  1. Name: Sawyer Brimsley
  2.
  3. Age: 42
  4.
  5. Gender: Male
  6.
  7. Monster or Human: Human.
  8.
  9. Abilities/Tools: (I am so sorry prepare for a long read)
  10.
  11. Physically Fit: Sawyer is an adventurer and explorer of dangerous ruins, so he’s gained a lot of muscle mass/cardio over the years. He’s still only a regular human in very good shape, so he cannot perform superhuman feats of strength or endurance.
  12.
  13. Grandmaster of Winging It: It is very difficult to predict Sawyer’s next move, due to the fact that even he doesn’t really know what his next move is! However, his haphazard decisions and rapid improvisation skills often get him out of situations he is not usually able to handle.
  14.
  15. Archeological Knowhow: Is highly learned in the matters of all things old. He can pick out ancient writings and translate them, spot ancient architecture and identify it, and locate/disarm ancient traps. His disarming skills can translate to some modern traps.
  16.
  17. Brawler: Knows about the rules and honor of a fight… and chooses to ignore them entirely! He has a very unorthodox fighting style. He focuses on unbalancing the opponent, distracting them and then taking a cheap shot, using tools from the environment, or just shooting them. Very practical stuff, although it’s probably not going to win him very many awards for honorable fighting.
  18.
  19. Hippocratic Tendencies: Has a good amount of medical training and will do his best to patch anyone injured up. This attitude extends even to his supposed enemies, due to his kind-hearted nature.
  20.
  21. The Ginormous Little Bag: The little satchel he carries around with him? It carries far more than you might think! It has an incredible amount of space and currently carries a vast amount of archeological texts and journals, in addition to his trusty Smith & Wesson and adventurer tools of the trade (bedroll, lighter, electric lantern with backup batteries, nonperishable trail rations for seven days, sack, lots of water, and a water purifier.) Note: living creatures cannot be put into the bag.
  22.
  23. The Armorer’s Amulet: A mysterious relic Sawyer found in one of his most celebrated expeditions; a dull iron amulet in the shape of a simple, stylized fist. Although it appears initially unimpressive, it contains a powerful enchantment. It commands a series of powerful relics that the user can manifest at will, although only one relic may exist in the real world at the same time. Attempting to summon a second relic will desummon the currently existing relic. The user of said amulet can also desummon relics at will. The relics manifest upon the appropriate part of the wearer’s body. The relics automatically desummon when the user moves 30 feet away from them. If a relic is broken or destroyed, that particular relic may not be summoned again for 24 hours. After this period, the relic can be summoned again, undamaged.
  24.
  25. List of Relics Summonable from The Armorer’s Amulet (ordered by numbers):
  26.
  27.
  28. 1. The Blocking Buckler. This relic looks like a rusted iron buckler of middling size. It allows the holder of said buckler to successfully defend against powerful physical attacks with minimal damage to oneself. However, although the buckler is nigh invulnerable, it is also heavy and unwieldy, making it only practically useful a last resort and for hunkering down against powerful strikes.
  29.
  30.
  31. 2. The Seven League Shoes. This relic looks like a pair of old leather traveling boots. It allows the wearer of said shoes to move very quickly, up to 60 kilometers per hour, with about as much physical strain as one would experience from sprinting. This does not improve reaction times.
  32.
  33. 3. The Harming Handwraps. This relic looks like an old pair of slightly bloodstained handwraps, which extend to the elbow and leave the fingers bare. The handwraps themselves are extraordinarily rough, to the point where a light brush with the wraps would result in serious abrasions. The handwraps may be unraveled slightly, and the loose parts may be slightly controlled to the point of acting like sentient whips. Fine motor control of said loose wraps is beyond the user. The longer the user wears these wraps, the more pain they experience from the rough wraps grating on their arms. If not desummoned after extensive usage, they’ll eventually begin to grate down the skin to the bones.
  34.
