  1. -Part 1: New Life-
  2. Magnus J Wright was born on September 9th, 1992 to the Magus family located in America know as the wrights. The wrights for the most part are descendants of legendary aviation technicians who focused on wind magics and in their later years, teleportation magic. Passing on the teachings of said magic and technology to their descendants, they family eventually formed their own crest that allowed seamless use of wind based magics and teleportation easy and possible.
  3.
  4. But that detracts from the Child Magnus. He was born as a son to Ethan Wright and Hikari Wright, the mother coming from a prominent magus family in Asia but married into the family to increase the power and prestige of their bloodline. He had two brothers, Alex and Harry, and a sister, Ingrid, growing up and he was raised wanting for little. Magnus despite being the youngest of the brothers displayed incredible magical aptitude and magical reserves at an early age, excelling in maters far beyond what his brothers were capable of. This earned him their jealousy, but won him the families lineage and inheritance: The crest of the wrights. He was sent off to the mage's society at the age of 7, to avoid the wrath of his older brothers who thought they were cheated out of their inheritance and birth-right and also to foster Magnus abilities to the logical extreme.
  5.
  6. -Part 2: The Academic and Philosopher-
  7. Magnus lived a relatively sheltered life up till this point. Being tossed into the open and new world of the magus society, he struggled with certain things and preconceptions that he had grown accustomed to in his time at the ancestral home. His relatively small struggles however were outweighed by his thirst for knowledge. He wanted to know more and as much as possible and in his early year's of life, threw himself into deep studies in everything. Elemental magic, necromancy, curses and bound fields. So much so that praise from instructors was heaped upon him, especially with the ease he took to it regarding his crest.
  8.
  9. He would have continued on his unfiltered search for pure knowledge if not for one event that would change his path in life forever. Living a sheltered life, he had no knowledge of other families or how heartless and cruel magus society could be. Having grown close to a particular student who was not of traditional birth during his studies, they grew close and young Magnus saw her as an equal in several ways. Magus society however was not kind to such individuals and one day she simply vanished. Magnus, through constant pestering and the will to not be deterred by anything for the truth, pushed his way through and found out several other highborn did not like how close she was getting to one of their own and so they humiliated her in the worst possible ways physically and mentally.
  10.
  11. She was used as a test subject by one of the magus with less than reputable morals. Violated in all manners physically, mentally and magically. She was turned into something of a grotesque Frankenstein abomination and when he found her, he could not stand to see her like that. He killed her with his own hands and vowed that no amount of research or rationality was worth the horrors they visited upon her. It woke him up to certain truths of the world and he decided that it was time to change Magus society on a fundamental level.
  12.
  13. Shifting his focus away from magecraft and into Academics and Martial arts and leadership skills instead, he began to search and rally other Magus to his banner that shared his misgivings of society and wanted it to change for the better. What started out as a handful of youth's from several notable houses turned into a congregation of twenty and then thirty of the inheritors and second children of notable Magus families. They rallied around him, recognizing the need to end the inhuman treatment of fellow Magus and Mundane's, regardless of status or position.
  14.
  15. Around this time, Magnus became further and further radicalized away from the pure logical fallacy of the society. Instead, he wanted the society to support and prop humanity up to new and further heights rather than seeking to benefit themselves. This of course conflicted with the societies policy of not letting the normal world know of the one that exists in its shadows which would divide the two individual groups, eventually ending in tragedy. He also began seeing that humanity could not last much longer going down the path it was on if the Magus society did not interfere and try to correct the natural disasters of the world.
  16.
  17. -Part 3: Black Blooded Beast and the Tragedy of Westpoint-
  18. As things between the society and the young Magus separatist movement began to get worse and worse, Magnus began leading them on sabotage missions and raids in order to hinder the experiments of certain notorious Magus within the society who directly opposed the young separatists movement. These attacks scaled up in severity up to the point that everyone within the movement actively began to hide in a base located in Virginia near the coast. Things took a dark turn for the worse however after an attempt to expose the society put them on the blacklist for Enforcers.
  19.
  20. Magnus and the young society were never prepared for the kind of ruthless attack they were going to receive and one day on a cold winter evening, dozens of enforcers descended upon the hideout of the society. What happened next was a massacre as these young Magus were executed, cut down, shot or burnt to death with magic during the ensuing raid. One by one they were all killed, suffering violent and horrible deaths until only Magnus remained. There was no humanity left in him after the retaliation of the society against so many young Magus. Like a beast, he took up his blade and killed most of the enforcers in a violent hatred-fueled anger, killing most of the enforcers who had attacked the separatists. Outnumbered and at his limits after suffering extensive injuries and a mortal wound by one of the enforcers that stole his right eye, he used his teleportation magic to take him to a safe house on the other side of continent. An action that nearly killed him, yet he was miraculously found on the verge of death by allies and taken into extensive care.
  21.
