- It's been quite a while since Kilanjo left Wychwood. But the longer he stayed there. The more likely he was going to be assassinated.
- Giving it three months time. The blue Ookami finally fled Wychwood to head south. Perhaps Nostvale maybe? But the only thing about going there was that there might just be a bounty on his head that he didn't know about.
- After all, he was the one that prevented Mayln's kidnapping.
- Now, Kilanjo was standing infront of the border of Nostvale. Staring up at the flags that were placed up against the walls.
- (Kilanjo)
- It was uncommon for the doctor to leave the city without at least an assistant with her, but then again, she had proven time and time again to be more than competent by herself. What was Charlie doing? Taking some fresh air from the depravity riddled Nostvale of course. Thoughts on her next, large scale project would come to be. And so far, it looked rather terrifying.
- And from the distance, approaching the Nostvalian dominated border would be a blue Ookami. That was strange, most of them would be executed on sight for entering these grounds. The doctor squinted, expecting some sort of ploy, but her sound magic wouldn't pick up on any other presence other than this one.
- What he carried would be difficult to analyze, but the closer he got, the clearer just who he was became. Kilanjo, the Ookami who had crossed blades with Nostvale affiliated individuals who so happened to assist Dumuzid. Known to also hold a peculiar item that had belonged to Valora and was conveted by Charlie's ex-associate, Elizabeth.
- "I'm assuming you're lost, pal."
- Eyes fixed the barely younger male, scrutinizing his being before fixating his eyes. Arms were crossed, though hands not far from grasping the sheathed Wolfsbane. The Ookami could almost hear the sword call for him, even if Saekenis worthsipper. The cries of Asena's messenger, but a light echo in the breeze.
- (Charlie Avaline)
- Looks like wherevere Kilanjo had went, trouble followed.
- As the Ookami continued to stare at the walls of Nostvale, had soon begun to lost hope of ever residing in such a city that he had fought against. Even though that he was never on the rebellious group that hid away in the safety of Wychwood. Kilanjo has never considered himself being apart of them. Hell, even their group leader Lara didn't like him at all. Deeming him too unsafe for the camp. Which later on listed him to his own death bed as assassins were sent after him day and night. The crazed thought of ever returning to his home was insane.
- But an even crazier one was thinking that he should even be around these parts. Wasn't there supposed to be guards around here?
- A sigh escaped his lips as he prepared to turn himself around. Thinking that he should be able to gain some leverage by disappearing for an odd amount of years to only return back stronger than ever.
- But it would seem that he wouldn't be able to even start that goal as a voice called out after him.
- Kilanjo froze halfway as his body was turned away from the walls. Soon to let out another sigh. The Ookami spun on his hells to look out towards the feminie figure who stood a couple of metters away, if not yards.
- His Crimson eyes fixed on her apperance as it would seem that she was calling out to him. That something was giving him a feeling to reach out now and grab it.
- The strong but irresitable urge drove him to teleport straight infront of the woman, soon standing before her.
- Staring her dead in her eyes as silence would follow.
- It was only then that the urge that he was feeling wasn't her, herself. Yet a sword that she wielded. Which surprisingly made his eyes widened that someone from a far place from Wychwood would have such a weapon to call out Ookami.
- A now-calm expression covered his face as a sly smile slid across his lips.
- " Just who are you? " he quizzed
- (Kilanjo)
- Looks like she did manage to get his attention. Was he dangerous? Considering what's been said, most likely. But so far, no signs of a particularly strong blade. No, he actually didn't seem as dangerous as some may expect, but even so, Charlie was always ready to cut him down in things were to go a little sour.
- A question was thrown her way, one that didn't leave her stunned or impressed. Her eyesbrows rose before furrowing, for she tried to assess what she could out of this guy.
- "Doctor Charlie Avaline. I don't know your name, but I know of a certain blue, violent Ookami vandalizing a certain important someone from New Alteros."
- There was no mistakening it, his gaze was all too similar to Elizabeth's, a trait to be expected from that blade. But even so, nothing was confirmed. It could be a coincidence? Perhaps this individual could clearify a few things. But one point was for certain, he was suspicious to her.
- "Now I have no idea what the fuck an Ookami spawning out of the west would even want to be around these parts. But I have to admit, it does warrant some mighty balls."
- Her should would lean against the wall on her right, eyes still completely glued to the peculiar Ookami before her.
- (Charlie Avaline)
- A frown was placed upon his lips as he stared Charlie in her eyes.
- But the Ookami would go on to ignore her statement and continue on with a much . . . . friendlier topic.
- " Doctor Charlie Avaline? Such a regal name. " he suggested as he felt that he was bound to piss off the doctor by not answering what she had previously said.
- " I guess news does spread fast. If that's so, I might aswell tell you my name. "
- " Kilanjo, Kilanjo is the name, and I have no connections with the west as far as I'm concerned. " he stated truthfully as he dared Charlie with his eyes to rebel against his statement.
