  25. By the end of Winters I like to make sure I use the Boiled Egg just to ensure that it's already gone by the time I open the menu. If not, just drop it here.
  26. NOTE: With Mondo Mole Manip, I also like to drop the broken spray can before Jeff fixes it, during one of the menus when you use the key to the locker on the lockers (before getting the bad key machine).
  27. Give the Backstage Pass and the Franklin Badge to Paula, then give the Pak of Bubble Gum and the Bad Key Machine to Paula, and use the Bad Key Machine from Paula's inventory.

  29. The Teddy Bear will always land in Ness's inventory.
  30. When fighting Boogey Tent, Jeff's Big Bottle Rocket is the first item in his inventory.

  33. Stage 2A: Threed --> Enter Fourside Dept. Store

  35. After Boogey Tent, the Jar of Fly Honey will go to Ness. So will the Zombie Paper. (The Wad of Bills is gone)
  36. Assuming no Mondo Mole manip, when shopping at the arms dealer, it will be DOWN to sell the defense spray.
  37. - BUY: 4 or 5 Bottle Rockets (including the one you already have, if not yet used)
  38. - $246 left after shopping
  39. [ SIDE NOTE: It's possible that your money management could be off here, whether it be because of a death or just a simple buying/selling error. If for any reason after this shopping section you have to be below $246, withdraw money in the Threed hotel BEFORE sleeping. ]

  85. Stage 2B: Dept. Store to Shrooom!

  87. Dept. Store shopping causes a lot of debate, but my most solid method of bomb/bbr strats for this run yet is as follows:
  88.  
  89. Withdraw $10k
  90. - SELL Platinum Band
  91. - Buy 3 Super Bombs for Jeff
  92. - Buy 9 BBR's for Jeff
  93. - Buy X BBR's for Paula (X = however many more you think you need)
  94. - Buy 6 Super Bombs for Paula
  95. - Buy 6 Super Bombs for Ness
  96.  
  97. I use this method to manage my inventory effectively all the way up to Kraken, for as little variability as possible (without having MORE Super Bombs than normal).

  99. I try to go for:
  100.  
  101. - Use 2 Super Bombs (1 Ness, 1 Jeff) on a top floor Dept Store fight
  102. - Use 1 Super Bomb (Ness) on Spook (If more than 1 BBR is needed, go for it)
  103. - Attempt to use 2 BBR's on Mani Mani and save a bomb, but if no kill use the bomb (If turn one BBR is super bad use a ness bomb on turn 2)
  104. - Use 4 Super Bombs (2 Ness, 2 Jeff) on Clumsy Robot
  105. - (SOMETIMES CLUMSY ROBOT HATES ME AND I NEED 5 BOMBS TO KILL. IF THAT HAPPENS USE THE LAST NESS BOMB)

  107. Keep track of how many more than 9 BBR's you buy and use up until Deep Darkness. I personally buy 9, but I'd recommend 10 or 11 to anyone who feels the need.

  109. Grab the Night Pendant and Secret Herb in Moonside. The Secret Herb will be dropped or sold later if it goes unused.

  111. After all of this item management, you have the perfect set inventory for monkey cave optimization. Here's the path:
  112. - DOWN, DOWN for Skip Sandwich
  113. - UP, UP, UP for Picnic Lunch
  114. - DOWN, DOWN for Protein Drink
  115. - UP or UP, RIGHT for Pizza (Depends on Secret Herb and bomb stuff. Use your eyes.)
  116. - Jeff's first item is the Ruler (Get King Banana, THEN Hamburger, OR Hamburger, THEN King Banana, depending on whether you had to do UP or UP, RIGHT for the Pizza, respectively)
  117. - UP for King Banana
  118. - UP (or UP, RIGHT) for Hamburger

  120. Skip the items in Monkey Cave. I've found it more convenient to grab the two in Dalaam instead.

  122. Normally, by Shrooom!, Ness will have anywhere between 0 and 2 super bombs. Jeff should have zero. I personally like to hand over 3 bombs total from Paula after landing in Winters, as well as hand any extra BBR's over to Jeff.

  125. Stage 3: Summers --> Stonehenge Base
  126.  
  127. AFTER INPUTTING PLAYER NAME:
  128. - Buy 6 Skip Sandwiches, filling up Ness's inventory first, then the rest go to Paula (like, count how many paula will need and buy hers first, then fill up ness's inventory with the rest)
  129. - Use the phone in the store to unlock stoic club, don't go to the museum
  130.  
  131. Poo: Get Cup of Lifenoodles and Brain Food Lunch
  132.  
  133. After receiving the heiroglyph copy (This and Mummy Wrap should fall on Paula normally, but if Ness has no bombs and no herb he at times could have an open slot):
  134. Paula:
  135. - GIVE Ness one Super Bomb if he doesn't already have one (If he somehow doesn't have one but his inventory is full, drop the Secret Herb or something because you have too much stuff)
  136. - GIVE Poo one Super Bomb (or don't, a recent strat I came up with is to do no menuing at all here and just have Poo use Freeze B on Kraken, it's risky tho)
  137. Jeff:
  138. - Jeff's inventory should be all Big Bottle Rockets. Anywhere from 4-6 or so
  139. Poo:
  140. - Drop Bottle of Water (also optional)
  141.  
  142. If Kraken doesn't die in one round, quickly use whatever makes more sense for management (i.e. if you have extra BBR's use them, but if not then throw a bomb, but not both. Remember Paula is the fastest and will likely go first on turn 2, but Jeff is also p fast)

  144. Ness will get the cup of lifenoodles, hawk eye, diamond band, key to the tower, and talisman ribbon.
  145.  
  146. If I have more than one BBR after Guardian General (or more than zero for Mondo Mole manip) I like to hold on to it for Dungeon Man. Ness bash the proto, Paula freeze the cup, Jeff BBR the record.

