- I do not write many reviews, but after watching this movie i felt compelled to write one for this movie. Im not sure what i anticipated when i had first gotten this movie But after watching it i was blown away. The movie is fast pace action packed and very good. I was shocked by how amazing this movie was. When i had gotten it i did not anticipate it to be so good. Highly recommend it, gave it a 10. you should watch it tell your friends about it and rate it a ten as well. then write a review for it like i am doing. In all seriousness this was a very awesome movie. Do not hesitate to watch it today. you will not be sorry.
- The summary pretty much sums it up. The movie watches like a 12 year old boy took some notes from a few recent action movies, then proceeded to create a female Jason Bourne, only without any explanation as to how she gained the ability to fight that way. Literally the only nod to any sort of fighting cred from her uncle, guardian, and stated trainer, was his ability to beat the crap out of someone tied to a chair, and to shoot random cars in front of a school in broad daylight and walk calmly away after the cops had already arrived, for some reason. <br/><br/>Then it's like, fast forward, she's a ninja/special ops/Batgirl I guess, but she only goes after Colombian crime lords. No segue. No explanation. Uh. <br/><br/>You can literally watch the trailer for this movie and see all of the actual story that is in the movie. <br/><br/>All that said, the cinematography is pretty good, the soundtrack is good, and the fight scenes are decently done, although they are basically carbon copies of various Jason Bourne scenes.
- Luc Besson keeps ralphing up scripts about beautiful lady killers, but that doesn't mean you have to keep seeing them. Case in point: Colombiana...[a] dull cable-TV-quality item.
- "The Fade Out Line" by Phoeboe Killdeer & The Short Straws. There are three versions: the U.S. theatrical, the international, and an unrated cut targeted for so-called home theater use in the States. The US theatrical version is most censored to obtain its PG-13 rating (for violence, disturbing images, intense sequences of action, sexuality and brief strong language). It has not been made available for home cinema use. Beside it's US theatrical release, the PG-13 version is only available as rental DVD in the USA or as Video on Demand. It has been heavily censored from its original version. <br/><br/>The European theatrical version was longer, leaving some intensive scenes.