- " I'm not to familiar with these parts but I'm just going to go out on a limb here. That maybe. Just maybe. That on the other side of these walls. I feel that there is just a hint of racism against my kind. . . No. . actually alot . " he said with a smirk.
- His eyes never wavered a bit from Charlie's stare as he went on with what he had to say to her. Not caring for the real consequences if there was any to begin with
- (Kilanjo)
- "Oh, just a little, Kilanjo."
- The sarcasm went both ways, even with the gesture of her index and thumb displaying a minuscule gap between the tips. But nonetheless, the name indeed resonated in her mind. The man who had be involved in the war and was likely the one who had a not-so great encounter with the princess of New Alteros.
- "So if you're not a rebel, what are you? From what I understand, you assisted in the war effort when that mass of electricity assaulted the land."
- Eyes narrowed, skepticism a galore. The guy was clearly not to be trusted, even if his intentions were not hostile. Then again, she could also understand why he'd seek to escape the degeneracy of the west, considering she herself could not bear to ctoninue her investment efforts in that area.
- "Tell me, Kilanjo, have you recently been around a potential tool of vampiric origins? And I do mean any, for there are two that have been taken into the Ookami side. And honestly, it leaves me a bit queasy to know they're in their incompetent hands."
- She'd take a step forward, barely a meter separating the two shady individuals. Arms remained crossed in a defensive manner, but her glance was definitely piercing his very soul.
- (Charlie Avaline)
- Kilanjo bursted out with a sharp laugh due to her response about the racism that Nostvale has against Ookami's.
- " Funny. . ." he retorted.
- Reaching up above his head with both arms. Kilanjo clasped one hand into the other and begun to stretch as he felt that this conversation was about to be long, and if not. It could get wild.
- " From what I understand. You weren't in the war. So how could you possibly know who is who? There's a multitude of Ookami within Wychwood, whose furs very in color in multiple different ways. But here you assume that I am the one who assisted in the war assaulted the land?" Kilanjo shot back at her.
- The Ookami would then walk away for two footsteps, the circle back towards Charlie.
- " Well your right. I am that Ookami, Just because I fought for one side doesn't mean that I'm with them y'know."
- Narrowing in his eyes in on her as he now stood toe to toe with Charlie.
- " When you have someone you care about. You'd do anything to protect them right?" he questioned her in a serious but low tone.
- " Heh. . . " he commented before backing off and giving Charlie her space once more.
- " Yeah, one wielded by a Drakanite called Pale Dragon. What of it?" he quizzed. Kilanjo hadn't been lying as it was the truth.
- " Is it incompetent because we are Ookami?" he riddled.
- BOOM!
- The feral Ookami would feel a slight chill, looking over out towards the direction of the citadel as if he knew that something was going on.
- (Kilanjo)
- What a familiar feeling that oozed in the air. How vile it was, it could really be only one entity ...
- She shook her head, there was a pressing matter presented before her, and she just had to handle it.
- "But only one can have that dreadful glance of yours. And there so happens to be a little, evil fairy that enjoys hanging around this gloomy city."
- She'd smirk, arms loosening up as they tackled the more interesting subject at hand: Sanglamore. Whether he'd admit to holding the nail or not wouldn't be an issue, for now. The query of the blade's whereabouts intrigued her more, as it held a lot more value in the long run.
- "Sanglamore, yes. Held by Rheagul. He's supposed to deliver it to me, as it belonged to my close associate. But, according to another one of my associates, he would rather hoard it and wait for Nostvale to take it from him."
- A scowl took shape in her visage. The doctor was certainly annoyed to mention these points.
- "Fair enough on the account of you participating in the war, but you won't be welcomed here, at least not without something to offer. As much as I empathize with your reasons, I wouldn't trust you either."
- She shrugged, eyes only closing ofr a split second, though never would she let go of the furry male, even as he paced along.
- "And, it is incompetent because of the Ookami leadership, yes. Disgustingly so. But, assuming you've associated with the camp, I suppose you've heard from me, haven't you?"
- (Charlie Avaline)
- A chuckle had escaped Kilanjo's lips as Charlie had reminded him about a specific fairy that a Kaor and him had defeated. It was a crazy thought but it seemed that Charlie had won any whatsoever leverage on their talk. Putting Kilanjo down as he knew that if that specific fairy saw him within Nostvale. That he would certianly be a dead man.
- Crossing his arms, the Ookami listened into what Charlie ahd to say about the matter. As it truly was more interesting as he didn't even know the title of the weapon that Rheagul held. It was even more surprising that Charlie revealed that the Drakanite was supposed to deliever it to her. Meaning that he has connections to Nostvale and could be a spy. The only problem was that she didn't go to far into detail as she mentioned the others as 'associates'.
- Making Kilanjo wrinkle his face as he realized that Lara had no clue. Which ended up for him having a sadistic grin as he imagined Lara lying dead at the hands of Charlie wielding Sanglamore. That is. . . if the doctor fights.
