1. [2018-07-21 21:29] Fyu: Heya buddy! You up fer something?
2. [2018-07-21 21:29] *Unnamed Experiment 7 perks, "Certainly! And honored!"
3. [2018-07-21 21:31] Fyu: Gimme a bit and I'll do a starter
4. [2018-07-21 21:33] Unnamed Experiment 7: Alright! Awesome!
5. [2018-07-21 21:50] Fyu: ALRIGHT NOW I'M READY! Sorry for the wait. Dinner took a little longer than expected.
6. [2018-07-21 21:51] Unnamed Experiment 7: No problem! I hope it was delicious!
7. [2018-07-21 22:13] Fyu: Let's be honest...
8.
9. The instant Fyu spotted any sort of anomaly in a timeline, then he, she, or it would have already been a part of the shopping list. In Fyu's case, it would have been a part of his backlog. A scientist's job was neverending! But it was also everflowing. Eventually, something that he had on his list would be gotten too. Eventually.
10.
11. Under a mellow yellow, in the sleepy hues of a blue tinted lab as the tip of his nail traced down the scratched columns of Checks and X's before touching down on the latest one: E7. Under a mellow smile, of a boy genius too good for his own good...
12.
13. "Oh. It's this one now..."
14.
15. ---->
16.
17. The setting is a rain forest. Something akin to one, at the least. Glossy petals the size of heads, perpetual rain over the skyline. The few times without rain were oftentimes full of fog instead, dense enough to swathe arm through the air and feel the heft of dispensed water. Mossy greens were the tones to see here, if not just the dull paleness of the crawling liquid smoke. This place was murky, disgustingly so, yet having so much of the universal life source [water] only meant it was teeming with life too. Clicks and howls of indigenous creatures manage to find an echo in the relentless sounds of rain...
18.
19. And that was what E7 found itself sensing out the window. That small glance of a world that E7 had either investigated wholeheartedly or just landed into WHO KNOWS I'm not the writer for this part. The part that's taking place here, though, is the note...
20.
21. Among the noises that meld together through an almost hypnotic melody, came a sharp noise of a door being opened. A door? No, that's not right. It was a tear. A tear into something. Somewhere...
22.
23. And then there was the footsteps. A thing, a humanoid, walking into this place... regretting not bringing a coat, grumbling about something. Someone new has appeared in this plane of existence. Who could it be? Well, that's [sub]not a secret[/sub], but the interaction remains to be seen!
24. [2018-07-21 22:26] Fyu: [sub]No need to post match, by the way! I'm more about getting story moving![/sub]
25. [2018-07-21 22:30] *Unnamed Experiment 7 had for too long felt nothing beyond the void of dead space, even upon entering a warmer atmosphere where mechanics heated and outer shells deteriorated. His stasis was interrupted and the process of thawing was slow, daunting and terribly boring of all things, which was the worst for his frame of mind and state. It was an awful sensation however, as he didn’t sense anything alive near him. That meant no food and a lack of food upon being thawed and free.. well.. he knew very well what that could mean for him.
26.
27. There had been warmth on the horizon, light… It helped the thawing and eased the pains of prolonged stasis as the cryogenic liquid with its enhanced properties heated up once more to help preserve his form, where as machines and technology had been used for that. Then the crash.. and he never saw it coming, literally.
28.
29. The vibrations of footsteps made his nostrils flare ever slight within the warmed water, eyes opening against the blindfold that removed his sight, enhancing other senses. Other than that, he didn’t move as various sounds were noted in this new, curiously loud environment. Like a crocodile, he remained frozen in place by his own will, a dead thing in a tub. That is, until he noticed how horribly scrunched up he was… Half of E7’s water was gone, having leaked out in the landing and while he slumbered. Well.. internally he pouted because he wanted the leverage of the water for catching a meal out of this new.. arrival? Intruder? Trespasser?... Prey? Other concepts were beyond his current understanding.
30.
