- She’s never experienced this before. Sorami and Sachiko were gone. Puk Puck was still here, but Uluru didn’t feel that she was all that reliable. Puk Puck was always the center of the world for her, she always did everything for Puk Puck and that made her happy, if she followed Puk Puck, she believed nothing she did would be wrong, but Uluru’s heart felt cold and shivered, despite thinking of Puk Puck, she felt no better than before, and it didn’t work like the last time she thought of her.
- She wanted to think about Puk Puck, but she couldn’t think about Puk Puck. With Sorami and Sachiko gone, the only one who could serve Puk Puck is Uluru, yet Uluru can’t even think good of Puk Puck right now.
- Uluru tightened her grip on her knees.
- It’s not that she couldn’t think of Puk Puck. She just couldn’t think of anything good about her. It’s as if she wasn’t interested in Puk Puck at all, as if she couldn’t think of anything but Sorami and Sachiko, as if she wished Sachiko’s contract was with her, so that a part of her would still be with Uluru even when she’s gone. She tried to drown those thoughts, but they kept floating back up. She tried to erase them, but it kept coming back over and over again.