- Blinking rapidly for a few seconds to get out of his day dream. The doctor seemed to understand his reason for participating in the war. But he still wasn't welcomed. Which he knew that it wasn't going to be that easy to enter Nostvale anyhow. But the fact that she wouldn't trust him? How dare she!
- But then again, Kilanjo wouldn't trust himself either.
- Shrugging that thought off, he continued to listen to Charlie. Only to realize that they did have a thing against his kind. Which did bother him a tiny bit. Tiny enough to drown some random guy into the waters outside of Nostvale at this second. . . .
- " I wouldn't say associated" he replied giving her a dull stare.
- " and no. I have not, but its pretty cool that you know of me" he retorted with a devilish smirk. Implying how he was able to get his name around the country and her's not even able to reach the savage Saekanis Worshippers ears until now.
- (Kilanjo)
- By his uncertain expression, she could tell that something had struck him at the mention of that particular being. It wasn't only that, it was a known fact that Berehinya had allied with the Ookami and had been along side a blue haired one with a distinct look. One that looked all too much like her associate's.
- "When you start to mess with bigger people, you get a little notorious."
- She'd grin, leaning forward somewhat as if she were about to whisper something to him. While her tone would be lowered, it wasn't whispering. No one was close enough to hear it, of course.
- "I mean, I know but of one blue haired, dead eyed Ookami with a particular taste for violence. Which begs the question of the second weapon that has fallen in the hands of the Ookami."
- Her body stiffened, her blue eyes scanning the opposing man's once more. Her chin now held high, she indeed felt like this was the guy. But still, he did have a point on their abundance. There was just only a select few who could take on a Princess of New Alteros, however.
- "Do you know where it may be, Kilanjo? Cooperation with the right people could insure a safe haven for you, you know? I can assure you, the mercenary types like you don't blend in well with the Nostvale crowd, so I suggest you choose your allies wisely."
- (Charlie Avaline)
- Her appearance is not something particularly spectacular. Just a simple swoop from the walls of Nostvale itself and a long glide to come upon the little scene that she makes easy lightning quick time to, a landing off to the side of them, and a proud bearing of wings. It's nice, to not be sick, not feel like ass, but also slightly maybe just a little bit feel like she has to avoid the house for a bit. No reason, though! No reason.
- No, she doesn't hear what they're talking about(aside Charlie's last little bit which will come up), but. As seen by Alia's abrupt incursion in the meeting the lot of them had with particular people just the other day, she's less and less seeming shy about inserting herself into more potentially serious matters..
- "Mom! Please. There's like, no herbs around here. If you have to run off for a secret rendezvous~ I'm not gonna tell. Just give me a heads up on how long you're actually gonna be. I still need help with that rune stuff for the thing I'm working on." She grins, something bright and playful, and puts a finger to her lips before darting her eyes to the blue Ookami. Eh. Not that cute. She could do better. But, to each their own.
- (Alia Uniana)
- Kilanjo was always a fool when it came to women.
- The Ookami began to look over Charlie as he was mostly interested in her sword than the anything else. But it did seem as if the situation was about to reach it's climax. That is if there was one in the first place. He needed to stay ontop of things. Or better yet. Her.
- Listening to what she had to say about reputation when someone messes with a larger figure. She would further push onto the topic about the vampric sword that Elizabeth had trusted him with herself. Which made him smile fool-hardly as she seemed to have him dead on the point.
- Blue haired, dead eyed, taste for violence. Man, she could hit the lotto and win as she seemed to sum him up perfectly.
- She then tilted her chin up towards him as her body tensed up. Silence followed for a couple of seconds before she continued on.
- But her words weren't the exact ones to catch on to him. Kilanjo frowned as he reached out to pat her on the head. But then adjusted his aim for her shoulder and clasped it bringing her closer than before. To close in a matter of fact as he pulled her to his ear.
- " Yor going to have to try harder than that hun. " he whispered before rubbing her back and letting her go.
- But he didn't dare to take any steps back away from her to show weakness. It wasn't in his personality to think about situations. Just act, so that he had done.
- " The blade is within Wychwood. Another was more persuading. . . . and got their hands on it y'see. "
- Soon to jam his hands in his pockets. He stood back as he readied himself for what was next to come. Which just so happened to be a drakanite sailing down from the sky to land infront of the two.
- The little kid exploded with words as he sat back with a smirk.
- Kiddos always seemed to amuse him, it was only then she finally stopped to observe himself as Kilanjo winked towards her for the hell of it.
- But took a split second to dart his eyes in Charlie's way. Now knowing that there was a weak spot in her life, and that weak spot just so happened to glide down from the sky.
- (Kilanjo)
- And suddenly, Alia came to be! This was both a good and bad thing. Good because, well, being out here wasn't the best, and bad because she technically risked herself. Nonetheless, it did not seem like there was much danger as a duo against a single Ookami, which set aside many more extreme risks.
- "Alia, sweetie! Errr, yeah, lemme just handle the mister he- ..."
