>What is Guardian Tales?
Guardian Tales is a gacha game for iOS and Android developed by Kong Studios. Gameplay features top down combat featuring your characters traversing stages and dungeons while solving puzzles and battling enemies in real time combat, similar to 2D Legend of Zelda games like ALttP.

>Is this game F2P friendly?
Yes. While paying players will obviously have an edge, the main draw of the game for many players is the main story and side stories. While real time PvP exists, it's easy to reach a respectable tier for easy weekly gems (summon currency). Regarding summoning, while GT is somewhat marred by having a character and weapon gacha, the Mileage system allows you to summon any character or weapon of your choice after 300 pulls, which is permanent and lasts across rate ups.

>Should I reroll? For who?
As of May 2021, rerolling is now a feasible option due to beginner mission revamps, which net you an easy 40 free summons for 2 simple endeavors (buying anything from the shop, which includes items you can buy with ingame currency, and summoning any hero once). All accounts additionally have a one time pity SSR WITHIN the first 30 rolls on your account, separate for Heroes and weapons (this pity summon is not guaranteed to be the character for the banner you're rolling on, it's a 50/50 chance). Basically, clear World 1-4 and roll away. If "Future Princess" or "Beth" are on rateup, absolutely aim for them. Otherwise, ask in the thread who to reroll for. Don't worry if you can't get their weapon, you can buy it later with Mileage tickets.
Note that new players also have the ability to purchase any SSR hero plus any EX weapon for $10 for the first 7 days after account creation, if you're willing to spend a bit of money, but this obviously isn't necessary or vital at all.

>Ok, I started your game, what do I do now?
Progress through the main story at your own pace. Ask questions in the thread if you get walled. World 5 will probably be the first noticeable difficulty jump for you. Avoid spreading your resources too thin at first and focus on a core 4 team. Do NOT use your Hero Crystals for anything yet since you require 700 of them to Max Limit Break a single SSR unit, which gives a tremendous power boost and is required for some modes. Try to setup your Guardian HQ as soon as possible so that you can reach level 75 and begin sweeping Evolution Stone farming stages.
World 10 and 11 are a significant jump in difficulty and full of Dark type enemies. It's highly recommended that, at least until they get nerfed or are powercrept by player-side boosts, that new players prioritize non-Basic characters prior to clearing World 11.
It's highly recommended that all players purchase 50 stamina for 100 gems everyday in the shop. Doing so is vital to speeding up your progress ingame. Anything past that is generally not recommended, unless the current event is a Roadmap with particularly good rewards.

>What should I spend my Hero Crystals/Purple Coins/Star Pieces/other resources on?
Hero Crystals, as mentioned above, should ONLY be used to Limit Break units. Do NOT use them for anything else and ask in the thread before you blow them on a Limit Break if you're unsure.
Purple Coins should first be used to buy Coffee Grinders to increase your max stamina, but you get enough to buy out nearly everything in the shop to begin with, so don't worry.
Star Pieces should first be used to upgrade your buildings in Heavenhold to max, and they're also used to unlock story stages where you can get 2* characters for clearing them (or 8 Hero Crystals if you already rolled them). After that, feel free to buy the 12 cost "High Grade Evolution Stone Boxes" in the shop, of whatever element you want.
Battle Medals should be used on Minotaur Necklaces, Option Lock Stones, and if you have Oghma, Minotaur Shield. The other weapons and Mad Panda Brooch are pretty useless.
Bottle Caps should be first used to buy the Hero Crystals and Legendary Awakening Stones each week before buying whatever Awakening Stones you need.
Magic Metal should be used to purchase the 300/100 Epic/Legendary Exclusive Equipment Boxes each month. Do NOT buy the 900 cost one, it has no difference from the 300 one and is only there for whales with no impulse control. The 1500 cost Hammer is worth purchasing if you ever save up that much.