  35. 4. The Giant’s Gloves. This relic looks like a rather oversized pair of old leather blacksmithing gloves. This relic allows the wearer to lift titanic weights with relative ease, to the point where the wearer's upper limits start around 750kg. The gloves will always be a few sizes too big for the wearer, disallowing fine motor control while worn.
  36.
  37. 5. The Fencing Foil. This relic looks like a simple dueling epee with a purposefully blunted tip, rather like something you'd see in a fencing lesson. This relic imparts vast fencing knowledge to the user, and the fencing maneuvers performed will be equally effective against all types of swords. Using this relic imparts a strong sense of honor in the wielder as long as the relic is summoned, meaning strikes when the opponent is grounded or cheap shots will be abhorrent and cowardly to the user's temporary mindset. In addition, It is entirely impossible to kill someone directly using this relic: any attempts will fail due to the blunted tip or the user's unwillingness.
  38.
  39. (END OF ABILITIES AND TOOLS)
  40.
  41. Appearance: Sawyer is a short but well-built man. He's been tanned a bronze color from countless expeditions, and his brown hair is long, curly, and unruly. He sports an impressive Wyatt Earp-esque mustache, and has grand bushy eyebrows. His eyes are a striking blue, and his mostly hidden lips are very often curled in a good-natured smile. He has a 3-claw scar across his chest that he loves to tell people about. When on an expedition, he's generally clad in a tan safari outfit with a matching pith helmet. When he's relaxing, he's instead usually found in some kind of odd mishmash of clothing, like jeans and a dress shirt or pajamas with a sun hat. His personal favorite casual clothes are khaki cargo shorts and the loudest Hawaiian vacation shirt he can find.
  42.
  43. Background: Ever since Sawyer was a kid, he was fascinated with the unknown. When he believed monsters were in his closet, he armed himself with a flashlight and explored the armoire until he was thoroughly disappointed by the lack of exotic creatures. When he saw a sign that said "do not enter", he'd climb the chain link fence and wander in the urban jungle. And when he got an opportunity to explore unknown parts of the world, he jumped at the opportunity. He got his Bachelor's in Archeology, and then began to hop around the planet, piecing together the past of humans and eventually monsters. He eventually figured out that humans had coexisted with monsters in the past, and began to regale the historic community with tales of the past, when humankind and monsterkind ruled the world as one. He was brushed off by those who called him insane of course, and he was on the brink of doubting himself… and then Mount Ebott was opened, and the Monsters revealed themselves to the world. Ever since then, Sawyer has been travelling the Earth, attempting to figure out the reason monsters were sealed away, and now his journey finally takes him to the depths of Mt. Ebott itself.
  44.
  45. Personality: Sawyer is jovial and upbeat. He enjoys sharing stories and hiking through unknown places. Although he enjoys fine dining and the like, he's perfectly fine surviving completely off of the land, and has done so on multiple occasions. He's fascinated about people's pasts, and makes it a mission to make new friends wherever he goes. He manages to stay chipper even during a fight, which helps in irritating his opponent and keeping them offbeat. He does get angry when his friends are threatened or his character is questioned, and he has the ability to get stone cold serious when necessary. Gets deeply sad when his friends are hurt or killed. Becomes taciturn and quiet when asked about lost friends. Often says things like "Tally Ho!".
  46.
  47. RP Sample: (Sawyer is wandering through a dusty ruin filled with dangerous traps.)
  48. "My, what a fascinating place! Look at these markings, what if…"
  49. (He steps to the markings, but freezes as he hears a click under his feet!)
  50. "By Jove! Agh!"
  51. (He rolls to the side, tucked into a protective ball. Spikes harmlessly pierce the space where he stood!)
  52. "Oy vey! I was almost holier than the Pope's Swiss Cheese Sandwich! These markings must be important to be guarded so jealously…"
  53. (He crouches down, being sure to avoid the pressure plate, and leafs through an etymology book.)
  54. "...This just reads 'sucker.' What a sense of humor these trapmakers have, hehe."