- A hand approached, and that was a BIG no-no. His wrist would be clenched by Charlie's merciless grip before being pushed back. There was no way she'd let him get his way with her. And of course, this news of him. The second blade was also given away to another degenerate of the Wychwood.
- "Who has it now? Why did you give it to them?"
- Her eyebrows furrowed, visibly extremely unhappy with this sudden news. She seemed just ready to pounce him and rip the man to shreds for acting in such a cocky manner. But, she had to stay civil. He had relevant items that could make a difference to this world's climate.
- "I could beat you down, here and now, but let's keep this diplomatic. A little noise, and you'll be executed immediately by my father. I would recommend avoiding that. So ... I'll ask again. Who wields the second weapon?"
- (Charlie Avaline)
- Alia became to be quite suddenly indeed! And yes, yes. Despite Charlie's desperate attempts ot hide the affection she clearly desires ot the corest of her being from this strange man, with hert constantly absentee husband, it does not fool Alia in the slightest. This is no doubt a saucey, downright debaucherous affair in progress.
- And Alia is going to be entirely silent on the matter, because Charlie has always been polite enough to call her on the fact that she hasn't slept in her own bed in something like three years now. Fair trade, the thinks! or well, it seems fair enough, until the tone shifts, and all of Alia's scandalous inceptive to keep quiet is thrown out the window, becuase this is tragically enough NOT a forbidden meeting between secret lovers. Again, good. Charlie could do better than this trying-too-hard-to-be-scary-looking dude. Tradtional cuteness is far and superior in every way. At least mom's capable of both at the same time. But enough about how everyone in her family is fucking gorgeous.
- "Wait, huh? Alright. But I'm not goin' anywhere." A deep breath in, and steam in a little playful jet blown out, not literally but just because it looks like smoke, helps her idle herself out. She abruptly plops down on her butt, spreads her wings wide, and props her hands back to hold herself upright. Suppose she'll just watch things unfold, be a bit of unspoken backup, should it ever be necessary. Unlikely. Charlie alone was fiersome as hell. Kicked Ophrem's butt, who'd kicked her butt. But that was long ago, and the gap was closing. Maybe she should ask Charlie to spar sometime? A good thought to keep her distracted.
- (Alia Uniana)
- There was just a moment where the girl had to close her eyes solemnly. Now she realized that something was off. Lei'la's occultism, like most yokai was jus-- no. . This seemed potent. A lot more than how she saw Squiggles use occultism. And the Umbral said they had just transformed. . Good god, this was going to be a fight that Phoebe really had to go all out for.
- At least that was how she was seeing it for now. Slowly, yet surely, the occultic flames would draw out of her body and dance around her frame. Potent dark flames that licked off the surface of the ground whilst she would grip onto the blade rather tightly with a calm look on her face. Suddenly, the yokai had begun to slowly emerge as a means to help the stronger yokai.
- The grip on the blade was tight as she would motion into a stance, "Keep focus on the middle, that's the way." Phoebe spoke to herself as she was not really focusing on the future of things. If anything, this would have made good practice for her if she had to one day fight Squiggles as well! But for now, the young teen would nod as she would bend her knees and quickly push off towards the yokai!
- "Here I come then. .!" Phoebe exclaimed, the dark flames dancing behind her, leaving a trail of lingering embers.
- (Phoebe du Lac)
- It was quite strange as he saw Charlie go from one second of pure glee by talking to her daughter, to full out straight killer when he mentioned that someone else might have the other sword known as Mammon's Nail.
- The pressure he felt as she clamped down on his wrist was something that he snickered at. As it gave him a tight squeeze, but it did nothing in the harming department.
- Charlie would go ahead and then give him an earfull as it appeared that she wasn't quite pleased towards his news before bringing it back to a diplomatic level.
- With a hint of a threat.
- Which Kilanjo could do nothing more than smirk at.
- " You done?" the Ookami retorted.
- " Your not putting yourself on a good position here " he said as he shook his head from one side to the other
- " You can so called ' beat-me-down'. Then execute me if that chance ever comes. But what happens then. How will that increase your chances of getting the sword in your hands?" he quizzed.
- He honestly wanted to know as their was a hint of him teasing her.
- " . . . . . . An Ookami that you probabbbbly know in Wychwood" he finally answered with a slight smile, finally answering Charlie's question
- (Kilanjo)
- Oh, now he was just pushing it. Teeth clenched with the first words he uttered and head slightly tilted. The glare was lethal, but she seemed to restrain herself rather well. Nonetheless, hopefully he'd get the message of toning down the cockiness.
- "Not a good position, you say?"
- Suddenly, her posture loosened, head dropping somewhat with her gaze moving downwards. Her hand rose in surrended, conceding that this was going a bit far. Overall, she tried to calm the current game, to keep things diplomatic as she had said. Though her next words would put into question her more relaxed demeanor.
- "You're right, let's not talk about dead."
- A passive, almost submissive tone coupled with a nod.
