Remember, YOU CAN ONLY DOWNLOAD THE DESPECIALIZED EDITION IF YOU ARE A LEGAL OWNER OF THE OFFICIALLY AVAILABLE STAR WARS BLU-RAY DISKS. This Star Wars fan community is built on the honor system, so your word is sufficient. Simply realize that if people who don't own legal copies of the Star Wars films obtain the Despecialized Edition, it's entirely possible that the entire project would have to shut down before it's finished due to piracy allegations. So be sure to encourage people to support the Star Wars franchise and purchase the official Blu-rays!

  15. There are a few ways to obtain copies of the Despecialized Edition of Star Wars, but only a couple are trusted and verified sources.

  17. The most convenient download method is via the private torrent tracker MySpleen.org. On this site, you simple go to the Torrents page and search for "Harmy" to bring up a list of all available versions of Harmy's various projects (including, but not limited to, the Star Wars Despecialized Editions of the Original Trilogy). If you don't already have an account with that site, you'll need an invite to join. Create an account on the MySpleen Forums (http://www.myspleen.org/forums/) and post in this forum (http://www.myspleen.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=25) if you need an invite.

The recommended way to handle this download method is to use a program like JDownloader (http://jdownloader.org/), in which you'll copy and paste multiple download links at once into the program, after which the downloader automatically handles each download and combines the files once done. Unfortunately, the "official" installer of this program is infamous for having spyware and other problems bundled with it. An article on PCWorld.com (http://www.pcworld.com/article/248743/jdownloader.html) pointed out this problem, and provided a "clean" installer of the program.   100. This is a reconstruction of the 1977 theatrical version of STAR WARS. The original shots were painstakingly restored using various sources (listed below) and the film received an extensive shot by shot color correction based on a fade free 1977 I.B. Technicolor Print.

  102. The remastered version (v2.0) represented a significant improvement in picture quality over the earlier version.
  103.  
  104. Version v2.1 further improved upon the previous version mainly by refining the colour correction but also by replacing many of the despecialized shots with higher quality ones.

  106. Version v2.5 offers few more little tweaks to the picture and contains an unprecedented number of audio options.

  518. This is a reconstruction of the 1980 theatrical version of The Empire Strikes Back. The original shots were painstakingly restored using various sources (listed below) and the film received an extensive shot by shot colour correction.

  521. due to the use of better encoding and higher quality sources and replacing many of the despecialized shots with

  1008. This is a reconstruction of the 1997 Special Edition version of STAR WARS. This is a little side project to the Despecialized Edition - it uses

  1010. the Despecialized Edition v2.5 master as its main video source and puts the changes made in 1997 back in, mostly using the Blu-Ray version and in
  1011.  
  1012. case of 1997 changes, which were redone in later versions, this version combines the BD footage with Team Blu's (Dark Jedi and You_Too) 1997
  1013.  
  1014. version. The colour correction is still based on a fade free 1977 I.B. Technicolor Print, just as the 1997 version supoposedly was. The forced
  1015.  
  1016. subtitles in the Greedo scene were left the same as in v2.5 and the subtitles in the Jabba scene (along with the rest of the 1997 elements of the
  1017.  
  1018. footage were used from the Team Blu version).
