Cuddling the Snake

It was an exceptionally chilly day today.

You knew that it would be a day to break out the heated blanket when you had seen the snow starting to fall outside your windows, a decision you were happy to have made as it kept piling up outside. Your snake-eyed girlfriend had stumbled out of bed not long after you had pulled it out of the hall closet. Although she wore her usual blank expression, you could tell that she was freezing, since she was shaking uncontrollably as you dragged the blanket to the couch and plugged it in. Now she was snuggled up inside of it, still in her pajamas, having wrapped it around herself in a large tube. She had one arm poked out from the top of the roll where her head was, which she used to lightly lift and drop the tiny little tongue on the toy snake you had found after your weekly rummage through your apartment complex's local dumpster one day. It wasn't any worse for wear when you pulled it out of the garbage you found it in, and after a quick wash and run through the dryer, you'd presented it to Hikage, who seemed to have taken a liking to it, since she would often poke and prod it for hours whenever she wasn't busy.

Finishing up your omelet, you carried the plates out to the sofa, placing one on front of the sofa in front of Hikage as you sat in the chair next to her.
"Thank you, Anon," she said, readily devouring the omelet you'd placed in front of her as you took a more measured approach in eating yours.

Eventually, you both finished your breakfast, and you sat in your chair, watching Hikage go back to flicking her toy snake's tongue back and forth. Glancing out the window, you saw the snow as it continued to pile up, and as the frost grew on along the windowframes. Feeling a chill, you looked at the snake roll in front of you, and after a small shrug, stood up. Taking Hikage's plate and putting it on the table near the sofa, you started to unravel Hikage, who simply stared at you with her usual deadpan expression.
"What are you doing, Anon?"
"Do you mind if I join you, Hikage? It's pretty chilly out here," you said, nearly finished unrolling the blanket. You could finally see Hikage's snake pajamas as you finished, and as you lifted up the blanket to climb under it, Hikage opened up her arms to welcome you. Gladly accepting her embrace, you felt her wrap her arms around her back, her legs wrapping around your hips, as you pulled the blanket back over the both of you.
"Okay, now hang on, Anon." You wrapped your arms around her back as you felt her grip tighten to the point of pain. It was starting to get hard to breathe, but you still trusted Hikage, keeping your eyes locked on hers as she kept shifting around in place, seemingly trying to do something. Suddenly, you felt yourself being spun around as the world around you became a blur, and when it stopped, Hikage's grip had slackened as you found the blanket rolled up again, as Hikage had been earlier, though this time with you joining her inside of it. She had kept her arms and legs locked around your body, and stared at you until she decided to ask you how you felt.
"I feel great, Hikage. It's really warm and toasty in here, especially with you joining me."
"I'm glad you like it, Anon."

Wrapped up in the blanket with Hikage, you tightened your arms around her back as you nuzzled your head into the nape of her neck, taking in her natural scent. You planted a kiss on her collarbone, causing her to let a sigh as you pulled your head away.
"Everything alright, Hikage?"
"Yes, Anon. That felt...nice. I'm glad that you joined me." She had the faintest of blushes on her face, if you were any farther away you'd have never noticed it.
Feeling warmth caressing your body from all sides, Hikage's embrace, and the faint brushing of her breath on your neck, you realized you were starting to doze off. Not wanting to be rude, you offered Hikage to join you. "Want to take a small nap, Hikage?" The snake-girl looked at you with a puzzled expression as she could at best manage, before she responded, "Alright, Anon." Bringing her face closer to yours, touching your nose with hers with how close she was, she closed her eyes and said, "See you when we wake up, Anon."

Smiling, you gave her a small kiss on the lips as you shut your eyes as well and drifted off to sleep, happy in the embrace of your lover.