31. Beyond the wreckage, there was carnage. Old bone dust decayed by space blight and transport of the scrap of the place.. marring of claws not done by anything beyond the partial building that remained. The electronics had a soft hum, very few things in ‘working order’ as the fact was, having been put into revival by the heat and solar capabilities that partially remained. (I may have wrote too much.. I’m sorry! Got inspired!)
32.
33. [2018-07-21 22:32] Fyu: (No, it's totally cool! I'm glad you're inspired!)
34. [2018-07-21 22:32] Fyu: (BUT I'LL ADMIT I'm gonna slow down a bit because I got my friend to log in as Towa. they won't be on long at least. I'll get back to you asap)
35. [2018-07-21 22:33] Unnamed Experiment 7: (That's fine, feel free to take your time. I'm not going anywhere!)
36. [2018-07-21 22:53] Fyu: SPLSH SPLSH SPLSH
37.
38. Footsteps. Heavier footsteps now. An intelligent creature like E7, with such enhanced senses, would quickly deduce by the tempo of these paces...
39.
40. It's a four legged creature!
41.
42. ... but what happened to the first pair? Perhaps a mount...
43.
44. SPLSH SPLSH SPLSH
45.
46. This 'mount' or whatever, was apparently getting closer. Close enough for the shallow sounds of the muddy bottoms to be interrupted by the occasional tp of a ship's floor...
47.
48. "BAAAAA"
49.
50. Was that... a bleat? Did a sheep or some other cloven hoofed mammal roam into the area? Possibly.
51.
52. CLK CLK CLK
53.
54. It was on the torn floors now. Vaguely, there is a presence. It nears E7's homestead... what will he do?!
55. [2018-07-21 23:01] *Unnamed Experiment 7 shifted ever slightly to allow his nostrils to surface. They flared to take in the scents while he played dead and opened his eyes for the heat signatures he could pick up.. but most of the place was lit up from the ambient humidity. Still, the closest, the living, would be hotter.
56.
57. No voices?... E7 waited a few minutes longer before he actually grit his teeth. He was too hungry for this. With his childish impatience to properly scout out danger, or if what he was about to go for was dangerous or toxic, he slammed his tail into the thick, cracked glass. It shattered outward, sending small cubes of glass all about with water. He held himself back with his claws in the chamber before suddenly lunging, hoping the debris on the floor would make it harder for the bleating mammal to escape.
58.
59. The way he lunged was like a frog leaping, only for his torso to extend to a serpent’s lithe form. His goal was to wrap the sheep-mammal-thing to hold it in place, only to open jaws wide, unhinging and stretching.. and he sought to just.. swallow the entire creature in one go if he could!
60.
61. [2018-07-21 23:11] Fyu: [sub]brb![/sub]
62. [2018-07-21 23:28] Fyu: Ever take a blind step? Set your foot down expecting to hit a surface but instead end up going way farther down that you intended to? Imagine that.
63.
64. Except your whole body.
65.
66. E7 leaps into the air, a ferocious battlefrog, maw a humongous hole of pure rave and infinite hunger coiling into a whole lot of
67.
68. nothing.
69.
70. In that moment when the realization of nothing hits E7, hits the fact that every sensation in the room has shifted! The prattle of rain, the humid thickness, the dim ambiance shatters to a cold stillness as the shock of change does too! E7 was no longer in the rainforest...
71.
72. Well, he was, sorta. The floors felt mushy suddenly and there were lights. Lights a little too bright, however. Artificially bright. This sense of claustrophobia is familiar. It's a... terrarium! But when did E7 end up in here again? Or was it all just a dream in the first place...?
73.
74. "Mhm! Took the bait, buddy?! Phew, you must be really hungry!"
75.
76. It's been a while since dreams had such clear voices.
77.
78. "I bet that whole trip must've left you simply ravenous, huh? You were in a form of a self preserving stasis for a while, eh? Impressive form of survival, but a leap like that... took a lot out of you, didn't it?"
79.
80. Where the voice was coming from... hard to tell. It sorta echoed everywhere. It sounded friendly, in fact, it almost sounded young and childish, a light cantor leaping on its syllables. But it was a smart voice.
81.
