It's Almost Pokémon Puzzle Time Again Edition

At this moment, I am looking at a month's worth of future YouTube shorts. It's all Tetris Attack. I've been playing Tetris Attack almost exclusively for the better part of eight months.

But that is about to change.

This week, I have one more Tetris Attack tournament to take care of. Next week, however...

Pokémon Puzzle League.

Truth be told, I would rather be playing PPL and trying to improve one of my oldest personal best runs in S-Hard, but that's a time commitment I can't make right now and make sure that the tournaments run smooth. Oh yeah, I'm opening up signups for the PPL major this week. (I still need to touch-up the tournament page.) Then, I'm running the last Tetris Attack tournament for a while. (I still need to edit the Poochy Open videos.) Then, I have a week of Pokémon Puzzle League to plan for my birthday week! (I don't know what I'm doing on any day besides that Saturday.)

I can go ahead and tell you to mark your calendars for August 11 – 17. Last year, I did a week of Pokémon Puzzle League to celebrate my birthday with the game I grew up with and played the most. I said last year that I would do it again and I aim to keep that promise. As soon as I can come up with enough categories with enough variety to be interesting, I will publish a full list, probably by next week.

Arrgh, I did say I was about to be busy, doods! I'm really feeling it now!

In other news, I am acquiring a small Chromebook for remote-accessing my PC during my lunch breaks in an effort to be extra productive. I can already connect by my phone and do a select few things with little precision, but I'm hoping I can use this time to schedule shorts faster without using valuable home time. Here's hoping I can spend more time at home doing less monotonous tasks... like streaming! I need more time and more hands, doods.

As things start changing again, I have something else to look forward to for the first time in a while. It's almost Pokémon Puzzle time again, doods. Pray that it will always be Pokémon Puzzle time going forward.


Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:

Goal #1: edit Poochy Open tournament videos. My personal shorts are going to be perpetually behind. I can get ahead of the clipping, but other time-sensitive things keep getting in the way of the rendering. They will be a perpetual thing.
Goal #2: edit personal best videos in Tetris Attack Easy – V-Hard and Normal.
Goal #5b: finalize the tournament layout once and for all in a way that I can adapt for the Pokemon Puzzle League tournaments. At this point, I don't expect to be able to do this before the next Pokémon Puzzle League tournament.
Goal #6a: clean up my own stream layout. Most of the framework necessary for a semi-proper stream is done now thanks to streaming the process, though I'm not currently motivated to stream any other part of it at the moment. Next major objective is to make alerts. I have stream reaction clips to put in. Emotes, one or two alternate overlay themes, and alternate timer themes would come soon after. As soon as I think of things to put in, I will add them to the list.
Goal #6b: catch up on video archives that I have yet to upload since I restarted streaming. I may put them on a separate channel.
Goal #7: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts left to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. Getting back to this will be easier once the workflow for the monthly tournaments is finalized.
Goal #8: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts.
