  1. The critique of liberalism has been clearly made. But I guess it needs to be even clearer. Maybe by critiquing an idea occupying a similar space: pacifism. The comparison works quite well, just replace the following buzzwords with the ones relevant to the debate about liberalism and identity. And both pacifism and liberalism are based on ideas of restraint and take a dim view to force.

What we have here is someone noticing that life was better when pacifism reigned or was respected, constantly reiterates how highminded pacifism is, and how good things would be if people were pacifist. And criticizes the reality of force and violence in constradistinction to this idyllic view. Of course, the debate is never that pacifism is bad but that pacifism isnt always an option, force must be met with force, and pacifism can be induce various blind spots, particularly to subversion