82. "Heheh! Don't worry, friend! I'll give ya the sheep!"
83.
84. SSHFFWFF
85.
86. Another interruption in the atmosphere. This time, the warmth is real. A sheep, a beast of burden, is actually there!
87.
88. [2018-07-21 23:41] *Unnamed Experiment 7 curled around his prey and snapped jaws down on… nothing. Just himself. “HnnnNNNGH!” Like a child in a tantrum, his lithe form gave a violent thrash before compacting back down to his First Form, although a bit on the thin and wrinkly side. Eew.. soggy skins…
89.
90. BRIGHTNESS!
91.
92. Even with being blindfolded, his eyes shut tightly, feet digging claws to the mushy ground below. Wait.. the scents.. the.. the.. everything… It took a lot for E7 to not shout out, to not speak and yell and rampage around. Some sort of dream?... A… nightmare?...
93.
94. Talking. He heard it clearly.. and reacted the same way he always did. Even while seeming humanoid-lizard hybrid, he hunched down and was quiet, pausing to just lick his own eyeball. Yep. He did that. He just reached up his purple tongue and slurped at the latex blindfold as if he could reach his eye.
95.
96. Another test?... Another?.. Without actual food? The voice was right, as that lunge did take a lot out of him. But ever the performer, he slunk down on all fours and lashed his less-than-thick tail. Ugh.. he liked it plusher.. But he could smell the sheep and was driven by need, instinct and the fact that he knew he had to perform. Perform.. because he was acting partially, curious..
97.
98. E7 hadn’t come across any voices in such a long time… Why was it comforting? Still.. he was studying this voice as much as he felt studied. So far it liked to tease… not unusual.. It knew what he had gone through.. was that whole ordeal just anther test??... Still E7 stalked towards the sheep and gave a small predatory sway. He didn’t lunge so much as he threw himself at the ground, body elongating and attempting to constrict the sheep. It used less…. Energy.
99.
100. [2018-07-21 23:57] Fyu: Sheeps are pretty stupid animals, but they were careful, sheepish even. When the beast of burden was dropped into its doom, it strode carefully, bleated nervously while scuffing the soggy ground. Animal instinct senses danger, so it moved quickly, flicking its white ears to the sides. It catches E7 with a darted pupil, back leg kicking!-- and slipping. Collapsing to the ground where it thrashes, slips onto more mud, until its demise when scale bound muscles squeeezee onto its flanks!
101.
102. The hymn to this painful death is a chuckle.
103.
104. "Heheh. Intense... but not unexpected! That's right buddy! Eat! Gonna need you to be at full strength for the real fun!"
105.
106. [2018-07-22 00:04] *Unnamed Experiment 7 certainly took more hooves to his stretched gut than he would have liked! That included one to the noggin, which took his dwindling patience to not rub. Comfort was taken in the fact that he felt the sheep, squeezing the life out of it. Only when its body heat lowered slightly and he felt the pulse stop, did a more slow consumption resume. Jaw unhinged and stretched and much like a snake, he ate.
107.
108. Full strength?.. Wait.. wait.. fun?... Now this, this he knew something about. However fun was very, very subjective. Fun for others was not always fun for him, and often at his expense. What were the intentions of this voice’s keeper? This wasn’t a scientist-type he was familiar with.
109.
110. [2018-07-22 00:20] Fyu: Luckily, or to E7's chagrin, the voice wouldn't return until E7 had finished his meal and then some. During that some, something strange happened...
111.
112. It was peaceful! Peaceful in a way that E7 may not be able to resist the urge to rest. This terrarium, bizarre chamber, attuned itself to every specification E7 needed for his amphibious tendencies. It was comfortable, inviting rest and with a full belly? More than enough reasons to relax...
113.
114. If he did. If he didn't, that'd be okay too.
115.
116. After some hours, the voice eventually returned... and not by itself! A cyan light erupts from the floor like a bright pillar! A figure stands within. Though, it was easy to tell that it wasn't the real deal. The all familiar feeling of electromagnetic in the air and lack of a heat signature told him that whatever was here had to be a hologram.
