  1. Necromancy rots the soul, and is illegal to practice in many nations. Not only is it frowned upon by several churches, but it is said that those who study deeply of necromancy slowly begin to fade away, their very soul being torn by the magic, until it finally claims them, and so it's outlawing is said to also be for the safety of the practitioners. Cantrips and 1st level spells are considered relatively safe, but anything past that is considered dangerous.

  3. The Nameless Queen Nul's notes are the last surviving texts of necromatic practices. Not much is known of her, except that her name and history were scrubbed by the church of the Maatians, who burned all the books they could containing its secrets towards the end of the second age. Yet those who find old worn out pages among the various scholarly texts sometimes take up her lost art of the school of the dead magiks. It is said that she had mastered a way to weave the art while keeping the soul intact. How exactly is lost to time, but those who are caught practicing necromancy are often called members of the Queenscult. Indeed, many do worship her as a saint of their art, but regardless of their feelings or even thoughts about the Nameless Queen, her dark echos in history surround them wherever they go.