  148. Before shopping at Deep Darkness:
  149. - DROP any other Misc. Non-needed items (which you shouldn't have at this point anyway) from Ness's inventory
  150. - DROP all BBR's except for ONE (Don't need to leave any if you did Mondo Mole manip though)
  151. - DROP Secret Herb if unused, or SELL it, your preference
  152. - GIVE Key to the Tower to PAULA (Can also do this when opening Dungeon Man initially, I usually do if I remember)
  153. At Deep Darkness, buy:
  154. - 12 Multi Bottle Rockets for Jeff
  155. - 3 Super Bombs for Paula (Total, including any she already has)
  156. - 3 Super Bombs for Ness (Total, including any he already has)
  157.  
  158. Ness will receive the Casey Bat.
  159.  
  160. IN WINTERS, GO TO THE DANG SHOP!!!
  161. -Withdraw 3k if you're somehow broke, and buy 8 skips for Poo and 3 for Ness. (I've sometimes done 7 for Poo and 4 for Ness, that's probably caused by having used Ness's Cup of Lifenoodles at this point. Either way, Ness's inventory MUST be filled)
  162. NOTE: With Mondo Mole manip, subtract two skips from Poo, since you won't be going back to Twoson.

  164. Paula should get the Eraser Eraser. When opening the menu to use the Eraser Eraser, give Paula the Pencil Eraser first as well, so Ness gets the Exit Mouse, uses it, and gets the Onett Exit Mouse afterward. Paula will get the Shyness Book.

  166. Stage 4: Sanctuaries --> Giygas
  167.  
  168. When giving the shyness book to the Tenda Chief:
  169. - DROP the Casey Bat
  170. - Give one of Ness's Super Bombs to Poo
  171. - USE the Shyness Book on Tenda Chief
  172. If you followed everything closely enough and establish a consistency, you should always be able to follow this guide and have your inventory be the exact same at this point, other than Super Bombs and Lifenoodles. MAKE SURE you use one of Ness's three skip sandwiches in Lumine Hall, and you're DONE!!! All clean. Ness has only his Magicant items (2 bombs, 2 bags, 2 sammies, night pendant), his regular items (ATM Card, Sound Stone, Receiver Phone), and one Cup of Lifenoodles. He will receive all future Exit Mice, the Rabbit's Foot, the Sea Pendant, the Cloak of Kings, the Carrot Key, and the Signed Banana, for easy menu navigation.
  173. - I like to leave the Sea Pendant on Ness during sanctuary sweep, and move it to Paula right before Giygas.
  174. - Paula's inventory is full or near full, and will not change until after Cave of the Past.
  175. - Jeff's inventory will have the Rabbit's Foot and a Crystal Charm and will decrease in bottle rockets until the end of the run.
  176. - Poo's inventory will have the Skip Sandwiches, the Cloak of Kings, a Super Bomb, and one lifenoodles as well, as well as the Brain Food Lunch if it went unused (this is in case Poo needs to use Healing Y before starting Giygas but you still wanna use Starstorm in phase 2. Which you wanna.).

  178. NOTE: If you bought four skip sandwich DX's on Ness in Winters, use one in Lumine Hall as normal so Ness can get the Rabbit's Foot, and use one more in Fire Spring (or any other Sanctuary that you please, I suppose) so that Ness has two remaining by Magicant while Poo has three.
  179. ALSO NOTE: You can have the Rabbit's Foot fall on Jeff if instead of using one of Ness's skip sandwich DX's in Lumine Hall, you just use one of Poo's. If you do that, you can equip the Rabbit's Foot to Jeff without moving it over to him, and instead move Ness's cup of lifenoodles over to Poo. I prefer keeping Ness's lifenoodles on Ness so that he has one for the Giygas fight, but this is an alternate option.

  181. After Sanctuaries, all Ness will need is the Rabbit's Foot from Jeff and he's all set. No need to waste time scanning to make sure, I promise you're good homie.

  183. No inventory management is required until just before starting the Giygas sequence. Ness's two bombs either will still exist or won't, depending on how nightmare goes.

  185. For Giygas: I like for Ness to have 2 Super Bombs and Poo to have 1. Paula should hold the 4th if you have it, Ness should hold the 5th if you have that, and in the rare scenario that you have the 6th as well it can go to either Ness or Jeff.

  187. FIRST: Heal everyone that's dead to prevent the accidental dropping of items (*looks at Boing*). If Healing Y was used and Poo isn't at max PP, use the Brain Food lunch on him. NEXT: Use Paula to distribute bombs. THEN: give everyone their respective equipment items, and EQUIP THEM BEFORE STARTING THE FIGHT (*looks at Ceriam*).