117.
118. The figure set a hand to its cheek.
119.
120. "Well, well, you're looking much better than earlier, Heptus! That's what I'm callin' ya, by the way. Heptus. You okay with it? Sure you are. Anyways, um, I know you understand me and all that, so I'll just lay it all on you straight. My name is Fyu! I'm a scientist! You happen to be one of my subjects of interest! You have an interesting method of developing power, therefore I want to see what we can do! Capiche?"
121. [2018-07-22 00:34] *Unnamed Experiment 7 was too used to being studied to rest usually. Heck, the closest he had come to rest was that long-lasting slumber. Now he had to act.. because he couldn’t even try to figure out what happened. But this.. this was.. comfortable?... After eating.. after tensing, then calming.. he steadily shifted to his First Form without its additions of survival such as the case for eating. His tail was plump while the rest of him properly proportioned for his seemingly child-self. And he was a kid, to the point that upon having a full belly and feeling comfortable, he curled up and did actually sleep. It wasn’t an alert, false-sleep with eyes open, but rather heavy. Heck, he looked almost innocent curled up like that, if one didn’t know any better.
122.
123. It was the light that woke him. Bright blue light… no heat signature, but bright.. and the voice. E7 was familiar with holograms to the point he stopped attacking them after growing bored of doing it for the amusement of others.
124.
125. Heptus?
126. Heptus??
127. That’s what he’s calling him?...
128.
129. Normally E7 was fine with playing the part of stupid predator but at this ‘Heptus’ business, he actually tilted his head. And the voice went on to explain things very.. uh.. straight to the point! And treat him with a sense of.. of.. eh.. like he was an intelligent being.
130.
131. E7 didn’t know how to respond to this. Prano had treated him similar for a bit.. And he had heard the term Capiche before as well. Lips were licked and he weighed his options.. namely due to this.. Heptus business… “I understand..” Even his voice matched his child-like appearance.
132.
133. [2018-07-22 00:42] Fyu: "Yes. I know you do~"
134.
135. There was something dulcet in that tone. There was no falseness in that sweet nature, but like a poison berry, it was sweet and dangerous. Not to E7 himself, strangely enough. It was dangerous in the sense that it was confident. Sure of itself. Lackadaisical even, as if it was talking to someone that it knew.
136.
137. "I've read your records, Heptus! Just enough of your files were intact. Lucky me. You're pretty scary..."
138.
139. Yet no fear hinted.
140.
141. "Which is why you're perfect! We're gonna have tons of fun! I've got all sorts of neat experiments lined up for you! Don't hold back, okay?! I wanna see you go all out!"
142. [2018-07-22 00:48] *Unnamed Experiment 7 had only spoken because of the name.. and now felt with that tone, his suspicions were confirmed. At being commented as scary, he took it as a compliment with a small smile. There was a sadistic streak within him that wanted others to fear him. Why shouldn’t he? They kept him rather.. detained.. poking.. probing.. Why should he even consider anything more than the delight he got from acting out towards them and more?
143.
144. “Perfect?..”
145.
146. The boy tilted his head a little, sitting up and no longer acting the part of feral-minded. He simply didn’t have to. A thought then… and his tone took on something cold and serious. “If you want the best results.. never.. ever.. lie to me if I ask you something and say please… and I will be wholly honest with you when you ask me something, without saying please. Capiche?” Please.. it was the magic word.
147.
148. [2018-07-22 00:57] Fyu: "My dear assistant..." Cackled the voice, "Science is not founded on lies. It's founded by truth! Concretes! Proven theories! and questions..." The hologram paced back and forward. "Lying to you serves no purpose! Besides, I know a lot about you already! Heheh.. but... there is something I don't know about you..." It paused. "There was nothing in your files that talked about why you are forced to walk around blind, when theoretically.. you should have some competent vision..." SHFFFPT. E7 would feel the fold over his eyeridges slide off... "Why not use it now?"
149. [2018-07-22 01:08] *Unnamed Experiment 7 “Correction.. Science is founded on theory and result.”
