Gossip hens

Alexithymiaa: -Brad was sitting at one of the booths with a plate of half eaten grilled cheese in front of him, a big bowl of tomato soup beside his plate. He'd been graving it on the chilly evening and the cafe for it seemed perfect now that he had Kelsey in town to enjoy it with him.-
Covet: Kelsey was sitting across from him, leaned up against the back of the booth. She had her knees up propping up her notebook as she went about writing. She glanced over at Brad with a smile on her face, "You look like you've been in a pretty good mood all day." Her hand reached out for her mocha, with extra whipped cream, taking a sip off of it.
Alexithymiaa: "Honestly I've been looking forward to this all day. When I got up and it was freezing outside all I could think about was how good a nice grilled cheese and soup would be. And look, I finally got it." He said with a grin, holding up his other half of sandwich and dipping it into his soup to take a bite.-
Covet: "Well, endulge in your satisfaction hun." She told him, then added, "I'm glad it's so easy to please you though. Some good food and you're happy as can be."
Alexithymiaa: "I never thought that was a bad thing." He said with a shrug, taking another bite. "Did you end up talking to Liz today? I was dying to find out more info about Aubrey and Justin."-
Covet: "Oh my goodness, No I didn't! I got caught up with school stuff that it completely skipped my mind." Kelsey said frowning. "I can send her a message now though." She said, putting her notebook to the side and picking her phone up off the table top. She pulled up Liz's number and sent off a text message.
Alexithymiaa: "I'm sure you were busy. Our gossip isn't exactly a priority. I was just thinking about it today when I was reviewing Dailies. And I talked to Anna to get some numbers from her and kind of casually slipped it into conversation and she didnt know anything."-
Covet: "Hmm, She's kind of been a bit out of that loop for a while though." Kelsey said looking at her phone. "Ugh.. she says they're the cutest... I reminded her about the punch though." She added.
Alexithymiaa: "Really? I just kind of assumed being so neck deep in all that shit that she'd be in the know. Or I guess releasing a new song and video over the weekend has your priorities elsewhere." He picked up his spoon to take in a mouthful of soup, raising his brows. "I wouldnt say theyre the cutest...."-
Covet: "Wow.. she's really cranking them out these days." Kelsey said biting the inside of her cheek as she read the messages between her and Liz. "I can't believe this.. she actually supports them and is excited about it. Am I the only one who thinks this is weird?"
Alexithymiaa: "Hey, works for me. I get to benefit from the fact that she wants more videos for like every song she releases." He said casually, not at all bothered by it. "No, it's definitely weird, but are you surprised here? We're talking about Liz."-
Covet: "Yeah..." Kelsey said trailing off, trying not to compare herself to Anna, because that's her friend, but at the same time being frustrated. She swallowed hard, tuning back into what Brad was sying. "No... not really all that surprised, just.." She couldn't even finish the sentence before shuddering a little. "Liz says you're rude for staring, by the way."
Alexithymiaa: "I'm rude for a lot of things. I'll accept the staring as the least of her worries." He said with a grin.-
Covet: Kelsey snickered. "Oh, I love this girl, but she doesn't have a cell in that brain of hers, I swear." She said shaking her head, putting her phone down.
Alexithymiaa: "I don't know why you seem to be surprised about that. She's always been like that as long as I can remember." He said as he finished off his sandwich.-
Covet: "I'm not surprised, that was just an obvious statement." She said with a laugh, taking another drink of her coffee. "I know she's been like that. I just hoped that maybe she'd grow out of it a little bit."
Alexithymiaa: "From what I can tell, her management and PR keeps her on a pretty tight leash. For good reason, obiously." He moved his hand to wipe his greasy fingers on the legs of his pants. "If we weren't shooting, she had someone by her side."-
Covet: "Wait, like a babysitter?" Kelsey asked him
Alexithymiaa: "Less formally, it kind of seemed like. I'm pretty sure she was her assistant, but she only left her side when we were ready to shoot. And the second she stepped off the set, she was right next to her again."-
Covet: "Huh, I mean.. it's Liz... she really isn't one to get into serious trouble. But.. sometimes... I wonder if her head is filled with helium or something."
Alexithymiaa: "I don't wonder sometimes, I wonder often. Honestly it seemed like she wasn't allowed to be alone, but that's just my outsider opinion from being on set with her for a few days."-
Covet: "Well it's either that or she's had some crazy stalker or something. Those are really the only two justifications." Kelsey said.