- "I'll be honest, I'mm far too creative to indulge in killing you. No, Kilanjo, I'm known as a particularly efficient doctor AND alchemist for a reason. Once I beat you down, I could melt your brain and make you cough out what I want to know. Of course, you seem like a reasonable man, and extreme measures are never the BEST solution."
- An eloquent tone with the fluidity of someone in absolute peace with their mindset. Her gaze was slightly dull, but focused on the man before her. Hands clasped together and lifed to her chest.
- "Now ... Could I please know the identity of the one who wields the second blade?"
- (Charlie Avaline)
- Phoebe had been rather. . well, not distant, but she had been seemingly in a fight for the moment. It wasn't as serious as the fight she would have had before the last one, but she was still messed up slightly. Scratches, and some bruises, cuts across her cheek and shoulder. Yup, spars were something that she was still trying to get used to! Even though she didn't know if the fight she was in was a spar or a fight, but considering she came out of it in one piece, it seemed more like a spar.
- As she was walking towards the Nostvale entrance, she would notice her mother and then an odd blue haired stranger that seemed to be around, "Huh? Hi, mommy!" Phoebe exclaimed, wincing a bit as she would look at the wounds slowly around her body. God, she did look awful. Not too awful, but as awful as awful can be right now. With that, said, she tried to hide the glory wounds that she had with her already cut up jacket.
- . . Yeah, taht was not saving her. She looked at Kilanjo with a bit of a confused expression on her face that screamed 'What is going on?' She always does that when mom was around company anyway, "Huh. Hiya too! Uhh, mom is he a patient of yours too!?" Phoebe asked, albeit dumbfoundedly. She really should learn to assess situations before she actually talked, but. . No one was stopping her!~
- (Phoebe du Lac)
- It was clear that the blue Ookami had pissed off Charlie to a certain extent as the doctor herself acting out in an agitated way before she calmed her posture to gain better control in the situation.
- Which disappointed Kilanjo as he wanted to throw the doctor off balance, see how low they can really go in Nostvale. Compare it to Wychwood to actually figure out who the real bad guys are. But in the end, his smirk faded away to a frown as it would seem that Charlie composed herself not to go that far.
- Well, that thought only lasted a hot minute before Charlie went about how she could force anything out of him if she truly wanted to. Which Kilanjo shrugged at. She could try it. But would it actually work.
- "You know, your appearance decieves the eye Charlie. It truly does " he proclaimed as he rolled his neck around, cracking it twice, before returning his focus to her.
- The Ookami would then crouch low to a fault. Staying on his toes, he looked up at Charlie.
- " I guess you can say, this is how you feel? Me so low and you so high?" he spoke.
- " The way your asking me to reveal who has Mammon's Nail is giving me quite alot of loopholes to avoid that question y'know. . . . anyways. By now. " he dared to point a finger in Charlie's direction.
- " It could be in anyone's hand at that camp. "
- The Ookami would then stand up to regain his previvous ground incase Charlie tried something while he was down.
- " Just because you were friends with Elizabeth isn't a good enough reason why you should be the wielder of the blade now. It's also another reason why I'm not on my way over there to go find out who truly has it. " he pointed out bluntly
- Now clasping his hands behind his back before pacing around, he questioned her.
- " I know I've kept this going on for quite a while. But please, tell me why you deserve that blade?"
- The blue ookami stopped his movement as he now faced Charlie with quite a wicked grin. It was true that he was as chaotic as they came. But there wasn't anything more of entertaining than watching someone lose their mind.
- That was exactly when a small girl popped up out of the blue and questioned Kilanjo. Which he turned to her with the same grin.
- " Hello kiddo, Nothing bad is going on here so you don't have to worry. It's just business talk "
- (Kilanjo)
- Oh boy, here we go. The 'circle' phase. She had to break this ever lasting spinning of the subject. Kilanjo could lead her anywhere he wanted if she'd let that happen. This will not be the case. Her gaze was solemn, almost intimidating to those who already found her scary.
- But then Phoebe would join the fray, and in a rather nasty condition too. Concerned, the doctor would focus on her for a bit and inquire.
- "Hi sweetie! ... Are you .. Okay?"
- She asked, eyes narrowing at the wounds she had accumulated. Nothing too severe, but she remained worried for her child. Kilanjo ended up answering, and the doctor would add.
- "Maybe he will be a patient soon enough."
- In turn, she'd spin her neck the same way he did. He wanted to play ball? Fine, but she did have all the advantages she needed.
- "Listen, Kilanjo. You're in a position where you have everything to gain by cooperating with me. I swear, I can provide on the spot, something that could fix your ... Notoriety issues."
- She'd smirk.
- "But do not downplay my position. If I so desire, we can end this, and Nostvale will pursue you"
- Hands set themselves on her hips as her spine would be stretched somewhat with her abdominal muscles flexed.
- "As for why I should wield it ... Moreso I believe I can make great use of it. I do not speak of actually wielding it, but using it to create something far more ... Useful in today's climate. If you ask me what, I'll simply say that the imagination is the limit when it comes to my practices."