  22. For months after, Magnus was in and out of consciousness from his injuries, delusional with anger and hate for the society and in a torrent of emotions of what he could only describe as the specters of the dead comrades of his crawling under his skin and asking him why they had to die? Was it worth it? They begged him for vengeance and what he had left of his rational sanity was shattered from this scarring episode of tumultuous emotions in him, leaving a scarred and broken individual who thought of nothing but vengeance against the society who had killed an entire generation of Magus to preserve the state of their own society.
  23.
  24. It wouldn't be for many months until he made a full recovery. His body riddled with wounds, burns and scars but most importantly he was saddled with a criminal reputation. The society painted him as the villain and his comrades all as victims of a terrible terrorist attack against the society orchestrated by him. The mundane news organizations all turned against him too and labeled him as an international terrorist that could not be trusted. He later found out that many of the families who would speak out against such a large purge of their own were silenced and forced into compliance by bribes or having their families crests returned to them in full.
  25.
  26. Magnus ultimately could never return to a normal life. The society needed to pay for their crimes, even if it cost him his life. Borrowing what weapons and magic items and servants he could from the family who believed him a victim of circumstance and corruption of the society, supported and protected him from them while supplying him with Homonculi, magic weapons, items and armor. It was time for the true rebellion to begin in earnest.
  27.
  28. -Part 4: Death of the Wrights, Flight of the rebel-
  29. Magnus was slow to attack the society at first. He wanted to martial forces first then attack them. During this time period before the events of the grail war, the society and the Wrights were working close together to find their wayward son and put him to the sword to get their crest back. Only this time however things would be different. For years, Magnus spent time going from family to family affected by the tragedy and pleading with them to provide materials, Homonculi and support to the rebellion. Most never supported him, fearing reprisal from the society. A few did, but whatever support they proffered was limited in nature and others did not and actively blamed them for the death of a loved one, not because of the narrative the society put forward but because of the fact he dragged their children into it and got them killed. These disagreements and refusals often resulted in skirmishes and Magnus had to kill more than a few of them in the end.
  30.
  31. Their deaths stirred up the Enforcers, but Magnus had established an information network and knew their plans and actions in advance. He utterly crushed whatever enforcers came his way and left violently torn apart bodies as a sign of those who would refuse his revenge would suffer from. He realized though that the rebellion would never reach fruition without removing the tyranny that held many of the other families back. He orchestrated and planned for an all-out assault on the wright ancestral home with the objective of killing every last man, woman and child in the wright family and then killing all of the societies lackeys. Plans were made and Homonculi and undead were moved into position. As the battle drew near, the society did not catch on to the impending attack until it was rather late. Only able to martial a handful of enforcers to defend the Wright manor.
  32.
  33. It was not enough however. Magnus and his rebel army descended upon a dozen veteran enforcers at most, a handful of Homonculi servants and most of the wright family. While a good few of the rebels numbers were killed, the enforcers and manor became overran and overwhelmed. The Enforcers each died a horrible and bloody death, especially the ones who Magnus recognized as the attackers during the tragedy of Westpoint. The Homonculi were killed with some level of mercy, merely being servants. Every Wright in the manner however had their crimes as mages brought before them and were each killed in a manner befitting of the crime. Most died awfully horrible and violent deaths, torn limb from limb. Others were fed to rabid dogs and undead. His sister and her child who had done no wrong or crime against other Magus or Mundanes were sparred in the place of an offering and a curse that forced them to abandon their names and live normal lives. She offered him information of the future about a coming grail war and a rusted dagger that was to be used as a summoning foci for it as the wrights planned to participate in it. The bloodline had to die and with her and with most of the children's demise, Magnus threw away the family name and began calling himself Magnus the Dark Knight.
  34.
  35. -Part 5: The Chaos of War-
  36. Setting the ancestral home to the torch and letting only one of the Homonculi servants live, word of his victory and the utter defeat of the society spread like wildfire and Magus families across the US who had previously refused Magnus support had flocked to him with all the support he could ask for. The final part of the revolution had to wait however. The grail war was more important than the rebellion and his victory abroad with a wish of power to give him the strength to see his rebellion to fruition is what he needed over numbers and supporters.
  37.
  38. He began making preparation, plans to send Homonculi reinforcements to him in time and to distract enforcers and the society long enough to allow him a chance at victory in the war if he was selected to participate. The rumors that they circulated put him in the Western mountains of Colorado, gathering a large army of Homonculi for something big. Its a ruse however, with a token force left to distract other Magus and Enforcers who head that way. In truth by the time they are making preparations to head out into the wilds searching for him, he will have already moved on with whatever plans they had put into motion.
  39.
  40. Taking a handful of his best men and doing some ground work about locations near the supposed site of the grail war, he moves out with the promise of Homonculi being sent later to aid him. The grail war was the last step to ensuring total victory for his rebellion and if he could just make that last arduous step to it, he would be free from the specters of death that haunt him for revenge. The dead demand tribute in absolution and victory bringing meaning to their deaths. Throwing off the shroud of the society that covers humanity will be this true and final victory for the rebellion.