150.
151. Did he just.. yes.. yes, the boy dared to correct him, arms crossing over his chest childishly. “Some including lying to others.. assistance and subjects as well, as part of that. The means to their end. Lying could serve purpose to curiosity.. but I.. I do not want it.. if I say please.. make your next words truth. Betray me.. and I will be.. be..” His nostrils flared, “.. I will be very upset.”
152.
153. He knew better than to touch the blindfold. That was something he just did not do. It was simply trained into him from early stages. As the blindfold fell free, the light was glaring. Both sets of eyelids were blinking furiously to adjust, squinting. And his gaze would settle upon that holographic form of Fyu. The light ached, but his eyes searched, roaming over each and every detail he could take in. They shifted from their gold-green hue to a rather brilliant violet. “I always assumed there were things they did not want me to see. But I know better than to touch the blindfold.” However he noted the green ribbon there, up against the latex that offered some comfort to his scaled flesh. Picking it up, he went to wrap it about his neck like a scarf.
154.
155. [2018-07-22 01:24] Fyu: "Hohoho... So I can't just give you the rosey daisy part of science, huh? My fault anyways! Was just trying to make it sound fun!"
156.
157. Fun... on a subject that likes to teeter between the greater good and the greater fucked. Whoever he was, though, he meant it. Through his smile, pinched small and genuine on smoothly lavender skin where it points towards tips of ears shaped like knives. A young man of strikingly red eyes, dressed in black and mustard pants, with said striking eyes covered over by lens of a pale yellow, stood there in the same space at E7. It was yet again at this moment where Heptus's sense rung with another surprise: This was no longer a hologram. The scientist, the very person, was in the space that he was.
158.
159. That countenance disarmingly charming. The scientist himself, though, not unarmed as a black sword hung on his belt.
160.
161. But he looked so casual... quite possibly stupidly so.
162.
163. "Well then, don't worry about the blindfold or that stuff anymore, Heptus. I wanna see ya be yourself! Gonna run some tests on you first, then we'll take you out on a field, and then... the final stage!"
164.
165. Blink.
166.
167. All it took was a blink for this mysterious youth to be standing here, to there, without a twitch of his muscles or a visible transition.
168.
169. "But we're still quite a ways away!"
170.
171. He said, raising his hand and pointing!
172.
173. "And I still got a few more preparations to do, so you just keep hanging tight, alright?! If there's some changes you want in your little space, though, just lemme know. I'll be happy to adjust! I mean, it is kinda boring in here, isn't it?!"
174.
175. Blink. He's standing somewhere else again!
176.
177. "So I'll just drop.. um.. what's something you'd probably like? Uh. Oh! Maybe a cube! Sure! A cube! Some picture books.. a .. well, Beelzebub loves these, so I'll drop one of these too..."
178.
179. PLINK PLINK PLINK!
180.
181. A puzzle cube, some books, and a tv hooked to some sort of old gamey console drop right into the chamber! Along with some sort of little corner with its own flooring, because Fyu just isn't about to drop all that stuff on the dirty ground ew. "So just wait for me, kay? Alrighty!"
182.
183. [2018-07-22 01:38] *Unnamed Experiment 7 felt it. Feelings. Emotions. They confused and conflicted him the most. His now violet eyes showcased that imprinting process to the point his iguana frills were no longer raised. His stance took on an entirely different demeanor; vulnerable. Indeed, he felt insecure with being unsure how to handle this, but dared to sulk a single step closer. This was done with his head bowed in submissive respect, shoulder leaning towards Fyu’s form and neck slightly bared, his clawed fingers held together childishly.
184.
185. He nodded slowly, taking it all in. “Heptus… be… myself?..” A totally foreign concept! He looked outright confused at that. “I am myself. You were not yourself before. You were light. I am myself.” Despite the vocabulary, there was that learning curve with great ignorance, but plenty of understanding.
186.
187. As Fyu seemed to just be here.. there.. there.. The lizard boy kept turning and shifting his form appropriately in facing the direction his voice came from. It was so… curiously interesting! He wanted to do that! “Changes? Wants?..” he could.. get wants?...
