- Like most arboreal mammals, the Xexto and their Quermian cousins bear their children live, one at a time. At birth, the children are born with all their limbs, but their necks are only slightly longer than that of a standard human child. As children grow, their necks increase in length, and their spinal columns and bone structure thicken to support the necks.
