Watame/Coco talk in ARK (AsaCoco/WataUta talk)

Watame & Coco's talk stream in ARK, notes and TL's compiled from Hololive Fan Server and Hololive Resistance Discord servers.
DISCLAIMER: I tried to compile the talk that bounced around under topics to make it easier to read. This is not in chronological order.


**On AsaCoco**
Initially Coco thought of Asacoco as a casual program, but she was supported by many people, and Asacoco became the morning of Hololive.
She became unable to take it easy, she's worried that if she does something wrong, Hololive will get in trouble as a whole.
C: It's like your daughter grew too big, she can't control it. Friday was the 77th Asacoco episode.

Coco spends 6 hours a day to make Asacoco (plus streaming). Asacoco alone is basically a day job. Coco would sometimes throw up due to pressure.
C: How long does it take to make WataUta?
Watame: I don't want to say it now.. compared to Asacoco (she did mention she can do whole week's Janken in 2 hours)
Coco needs new PC for rendering, it takes 1 hour to make 10 seconds commercial. Coco has made templates for all the commercials and become able to finish them super fast. Rendering takes time.
C: I think those who has experience in editing would understand me.

C: It's difficult to ask other members to come up with stuff for her. Everyone is busy, so I really can't ask. I might be able to ask favors like that when the 25th gen debuts.
C: Only Watame will get up that early, if she needs help. Coco however doesn't want to give Watame even more work if possible
A channel where hololivers could post Asacoco material was made, but nobody posts.
Coco says the program is awesome thanks to A-chan's help.

Coco found that 20 minutes is just the right length for Asacoco, that everyone has time to watch, normal streams are so long that a new one starts just as you finish watching the previous one (live or archive)
C: It's important to be persistent (regarding the criticism she's received for the unusual format of Asacoco)

The weather part is totally Watame's freedom, except the time with the poop. ​Watame is also the password provider for viewer server of ARK.
Korone's dark society/CM's are all written by Coco.
Korone taught Coco about AIUEO when she was lacking content.
"Korone has monstrous energy after all, even now she streaming. She's a genius."



**On WataUta**
Watame talking about how it was hard in the beginning, but now it's easier since it has a template.
Coco hasn't been able to watch WataUta in real time. Maybe once in total. She's too busy preparing and rehearsing for Asacoco.
Coco doesn't do the subtitles for WataUta.
Watame: I thought people might get bored with WataUta, so I've been changing the Janken a bit recently.
C: That's impossible, those who do drugs never get bored, do they?
Watame sometimes practices songs just night before WataUta. She sometimes has trouble choosing song, because she thought the songs may not end just before Asacoco
W: Yeah, I decided ABBA song just the morning before, and listened to it, and memorized it in one day.
​Coco says she can't memorize songs like that, she's amazed by Watame's capability.
C: "If it gets too tough, you can stop. I'll use it as material for Asacoco"



**Criticisms and management**
Coco talked about how she was criticized about claiming that she considers Kiryu Kazuma her boyfriend.
The new manager also tried to get her to use cleaner language which she also mentioned in Asacoco. This is impossible. Coco however said that the new manager is very good at their job.
Coco's manager has critcized Asacoco for being too high quality and asked her to lower the quality. Fans will learn to always expect the same high quality and it will cause problems when Coco can't keep the content quality up.
Coco was surprised from hearing this and hadn't even realized this problem until she was told so, but she refuses to lower the quality. At the end she briefly mentioned it might be okay to lower quality sometimes.
Management rarely demands changes to Asacoco, so they must've been okay with the content so far, mostly.



**Motivation to keep up morning shows**
Coco personally wants to keep doing Asacoco forever, but fans are leaking news less and less frequently and she's having a really hard time to come up with topics sometimes.
C: I wonder sometimes that if it's better to spend the time streaming rather than making Asacoco.
Watame: It must be tough to keep doing it everyday.

Coco thinks she will continue Asacoco as long as she doesn't get a mental breakdown, but she will not continue until I breakdown. That's not pro.
C: I thought about what to do when I can't do Asacoco, like maybe very bad fever or bad diarrhea. If you've never streamed until you collapse yet then you're not a pro.
C: If I die, I leave Asacoco to you.
W: If I get sick, I want Coco to do Watauta... is something I can't say.

When watame looks at the numbers for Watauta, like superchat/memberships, she thinks there is maybe little merit/value in it (like how ex-manager mentioned)
Coco and chat asking asked her "who is Watame comparing herself with when she's worried whether she improve or not"
C: Yes, you do need to compare upward, but you need to believe in those who are supporting you too!! It's been 3 months since we debut. Don't compare numbers, you have 170k subscribers in 3 months, thats already impressive.
Coco & Watame : We keep making this is because the viewers are giving us motivation. If no one watched it, we would've probably already stopped doing it.



**Miscellaneous**
Morning programs have become part of daily cycle for both of them.
Coco knows their success is based on the work of the previous gens.
Coco talked about still not having membership available. She doesn't know who to talk with to design member badge etc.
W: Maybe I'll draw it

C: "Why am I not invited to collab game streams?"
Others: "Because you don't have a switch"
Coco talked about her PC specs and that she needs a better PC to make Asacoco faster. Any "For Switch"-kind of superchats will be used as pocket money.
Watame's PC, which she's still paying the loan for, cost 170K yen. Watame has lowered ARK graphics significantly while Coco still plays on high settings.
Watame asked Coco's thoughts on the Animal Crossing fad and Coco pretended to be ignorant, saying she's played her own Animal Crossing called Human Crossing in Hitman too.
Coco doesn't spend much money because she has the Hololive House as goal. Coco still hasn't paid her 4k yen debt back to PPT.
She said she instantly put the Switch stand she got as gift up on Mercari.

They talked briefly about AsaMiko and how tough making it is. They also mentioned Marine's demonetization and how she got scolded about it (for being too borderline lewd?).

They planned to talk only for 1 hour but it ended up stretching. Towards the end they talked about Covid19 and how it's making things difficult.
They talked about importance of taking care of your health; "what is more important, your work or your life? Please keep that in mind, stay alive"
They have planned to travel, but it's been put to a halt due to current situation. Plans include taking a trip to Nishinari in Osaka and going to a Japanese ryokan and enjoy hot spring. "Let's go to Tenkaippin(fast food ramen)"

C: "What's your goal?"
W: "Be a character or seiyuu in a game."
C: "I will be the first to go and see." Coco also wants to be seiyuu in Yakuza game. Chat replied with "there's a higher chance for Coco to appear in Pokemon instead as rare monster"

Coco checks up on how Kanata is doing almost daily.
Coco is like oneechan to Watame. The PPTrio is very close.
Watame on crying: It's not that I'm sad often. I often cry when I'm happy.