- "But I'm fairly certain you know who wields it. There is absolutely no way nature wouldn't have killed you by now if you were stupid enough to give it over to someone who'd probably lose it. No ... You know exactly where it is."
- Eyes narrowed, a satisfied grin on her face.
- (Charlie Avaline)
- 'Maybe he will be a patient soon enough? Ha!' Kilanjo thought as he stood back. The Ookami hadn't once found her the lest bit of intimidating
- " You know Charile. Your pretty wise on your own terms. But how do I know that your being honest with me. You say that if I cooperate with you. That it could fix my 'Notoriety issues'. But what if it doesn't? What if your lying to me? After all, 'there is a certain fairy that roams around this gloomy city who just so happens to have a thing for this blue Ookami'."
- " Your words "
- Now frowning.
- " I don't see how this is going to work out for me at all." he said crossing his arms.
- Kilanjo then looked out towards the water that rested against the walls.
- " All I see is how the information about this sword is keeping me alive. Not to mention the guards that guard these very walls. . . . ."
- " So help me help you. "
- Returning his atttention back to the Doctor.
- " How do I know that someone like you will up hold their part of the bargain? After all. You seem to be pretty famous if you thought that I heard about you from Wychwood. "
- (Kilanjo)
- "I haven't killed you yet, haven't I?"
- She rose a brow, quickly displaying her side of the argument and trying to slowly brush away the doubts in his mind.
- "It'd be much easier if I just took you and damaged your brain just enough to remove the YOU from there, and turn you into a vegetable."
- An easy feat, once one was stripped of their mana and submitted to such a precise medical intervention. It wasn't as easy as she said, but it'd certainly tie all loose ends.
- "Not to mention, I could also give you to the Marshal and get myself a nifty prize, PLUS get your sword if you so happen to hide it from me."
- She chuckled, but only to be followed with a calm, elongated sigh. Her arms crossed again, she did not seem to relish in these sadistic threats that were so easy to exact on the spot.
- "But no. I do not wish to destroy you. Quite the contrary, I believe you to be resourceful, and we could help each other in the long run. I do not know of your objectives, but I HIGHLY doubt my abilities cannot aid you."
- Her neck cracked again, as she finished.
- "As for how you could possibly help me beyond the sword? Well ... I think your origins are already a great start."
- (Charlie Avaline)
- Phoebe was just listening intently for a moment, whilst thinking on what she should really do to bide her time. She could read momentarilly whilst this talk was going on about a sword, but she did want to add her small piece to the mix right now. Even it it probably wouldn't amount to much of anything, "I don't really understand this. ." Phoebe said, poking her cheek for a moment.
- "I mean. . The sword mom is asking for is like. . sentimental, right?" Phoebe asked, as she would find it more suitable to hand something over with a sentimental value attached to it. It seemed more valuable than anything else, really, "I mean, if it's sentimental, wouldn't it be okay to hand it over or something? Plus. . " Whether it is sentimental or not, her mother was never really someone to go back on their word.
- "Mom doesn't lie! I doubt she would go back on her word." She was lowkey trying to be the mediator for both her mother and Kilanjo, but mostly for her mother's sake. . . But before she could allow much of a response to happen, she would remove the black book in her bag and flip through it at the moment. She was reading through 'containment' runewriting, 'conjoining' runewriting, and 'ritualistic' runewriting. She wasn't practicing them, but she was just reading about it.
- "It's. . erm. . Just my two cents! Yeah. Don't mind me. Don't know much about business. . ~" Phoebe said, rubbing the back of her head with a free hand, "And I'm fine mom! Just a few cuts here and there, but fine!" Phoebe said with a light hearted nod. She did mean no ill will towards their deal. But hey!
- (Phoebe du Lac)
- The Ookami shrugged as Charlie had a point. All the statements and points that she made clear were true and struck true.
- Clearly having her win over the conversation. One thing that he liked most about people was their sadistic nature. Which Charlie had seemed to have due to the way she threatened.
- What even added to the doctors side was her daughter.
- ' It seems like you have to give up Kil, you ain't winning this one' he thought
- With a sigh. He acknowledged defeat.
- Raising his head up to face Charlie, he gave her his response.
- " Alright, you drive a hard bargin. You win. "
- " I still have the sword "
- (Kilanjo)
- How adorable Phoebe was in this whole ordeal. It won her quite the lovely beam from her mother alright. But the same would be given to the Ookami. She was pleased to see a more relaxed demeanor in him, one that showed defeat. Her grin was no longer cocky or anything of the sort, simply excited, curious.
- "Ahhh, so you do have the sword~ I will correct my daughter and say I am not above lying."
- Her grin vanished for a second, as if breaking an unfortunate piece of news.
- "BUT! Only to assholes who take me for an idiot~ And, well, you came clean. So, no point in being dishonest, right?"
- She'd chuckle, blue eyes now scanning his being, just hoping to catch a glimpse of the katana.
- "Mmmmm ... Well, if it makes you feel better before showing me the blade, I can promise you that I can change your physiology to be ... Unrecognizeable. But, I'll need extra work on hiding your mana from those who know it. But, what matters is really whether someone recognizes you, correct?"
