- her father's business was a company that made a new type of phone which was very popular in japan and he wanted to expand it worldwide.
- however, what the public didn't know was that he was using the phone to find out people's personal details and using them to blackmail and expose them. kiko was oblivious to her father's actions and had no idea what he was doing.
- that was until he was exposed to the public for what he was doing. the company was shut down and he was sent to prison. people hated kiko and her mother as they assumed that they were involved with the scandal. they decided to flee to korea to escape the hate and the media.
