  1. "Speak with friends of..."
  2.
  3. "A wisp? Do I understand that correctly?"
  4.
  5. The fact that she would need a Teraphim for that would imply that she's seeking to learn something about spirituality, or perhaps something similar in that regard- though, what isn't clear to him is but one thing.
  6.
  7. "But why would you want to speak with one?"
  8.
  9. Yet, a claim of meeting a vampire causes him to tilt his head. Which one was it, again?
  10.
  11. "Ah.."
  12.
  13. "How'd he look like? If you remember."
  14.
  15. It may just match with whom he's thinking about, but.. of course, he could be biased against that one.
  16. (Ambrose Roche)
  17.
  18. Abe asks, "?"
  19.
  20. She cants her head over to the small gathering of people, though reluctant to care for their reason of just standing around. There was a foul odor in the air, though she could not tell what exactly. So what was she to do with them exactly?
  21.
  22. "Revolting." she said.
  23.
  24. A strange presence begins to walk forth, as it's bloodlust becomes rather potent from the looks of things. It couldn't tell whose it's first target would be, but it knew to attack the strongest of the bunch. With that conclusion in mind, it's golden hues viewed Ambrose from head to toe.
  25.
  26. The creature places it's nails out forward and begins to pour mana into each finger tip of her nails. The mana took the form of blood and begins to channel themselves to pin point their location.
  27.
  28. If they did not respond directly to the channeling of dangerous mana, something bad might occur? However this was just the starting point really, a more sinister power eruptsfrom the being.
  29.
  30.
  31. "Perish."
  32.
  33.
  34. An oozing blood mist casts at the base of their core, expanding outward.
  35. (Vanessa)
  36.
  37. Vanessa says, "Moth, attack anything that comes near me."
  38.
  39. Another creature accompanies this strange presence - although this one seems much more...Primal? It does not necessarily seem to have clear intent, but its eyes move across the field, flitting from person to person.
  40.
  41. Something akin to instinct activates, as the cloak around this individual's body begins to flutter, with a strange noise - until it unfurls, revealing moth-like wings, fluffy in stature, and insect claws.
  42.
  43. One claw rests on its Master's shoulder, and the creature shakes its head.
  44.
  45. "...Bad...Idea..." it advises, feeling that there are way too many individuals present for this to be very sane.
  46.
  47. Being a much more animalistic creature, than anything - it acted on instinct for its best interests and the interests of the individual it cared for.
  48.
  49. It had a bad feeling.
  50.
  51. "...Gruh…"
  52.
  53. But, it had to obey.
  54. (Motira)
  55.
  56. The woman chuckled again, and slowly shook her head, the Black Wisp that was currently with her soon ceasing its orbit, to move next to her head.
  57.
  58. "The other Wisps that fell from the tear, I mean... I am not so... Adept at communicating with spirits proper, as he is... Hence, needing his assistance in getting the other ones to... Well... Behave... Their destructive mannerisms of current aren't the most... Beneficial as a whole..." she'd offer as an explanation.
  59.
  60. And as for the Vampire?
  61.
  62. "I never did get a name... They wore a peculiar, white hat... And did something with shadows that I can't quite describe accurately... But he was definitely... Rather rude." Though, she wasn't certain if that spoke for all other Vampires. But it certainly wasn't a grand first-impression.
  63.
  64. "I- Oh dear..."
  65.
  66. It seems that someone was attacking! She wasn't a fighter herself, but...
  67.
  68. The woman attempted to walk into the path between the Mutant and Ambrose! Not adopting any manner of stance for combat, but trying to avert it perhaps?
  69.
  70. The Wisp began to move around sporatically in a manner of warning to the woman it was staying close to- Evidently FAR more aware of the harm she might be putting herself in the way of, than Junior herself would be aware.
  71.
  72. "Now... Please... I don't quite understand what this is about... But... There must be a more civil way to go about this..."
  73. (Junior)
  74.
  75. A hooded masked figure climbed out of the quarry from nearby, his clothes or rather full appearance covered in dirt from the mining presumably done before this.
  76.
  77. Under the gehennan mask, an eyebrow is raised towards the group of people around. What caught interest is his fellow Mire denizens.
  78.
  79. He sits himself at the edge of the cliff and watched over the duo dealing, boldly dealing with the people around them. Judging from the people he can and cannot recognize, it's a 2 v 4, where she to take on all of them.
  80.
  81. Were the battle is lethal, at least on their side, he'd help and even the odds by 1. But, that is if this battle truly is lethal.
  82.
  83. He's always the type to never control over free will. Even were it to debilitate them. Or rather, he's simply not brave enough to do so. Best he could do is merely help them with their consequences.
  84.
  85. And so he watched over the fight, watching out for any fatal attacks from their side to his.
  86. (Abe)
  87.
  88. "..?"
  89.
  90. The growing miasma and blood earned the attention of the Prince. As much as it was evident that they wouldn't even introduce themselves, the attack that follows is deflected by a shielding entity.
  91.
  92.
  93. A shadow amalgamation rises,
  94. blocking for its master.
  95.
  96.
  97. But Ambrose quickly becomes unamused by such gesture. Here, where Vanessa chooses to engage against him, Roche does not back off in the slightest - he's already handled many of the Mire folk, and he assumes her to be exactly that.
  98.
  99. "How barbaric..."
  100.
  101. "You come here and attack me, and you don't even introduce yourself."
  102.
  103. "The other one at least had the decency to introduce herself."