  48. Ethnicity: Caucasian/Asian mix. (First generation)

  50. ---Personality---
  51. Whatever vestiges of humanity within him are gone. In order to kill a beast, he became a beast himself and slaughters and murders Magus associated with or who still believe in the society to his heart's content. He wasn't simply content with killing them either but turned on his own family and killed every single one of them except for his sister and her child who he sparred at the Ancestral home.
  52.
  53. He is a jaded and cruel individual towards his enemies. A easy death is something they do not deserve. The specters of death demand suffering and he plans to exact painful and bloody vengeance upon every last enemy of the rebellion if he can. To his allies, he comes off as intimidating and overbearing, but beneath that facade is a very dedicated and caring, albeit disillusioned individual that has come to terms with the idea that for him to help others, he will have to hurt alot of people if he is going to throw the shackles of the mages society off permanently.

  55. ---Appearance---

  57. while on the physical surface, his scared lip and the eyepatch show some extent of dammage from battle, what is beneath his cloths and armor is another thing entirely, with dozens upon dozens of scars and healed bullet wounds which do not do much to add to his rather muscular physique. He is still very into his prime despite his harsh time as an insurgent on the run.
  58.
  59. He tends to enjoy red, purple and black colors in his wardrobe for the most part and wears some light plate armor with minor enchantments to help with defense. They wont do nothing against a servant or a powerful caster, but will stand up to punishment against lesser minions, weapons and spells. He always wears a black cloak with a bloody red cross on the back and a rose pin holding the front of it when he goes into battle, a conscious choice encouraging direct attacks on his person by making him stand out. An obvious mistake for those baited into a simple trap like that.

  95. ---Special---
  96. Magic Crest - Unique. Mage family from the America's that specialized in high mobility magics. Hence his crest allows him to use wind and teleportation magic with relative ease.
  97.
  98. Follower - Humonculi Retainers (Friendly, Ruthless, Stubborn)
  99.
  100. Wish: Power - He wishes for the power to deify himself as a lord of rebellion and guarantee a victory for humanity. With his power, he will use it to overthrow the US government and publicly reveal the Mages Society to the rest of the world, regardless of if they want to or not, and reveal everything too. Both the good and the bad. He will replace America's Democracy with an Imperial Regime and save humanity by guiding them with his own hands while demonizing the society in the process.
  101.
  102.
  103.
  104. Intel Gathering: Magnus is designated as a very dangerous individual publicly and within the night world and for good reason. He is a talented warrior with successful campaigns against the society for many years. He is accused of the mass murder at west-point but the reality of it is that everyone there was a close and longtime friends of his so the narrative of what the Mages Society says doesn't add up to the truth of the matter.
  105.
  106. To the society he is designated as the highest of threats, just below dead apostles. His reputation isn't as fearsome to the real world but for the most part he is wanted on several lists. He is capable of handling himself in any fight and knows when to stand his ground and when to retreat. He made frequent use of guerrilla tactics with his meager forces before the massacre at the Wright Ancestral Family home which was the unusual case of brute forcing the front door down and killing everyone in a straightforward battle, one that he also distinguished himself in by fighting on the front personally if the Homonculi that survived is to be believed.
  107.
  108. His crest is one of a kind too and he can use Wind and Teleportation Magecraft without any command words. His fighting style is also unpredictable, fluid and highly adaptable. Greater Enforcers and Magus have fallen to him in very violent and bloody fashions and surviving westpoint has only made him considerably stronger in the many years since his last active action of rebellion.
