- Before starting your run, it's recommended that you enable debug mode by pressing X, B, R, B, Y, L on the title screen.
- **Route Details**
- This is a novice route for any% Japanese version. It obtains Super Boots for extra damage and easier Teleporter Room Early. This route is a few minutes slower than optimal, but it's the easiest to learn.
- Note: Leave the memory card out to skip the autosave at the start of the game. There are no autosaves after this so you can put it in any time after the curtain pulls.

- “Puni Glitch” down to the pipe below. It is luck if your count drops to 75 or 45 right away.
- Go back to the Bubble Room and Puni glitch across again (or trap the X-Naut)
- Puni Glitch down to the next pipe
- Reveal the hidden block below the **Damage Dodge P** with Koops (switch fast)
- (If Damage Dodge P goes out the left side, grab it quickly and go into the next loading zone before the Punies get scared. If it goes out the right side of the block, you’ll have to skip it. There’s a backup badge later on to collect.)
- Note: You can hit the invisible block with your hammer, but you have to be in a very specific spot, and if you waste too much time setting up, the Pider will scare the Punies. Koops is recommended.

- Cage Skip
- Puni Glitch to the pipe in the next room.
- Use Koops to hit the Blue Switch in the water room
- Note: If you time it right, you can hit the switch at the same time you go down the pipe, which saves time on the pipe traversing cutscene. This is somewhat risky if you time it too early.
- Note 2: It is luck-based, but you can use the Puni Glitch across the platforms and go down the pipe, skipping the scene to lower the water. I don’t recommend this.
- Go down the pipe and place the Puni Orb in the next 2 spots to reveal the Crystal Star
- Leave the Punies at the pillar and start the first escape
- **X-Nauts**

- During the first escape, go and grab the Super Boots
- Get **Charge** with Koops on the way back
- Return back to the escape room (via red door) and re-trigger the escape
- Chase Crump back to tree entrance (leave the Punies, you don’t need them)

- *Safety saving isn't a bad idea here if you're not confident with the Flurrie Superslide method of Ultra Hammer Early. The Super Jump storage is a one-shot trick.*

- Go right to Grodus’ office and get the Card Key

- Take the first elevator on the right back to Sublevel 2
- Go one room to the right and take the teleporter back to Rogueport Sewers

- Note: If you get “Use at least 1 special move” you should almost always fail an earth tremor, as it is the fastest thing to do.
- Note 2: Jumping while waiting for the Guards delays him from entering the room. Try to avoid doing any actions during this time aside from equipping badges/changing partners.
- Note 3: For all of the Minor League, you can only get a maximum of 14 extra Star Points. It also saves a lot of time time later on to level up right after defeating the Hand-It-Overs.

- If you didn't get the Boo's Sheet from Charlieton, go to the blimp area to reset his inventory and then check for it again.
- Pay Gus and use Yoshi to get to the Wedding Ring
- Give Frankie the wedding ring to get the Gold Card
- Go to Pianta Parlor and buy exactly 204 piantas
- Buy 6 Power Rushes from the Pianta Parlor (2nd option, Power Rush is 3rd from the bottom)
- If you still don't have the Boo's Sheet, then you must keep reloading his inventory and checking until you have it.
- **Note: There is a chance that the game can crash in X-Naut Fortress upon entering the door leading to Magnus 2.0. You can avoid this by entering Westside Goods in Rogueport.**
- **While going into Paper Mode above the vent:**
- ● Equip 3 Power Rushes (Or 6 if you leveled up in Chapter 3)
- Go into the vent and into the pipe to the Fahr Outpost area
- Get **Double Dip P** from the hidden block on the screen with the pipe
- (If you didn't get the Boo's Sheet from Charlieton, then go to Twilight Town and get the **Boo's Sheet** from the Storage Room)
- Go back to the sewers and through the teleporter

- Use the Elevator Key and go to Sublevel 3
- Go left to the third electric tile room and get the Card Key
- Note: You can use Yoshi to make the tiles move quickly. Just hop on Yoshi, run on the tiles, and hop off. It helps to know the pattern of the room so you stay on the lit panels.
- Go right and use the 3 Card Keys
- Get First Struck by the X-Naut PhD to do Conveyor Belt Skip
- (You will want to try to Guard/Superguard the attack. For the Magnus 2.0 fight, you will want to have either 10 HP, 7 HP, or 6 HP. If you need to heal, you can either use the Heal Block by the Yux, or do Sort Glitch to heal with the Life Shroom.)
- Navigate the room and hit the stairs switch
- Hover with Yoshi to get the Card Key
- Use Card Key to enter the final room

- (If Mario is at 10 HP, then you need to get First Struck by a Bombshell Bill. You need to get Mario down to at least 5 HP.)
- Go through the Spike Room
- Get the **Boo's Sheet** in the Fire Bar room
- First Strike the Phantom Ember with Koops and use the invincibility frames to get past the last Fire Bars
- Make sure you enter the Dark Bones fight with Mario at 5 HP or less

- Get First Struck by the Chain Chomp after getting the Palace Key if you have more than 5 HP (The Chain Chomp does 6 damage Unguarded)
- (If you don't have a Life Shroom, you will need to use Yoshi to hover to the platform with the **Life Shroom** on it.)
- Fall down and use the spring to get back up to the Plane Panel
- Fly across the room and unlock the door
- Enter the throne room