188.
189. Then things were.. dropping in! His head bounced around with each movement like a lizard following a cricket on a caffeine rush.
190.
191. “Oh.. Mine..” And very quickly he was distracted, off to investigate the new space and these new wonders. “I will wait. You have given me things.. and.. Heptus too.. …I am pleased.”
192.
193. [2018-07-22 01:39] Fyu: GOOD YOU BETTER BE because I gotta go to bed
194. [2018-07-22 01:39] Fyu: You enjoy that?

204.
205. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
206. Saved for next, if we get to play again:
207.
208. /me had spent hours glaring at that corner of flooring with all of those.. rather curious looking objects, pacing right alongside it and literally seeming to fight internally with himself. He seemed entirely unsure! What were they? Were they traps? He had taken bait before, certainly... but these things were...
209.
210. ..different.
211.
212. And his?
213. He had.. things...
214. And a name.
215.
216. Why did he really want to investigate those so badly? It wasn’t as if they smelled like food, moved and caught his attention, or seemed to do anything at all other than sit there. His head kept looking about, glaring and expecting to be nudged or see some sort of lens, camera.. anything.
217.
218. Finally, he had stepped fully onto the flooring. He gave it a flex of his toes, not used to standing upright on an actual floor. Now that he didn't need to pretend to be a dumb lizard, he could investigate! Everything got gnawed on and tongue-slapped. It came only natural. He had to test it. If it didn’t prove tasty or seem like something that was rightfully edible, he didn’t eat it.. and so nothing was eaten! Not used to touching things with his hands beyond clawing and crawling around, he was awkward with how things were handled. Flipping picture book pages was difficult.. so the pages were all just torn out and spread out, so he could look at them all at once. Yes, this worked. He could flip them that way. Of course this was discovered when he literally threw a fit at not being able to turn pages and stop more from turning and then a page nearly ripped and oh, oh he was.. unhappy. But he calmed down when tearing out a page worked.. so despite the books were ruined, they were not ruined to him. To him, the pages were now pleasing to look at and flip over, no matter how many times he flipped and flipped them.

220. The same thing went for the cube. When he realized it was a puzzle, it became what occupied him most. Was that a small twitch at the corner of his mouth? Just about! Patterns were easy to figure out for the most part.. so even once solved, he would shut his eyes and mix up the puzzle, before going at it again. Faster. Faster. This angle. That angle. Could he do it with his feet? What about a foot and a hand? What about laying on his back? How about standing on his head? What if his tail held it? What if he analyzed it and shut his eyes to actually solve it? Could he do it with his tongue? So many possibilities! His eyes were wide and alert rather than holding their usual broody glare, all over a cube of all things.
221.
222. The TV and games? Eh.. clawed hands.. awkwardness.. child temper. E7 didn't have much use of his hands as actual hands outside of swiping claws to walk, climb or fight with. It did not last long anywhere near him. Even if it didn’t break, he thrashed the console and TV to the opposite side of the floor corner, as far as he could get it away from him, tearing at it until he was satisfied. Then since he was standing and pretty pissed off at the damn thing, a hand was held out. Kekekekekeke! A series of bright cyan blasts were unleashed from he palm at the console. Only once he got it out of his system did he seem alright, standing over it on all fours as if to dominate the object.. only to look around, then at his clawed hands and stand upright.. then snort at it. He was torn between his animalistic drive, pretending habits, and that child mindset.... Standing upright and walking wasn't something he was used to doing naturally after being kept down on all fours for so long. Fyu said be himself.. was this what he meant?
223.
224. E7 took to the clean flooring rather than the swampy muck of the terrarium since he was given the option with it there and no longer had to fake stupid, although he did trail the muck a bit with him. Eventually he fell asleep curled among the pages of the picture books, their covers stacked on one another, balanced.. and the cube was clutched to him, as if he could protect it from being taken away by using his body as a shield of desperation. Yes. It was that important. Everything about his body language said one word: Mine!
