will be burnt and destroyed by the fire, with no trace left by them. If they are killed by the hot substance, they may not be recreated from the dead.