- "Without any issue, I can produce a potion that could alter your entire being. It may very well switch your gender, but that's very seconday when starting over, right? Plus, only temporary, as I can eventually make something to just alter you!"
- Her hands clampsed together once more, she'd grin.
- "So! The sword, may I see it?"
- (Charlie Avaline)
- Was her mother above lying? Well, considering that she said 'only to assholes'. . Well, Phoebe could accept that all in all. It's not like she said, she always lied. . Then Phoebe would have to keep asking her mother if she was telling the truth over a lot of things each time she gave Phoebe a promise. But for now, she would let that piece of information go!
- "Ah? Wait, so he was lyi-- ah. . I guess it doesn't matter now. ." Phoebe said, puffing her cheeks out as she folded her arms a bit comedically huffing a bit of breath out. At least she did some kind of good instead of just being a pretty face in this entire ordeal. Maybe she should be there to help her mom more in these dealings. It seemed like something that would prove to be a good thing after all!
- "Wha'? Change him from a boy to a girl?" Was that even a thing? Rather, how was that even possib-- oh right.. alchemy. She did a little bit of it, but it completely slipped her mind entirely. She prodded her cheek a bit before heaving a light hearted sigh, "I'mma. .I'mma just be quiet now. . And read my book! Yeah." Good idea. She was probably going to wound up being a nervous wreck if she overthought it a bit too much and that just won't do now would it?!
- (Phoebe du Lac)
- A frown was placed upon his face as Charlie had seemed to contradict her daughters statement.
- So was he being crossed?
- Her cocky grin told him that, the Ookami just looked at Charlie as if she had really meant it. But it didn't truly come to a shock to him as he would probably do the same. There was absoultely no reason for her to keep him alive now knowing that he had the sword.
- Kilanjo was prepared to extend his claws just as her grin disappered. Causing him to pause as he grew curious as to what she was doing now. Weren't they supposed to fight now?
- But no, it seemed that she wasn't lying to him after all as she started to form plans that would make him unrecognizable. Which was the first time that he had felt real fear in his life as she mentioned him turning into the opposite sex.
- Then the question to see the blade.
- " First, if I go through with this. Try not to make me into a woman? No offense but I like to be on top. " he said. But quickly noticed how there was a child around.
- ' Dam you fucked up' he thought to himself. Shrugging it off quickly as she was bound to know what happens behind closed doors. Or out in the open. However one liked it.
- It didn't come to be surprising as the little girl was shocked about the gender changing thing too. It was surprising really.
- " Hold on for a second.. . . . "
- Kilanjo would say for a second before his image seemed to fade away from the eyes of anyone in the area.
- A solid minute would pass by before Kilanjo reappeared in the same spot with the sword in his hands. Feeling as if he was making a big mistake.
- " Here it is. . . . " Kilanjo said as he grabbed the sword, leaving it in its scabbard and rasing it for Charlie too see.
- But he did not let go. . . .
- (Kilanjo)
- Phoebe was left somewhat confused, but Kilanjo's expression seemed to react negatively to Charlie's burst of honesty. Was it badly placed? Perhaps, but she liked to come clean with people she'd do business with. It didn't matter, in the end, she had indeed established herself as someone who could have very well finished himhere and there and get what she wanted.
- "I'll be using that alternative for only a couple of years. You'll at least get to realize some sick fantasy or two ..."
- She chuckled, although a bit forced.
- "But believe me, you'd rather be a woman than ... You right now. Eventually I'll have a physical alteration potion ready for you. It'll be strong enough to fool most people. So don't attracted almighty observants toward you and you should be fine."
- She explained, arms crossed. The man had signaled that he'd vanish for a small period of time, letting the doctor wait patiently. A minute felt like an hour, however, as she'd finally see the man remerge. Quite the nifty trick, similar to her capabilities.
- Her hand raising for her tips to gently caress the sheath of the blade. She could feel it, the bloodlust, the depravity. All too similar to Elizabeth's sword, albeit weaker, but perhaps a little more captivating. A fine piece of work indeed.
- "My my ... A wonderful blade. I can only imagine how beautiful it is unsheathed. Heh. I offer you the chance of a new life for this sword. As well as ... Well, perhaps some opportunities that would benefit you greatly in the long run. I am a businesswoman and a doctor, after all."
- (Charlie Avaline)
- Kilanjo frowned. Now knowning that he let go of the sword. It seemed that he couldn't possibly do so.
- As much as he wanted to hand it over to Charlie. The mere fact of having a woman of such capabilities hold on to such a weapon that brought the worse out of your made him smile inside. The things that she could do with this blade that he probably couldn't. As long as he had been with the sword. She probably knew something about it that he didn't which made it all the more tempting to see what kind of havoc she could cause with it.
- But as Kilanjo began to form the words ' Why don't you take it out yourself'
- His body had seemed unwilling to release the hilt of the weapon to give it over to Charlie.
