  1. Pizza’s Judgement of Kirbin vs. Corvette:
  2.
  3. Kokushibo vs. Sabretooth:
  4.
  5. The question is, who loses their head first?
  6.
  7. The most obvious point of contention in this debate is speed. Sabretooth has some relatively shaky scaling to other comic characters. The X-23 feat seems clean, but I wasn’t sure how good it was. The Nightcrawler feat didn’t seem to prove much, and I was not a fan of the Iron Fist feat at all. Whether or not he had the chi amp didn’t seem to be the defense Corvette thought it was, when it seemed suspicious for the feats to simply be that many years apart. Kokushibo was mostly contested for how good the speed feats he had were, but the argument seemed to mostly imply that the feat was slightly worse, not entirely useless. Though Kokushibo does have the disadvantage of being from a trash manga.
  8.
  9. Kirbin argued a pretty consistent offense for Kokushibo, with the fast AOE attacks. The most that Corvette could dispute was whether Kokushibo would open with one. The win condition of cutting Sabretooth’s head off is pretty attainable and only gets easier the more Kokushibo attacks and damages him.
  10.
  11. Corvette pretty much had one clear win condition for Sabretooth: He runs in and punches Kokushibo’s head off. He definitely has the strength to do this, and this made it an extremely close debate, because both win conditions were so plausible.
  12.
  13. Kirbin had the point that the main examples of Sabretooth attacking heads are against robots and he wouldn’t necessarily do that against a biological opponent. On the other hand, that’s a fucking dumb argument to try and say that he wouldn’t attack the head at all. But I don’t believe Corvette that Sabretooth would know to go for that kind of attack immediately because he’s against a regenerator — because he wouldn’t immediately know he’s a regenerator.
  14.
  15. Sabretooth might realize that as the fight went on, but Corvette’s argument seemed to be built on the idea that the main opportunity comes when Kokushibo opens with a non-AOE attack, and I can’t believe that Sabretooth would consistently do that — nor that he could immediately shrug off the first attack just because it’s not AOE. Corvette also seemed to heavily argue that Sabretooth can block all of the AOE attacks, but that doesn’t mean that he can casually shrug them off and freely attack while ignoring them. If he has to block, he’s taking gradual damage, especially if he has to guard his neck to avoid Kokushibo’s win condition.
  16.
  17. Ultimately, Kokushibo has AOE and Sabretooth doesn’t, and while Kirbin only casually pointed this out at the start instead of pressing it, they start at a distance. The advantages are slight, but Kokushibo’s strengths allow him to barely avoid his lose condition while making his win condition more likely the longer it goes on.
  18.
  19. Kokushibo wins.
  20.
  21. Morel vs. Shishio:
  22.
  23. Thank fuck, this one is simpler than the last one.
  24.
  25. After all the back and forth of whether or not Morel will get in a melee fight, I think it ended up settling down with Kirbin being right. All the minute circumstances were debated back and forth to the point that I’m not even sure Morel exists anymore. But even if he were to engage in melee, it seems like he would still establish his smoke to control the field first. At that point, he can leverage his heavy advantages. He might not wait for Shishio to burn out, but even then, his physicals aren’t exactly bad.
  26.
  27. Does Shishio have better physicals? Yeah, probably, and that was hardly even disputed. Though I do agree with Kirbin that scaling Gatotsu to a later statement is wack, and the scaling to Zero-shiki seemed sus (less distance is a good point though). But it barely matters.
  28.
  29. Morel wins.
  30.
  31. Saito vs. Captain America:
  32.
  33. The Gatotsu is mega fast. Cap is mega not ready. On the other hand, Cap’s shield is mega shield. I don’t really give a fuck if he’d use both shields, but it’s pretty obvious that he’d at least use the round one since it’s better. The shield throw is also mega fast, and Saito is mega not ready for that.
  34.
  35. That’s kind of hard to decide on, no? I’m pretty sure Saito could just aim for where the shield doesn’t block, and I’m pretty sure that would work. Corvette did mention that Saito might try to attack the shield out of arrogance, but I’m pretty sure he could just see that it’s metal.
  36.
  37. But I’m also pretty sure Cap would open with throwing the shield and then Saito dies.
  38.
  39. I guess that’s more likely since they start at a distance? I’m past giving a fuck though.
  40.
  41. Cap wins.
  42.
  43. .
  44.
  45. Kirbin wins 2-1.
