― chae-ri is a single child, so her parents struggled a lot with not knowing how to properly take care of her. they were clueless at first and couldn't handle her since she was a bright and energetic child. her parents found out that music calmed her down and they constantly played it to get her to calm her instead of letting her run around all the time.

― when chae-ri started school, she noticed that she was a lot taller than some kids and a bit chubbier too. she ate well at lunch yet people would bother her about her height and weight, saying that she wasn't feminine because she was taller than the guys. she never let it get to her, though. she worked hard in school and got decent grades, all while making friends and living carefree like a child would. after school, she liked to hang out at her father's restaurant with her friends.

― chae-ri had a hard time going into high school. it was much more difficult and her grades were getting worse, but she worked hard to get them up. her parents were always disappointed with her grades, knowing that she could do better, and they were extremely shocked when she started training to become an idol. they thought that she wouldn't be able to handle both school and training at the same time and tried to persuade her to quit training. chae-ri took a few months off of training because of this and focused on school. once she got her grades up, she returned to train.