- It was one of the major con's of having the sword.
- It was nearly impossible to let go and give it to another, the only way to give it up was to be physically unable to be able to wield it anymore or for his hand to be seperated from his body. Surely Charlie would figure this out after a while as he held it out and looked at it. Remembering the curse to the blade
- (Kilanjo)
- What was this? He didn't even talk. He was just stuck, his expression seeming also completely disconnected from his adamant body. Her eyes narrowed at first, thinking he was pulling a ploy of some sort. It'd only be by having her blue optics scan just how tense his hands were that she'd notice how unnatural his behavior was.
- It didn't take a genius to piece two and two together. The sword's mesmerizing influences could be felt even then. He was enveloped in its effects, which made the woman dread it a little more. But, she had worked too far to just give up now.
- "You're captured by its seductive effects, aren't you?"
- She mumbled, feeling it as well. How vile, how disgusting. Such an amazing tool, how she wanted to examine it, to study it. Her other, bandaged hand would come to slowly set itself onto the Ookami's. The one that clenched the sheath. With softness worthy of a mother, she caressed the hand.
- He'd feel it go numb, not by the effects of 'love', but rather the electrical jolts she released in the process. They were weak, and affected the nerves and muscles before pain could be received. It'd go numb, if Kilanjo did nothing to resist her. If that happened, the blade would fall onto her right hand.
- "Hmmm ... I'm going to have to seal this as soon as possible before we do any examining."
- In his normally numb hand, the Ookami would find a set of keys. They seemed old, but still quite robust.
- "There's a house for sale in Nostvale, near the market. Under Brakkacia. No one owns it, you could crash there until I get the potions you need. Just ... Wear a hoodie until then. And dye your hair."
- (Charlie Avaline)
- As the Ookami had held the blade within his hand. He started feeling that it wasn't worth it. For all the safety or pleasure in the world. To let this bad boy of a weapon to be in the hands of a person that he barely knew.
- His attitude begun to change as the sword was affecting him. Depravity leaked from within his body without his say. It was as if the blade was telling him that he could fight his way out of it. Making him feel like he could.
- Kilanjo's eyes faded out. Flashing in and out. Changing from the abnormal color of bloody crimson red to an un-natural gold.
- His body would start to bulk out, Transforming as his figure was slowly transforming in a more ripped and bulkier version of how he previously was. Unknowingly he growled, revealing his razor sharp teeth. Growing in size and ferocity, alike did his claws. Black tribal tattoos of black wolves, bite and claw marks begining to riddle his body.
- But just as his transformation was about to become complete and he was seconds from releasing Mammon's Nail from its scabbard to slash at Charlie.
- His hand went numb. Dropping his hold on the blade directly into Charlie's hands.
- His soon to be transformation would suddenly fade away as quick as it had came, leaving him clueless in the mix as he stared at the blade in Charlie's possession. Clueless as to how he was able to release it to her.
- But it was quite obvious as he lowered the very hand that he had held Mammon's Nail in. Quick to find that it was numb. She must have done something in order to free his grip of the blade.
- It was then that he found out that he had keys in his hand that Charlie had given him. Keeping true to her word and giving him a set of directions. Making him nod in confusion as he couldn't exactly remember what she did to cause his hands to go numb. But perhaps it was for the better?
- " Alright?" he said in a lost tone. Feeling as if something was missing from him now as he looked at Mammon's Nail in her possession.
- (Kilanjo)
- In her hands, there it was, the dreaded Mammon's nail. The oozing depravity, the vile influences, all trying to gnaw at the curious doctor. She did not falter, the sheath had sealed most of its violent influences. Sure, it was still bad, but in no way would it affect her like it did to Kilanjo. But she knew, she knew inside there hid a monster she'd have to be prepared to confront.
- The fact that Kilanjo was devolving into a monstrous abomination of violence before her eyes with the blade presented before them was enough to warrant the utmost precaution from the scholar. Nonetheless ... She couldn't help but smile in glee as her eyes admired the beauty she had acquired.
- "Well then ... Pleasure doing business."
- Customary line, but one that wouldn't exactly conclude the deal, as the doctor noticed just how clueless the ookami looked once free of the blade. She squinted at the man, unsure as to what exactly what was going on.
- "Errr ... You okay? Look, I'll send you a letter and probably a potion to go with it when it's ready, okay? Then we can see about the appearance."
- As much as she loved to feel the blade in her hands, and simply glance at it, she'd set it in her usual duffelbag. The one she brought to collect herbs. Zipped shut, she prepared to depart with her children in tow.
- "We'll stay in touch. I'll have a few things to do and many things to discuss. You seem like a resourceful guy, so I'm sure we could figure a few things out to keep you occupied and under the radar."
- A small wink, before she'd lead the way to Nostvale. Kilanjo could run free, for now.
- (Charlie Avaline)
- Kilanjo: *Looks longingly at Charlie as she walks away*
- Alia Uniana: <*Gosh. That guy wants mom so bad...*>
