Henrik Backstory:

On occasion, the recruiting propaganda of the Imperial Guard turns out to be accurate. Forged in the hellish fires of endless war, there are men and women who truly do only reach their potential in service to the Imperium, and Henrik Jutte is one of these. Drafted at the normal age for a guardsman, he was quickly pulled into the Medicae Auxiliary, and began his training in the arts of keeping soldiers alive. Unfortunately, he took to his lessons a bit too well, and as a result he began to focus far more energy than is healthy on the pursuit of medical knowledge. This has led to both progress in leaps and bounds in his ability to keep soldiers alive and fighting, and an utter deterioration of his attention span towards things that are not in that arena.

Henrik is unquestionably a talented medicae, but it's difficult to keep him focused on anything that does not involve this field for very long, as soon he's back to daydreaming about new drug combinations to test or faster methods to stop bleed out on the field. This has the curious effect of also steeling him against the horrors of war in this time period, since he'll often simply forget to be terrified and go back to work.