Alexithymiaa: "I dont think it was the stalker. It's not like she had a guarded escort to and from set. It was just this little dainty LA looking chick following her around all day."-
Covet: "Probably an assistant then. Which is probably good. She's probably Liz's brain." Kelsey said with a smile.
Alexithymiaa: "Honestly she looked like what I imagine Liz's brain looks like. Small, blonde and in a lot of pastels." He said with a grin, amused with his own joke.-
Covet: "Oh my goodness I can totally see it." She said with a laugh, then took another drink. "We should go see Steph sometime this week." She said after a moment.
Alexithymiaa: -He instantly rolled his eyes because of course he knew what was going on, but he didnt actually want to go over there. "Do we have to? I sent a card and Connor signed his name."-
Covet: "Well that's nice, but I promised Bryan I would. It was the only thing keeping him from flying out himself." Kelsey told him. "But I guess if you don't want to go, I can go by myself. I just figured with her having a heart attack, that it'd be nice for some face time for everyone."
Alexithymiaa: "Is that what this is about? Just saving face?" He asked, trying to figure it out because he genuinely didnt see what the big deal was about going over there since she was 'fine.'-
Covet: "No, this is about going over because we, or at least I care. Her heart wasn't beating when the ambulance arrived, they had to shock her to get her back. She was pretty much Dead, Bradley." She said starting to get a little emotional.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, and who's fault is that?" He asked a little sarcastically, not wanting to go and therefore getting a little bitter about 'wasting' an evening there. "If it means that much to you, we'll go."-
Covet: "Wow... no.. I think this is something I'd rather do myself. I wouldn't want it to inconvenience you. Don't worry about it." She said forcing a polite smile on her lips. "Connor and I can go, it will give you some free time to do something you want to do."
Alexithymiaa: "I literally just said that if you want to go, we'll go." He said quickly, confused about her attitude because he's a moron.-
Covet: "I do, but I don't want to force you to go, because you clearly had no intention of doing so. And that's fine, that's your choice." Kelsey said biting the inside of her cheek.
Alexithymiaa: "But if you're going to go anyway, I said I'd go. I just thought there were other things you'd rather do on your first week back in Portland."-
Covet: "Seeing my cousin who nearly died, while I was away, is something I would most definitely like to do my first week back. First was you and Connor, now it's Steph." She told him, trying to explain without an attitude. "You don't need to go though. You're not going to like it anyways, so it's fine, really."
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, but if you go without me it's just going to make me look bad like I intentionally went out of my way not to go." Still only concerned with himself.-
Covet: "I'm sure she won't be that bothered by it. If she is, I'm sure she'll let you know. But I can just say you've got a lot of work right now, with Anna putting out new videos left and right." Kelsey said.
AlexithymiaaAlexithymiaa : -He let out a sigh, rubbing his hand over his eyes. "Yeah, because that'll go over real well. It's fine, whatever, I'll go."-
Covet: "Okay.. but you don't have to if you change your mind." She told him, with a sigh. "It's not exactly like she doesn't know you aren't a huge fan of her. You've kind of made that clear the last time we were over there."
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, and that's why I didn't volunteer to go over there to check in." A lie, it was for selfish reasons. "Things just aren't the same anymore."-
Covet: "Okay, so then no need to force yourself to go. I'm not forcing you, nor suggesting that you have to. But I intend to, because it's important to me." Kelsey said with a sigh.
Alexithymiaa: "Right and things that are important to you, are important to me. So I'll go to support you, I just hope she doesn't end up pissed that I showed up."-
Covet: "Just... no scenes or dramatic antics. Okay?" She said with a sigh, not really in a mood to argue.
Alexithymiaa: "I'm not going to cause anything." He said quickly with a nod. "What else am I supposed to do if she comes at me though?"-
Covet: "Just.. don't say anything... Just let her rant and rave...but I doubt she's going to exert that much energy just to get after you."
Alexithymiaa: "Are we talking about the same person here?' He asked with a raised brow. "Because last I checked, that's what she does."-
Covet: "Yeah.. but she had a heart attack Brad. She's been pretty tired after all that. Which is why she's still on bedrest too."
Alexithymiaa: "Alright alright alright, I'm just saying." He said as he slumped backward, checking the time on his phone. "C'mon, we need to get back. Holly is probably waiting to go home."-
Covet: "Okay." Kelsey said, looking at him, "Oh right, got caught up gossiping." She smirked as she slid out of the booth.
Alexithymiaa: "Seems to be a habit of ours." Brad said as he slipped out across from her, digging into his wallet for a few bills to drop onto the table for tip. He reached over to take her hand, walking her out of the cafe and out to his car to head home.-
