  15. Right now, I'm in the process of choosing a domain name for the webiste. I never bought expired domain before, and my budget for one would be around $50. What would you suggest? Sticking with a brand new one or trying to find an old one.

  25. Go to any domain auction, Godaddy is good one. Type any word related to your niche and select age, tons of options with good age for $5. Just make sure you read the guides on BHW to check if they are penalized or not. Check for few links too. If you want to buy high quality domain with good link profile, buy from someone with good experience in finding domains.

  46. It's a small niche, 40-50k will be fine.
  47. Why don't you get a brand new domain and redirect expired ones as you go while link building. Much safer than that for your first project. If you're struggling to find a good domain, yet you really want it to sound special, you can use an online dictionary or thesaurus to find similar words and make it sound catchy. I did this a couple days ago to generate 5 domain and brand ideas in a pretty competitive niche. Took half an hour but now I'll have a catchy-sounding business with the help of a thesaurus.

  49. As for authority, as someone pointed, 10 articles can be authority if it's a small niche, so no biggie there. I know of a website with only 4-5 articles on a very tiny niche which has technologically expired and isn't popular anymore (replaced by a modern solution), but it still holds complete authority on it, and it does get alright traffic.
  50. @jefis and @Nargil are two expired domain sellers that i've used and had a great experience with. Jefis' domains start at 49 i think but Nargil has some cheaper ones. Both are super helpful so if you let them know what youre looking for then they should be able to give some suggestions. Buying from them would cost a little bit more than from an auction perhaps, but at least you know that youre getting something good and not spammed to death.

  52. But starting with a new domain also wouldnt be a bad idea. It might take a little bit longer to rank, but you would save some money, and you would have a lot more freedom with choosing the name.

  65. Brand new is best option because you can choose the exact keyword.
  66. If I were you, I will choose the old one.