  104.
  105. Perhaps Vanessa thought that Ambrose is merely a potent young magi- to think that is something that couldn't be any further from the truth. Already plenty have fallen against him.
  106.
  107. She's likely to add to that tally.
  108.
  109. "Step aside, Junior."
  110.
  111. It's not something that she likely expected - but what emerges is a display of dark, destructive magic; the very same shadowy amalgamation withdraws the bow of the Prince, preparing a single arrow against Vanessa.
  112.
  113. "I'll have to discipline this one too."
  114. (Ambrose Roche)
  115.
  116. Her eyes had settled upon Ambrose for only a brief time before she witnessed the bloody...woman?...approach the Prince's back with brutal intent.
  117.
  118. She pulls the stave from her back, aiming it towards Vanessa- already intending to entrap her. Grass writhes, reaching up to try and prevent her movement. To try and stop her from beginning her assault.
  119.
  120. "It's rude to attack someone from behind."
  121.
  122. Vilyra doesn't speak elsewise, though, and she would endeavor to go forwards to strike at Vanessa if no one got in her way. Steps taken forward, fog gathering about the field.
  123. (Vilyra)
  124.
  125. Oh, no no no! That wouldn't do. None of this would do! An attempted murder, right outside the gates to Starfall even!
  126.
  127. "My delicious friends! You've made a terrible mistake. But I'm sure you'll all come to understand that soon enough."
  128.
  129. A golden light emerges centerfold, and radiates out across his body. Specs of black begin to form, being at the center of any starlight cluster that'd be about himself.
  130.
  131. His eyes bounce between the other two options, waiting to see what options they'd choose. Excitedly anticipating every single outcome that could be taken. His grin spreads.
  132.
  133. "I enjoy you all, no... I love you all! You're fantastic party guests. So come! Join in, one of you two."
  134.
  135. He'd focus upon Abe and Motira.
  136. (Epialos)
  137.
  138. Vanessa has sustained an injury in battle...
  139.
  140. Vanessa has rolled 1 or under: they may be captured!
  141.
  142. How quaint.
  143.
  144. To attack him in such manner, yet to find herself almost entirely helpless against the Prince; there's a reason why he was a feared young man, despite his growing advancement as a magi - a testament to such discovered in the fact that she could not overpower Ambrose, no matter what she's done.
  145.
  146. The cuts, bruises and occasional small lacerations were healing quickly on his flesh, a testament to his supernatural, innate power.
  147.
  148. "...Is this what you bring?"
  149.
  150. "An attempt on my life, but this little strength?"
  151.
  152. "You insult me."
  153.
  154. Toxins and dark magics were the tools used against her that day- sapping at her strength, poisoning her body, until it was growing all too difficult to resist any further. At that point..
  155.
  156. Is there any hope?
  157.
  158. "But I'll give you a treat anyway."
  159.
  160. "One you won't forget."
  161.
  162. The amalgamation that was set on defending the Prince had lunged at Vanessa- in the middle of their battle, when the weakness was found, it had swallowed her whole; the void enveloping her to the point of unknowing where she is.
  163.
  164.
  165. Whispers. Hundreds, thousands..
  166. All belonging to some magi or otherwise.
  167. Some Essharan, some not.
  168. Yet all in his possession.
  169.
  170.
  171. They infest her, buzzing in her mind and heart alike- an endless cacophony that was almost impossible to shut out, with the feelings that aren't her on - in turn, they take her carelessness, her desire to fight.
  172.
  173. They damage her,
  174. as did he.
  175.
  176. At last, she's spat out - with sufficient feeding, the Prince only stares at her.
  177.
  178. Unamused, still.
  179.
  180. "What do you have to say for yourself? Hm?"
  181. (Ambrose Roche)
  182.
  183. After the mutant challenged the being to a fight with blood and poison, there was a serious difference in ability. Though the mutant might been more physically fit than them, they still had best them in combat.
  184.
  185. The fight was quickly turning south for the mutant, but she didn't care all that much really. She was given a task to do, and she wasn't the type to just ignore when an order was given, especially from a King. Still, she did her best to get close enough to strike the being, but poison had prevented them from doing so.
  186.
  187. "Repulsive magic." she had said.
  188.
  189. As the mutant continued to struggle in the tricks and erosion of their magic, she felt a contradiction to what she normally feels, the carelessness deep inside her was naught but a fading feeling she could no longer actively tap into; such feelings were foreign to her, yet difficult to discern from normal ones. As expected of Occult, it mostly focused on negativity - fear, anxiety, uncertainty and bouts of anger were most common. Physically, it manifests as the burned out and damaged circuitry. Either medical treatment or time would heal her.
  190.
  191. There was pain presently visible in the core of her mana, itching to get away and separate from the rest of her circuits. The mana she possessed was going to be a lot harder to control since her mind had been plagued with an outside force.
  192.
  193. "Tch. Let's get out of here Moth. Can't stand this stench any longer." she had stated, taking the other mutant by their hand. There was an oozing force of blood rushing from their feet, allowing it to swiftly take them away from the scene.
  194. (Vanessa)
  195.
  196. It'd be a fast and brutal fight.
  197.
  198. A cosmos manifests itself to aid in this fight. Orange and black stars falling down upon the quarry in attempt to squash out Abe and to, most importantly, prevent him from interfering with Ambrose.
  199.
  200. Stardust rains as Abe maneuvers through it, pummeling Epialos and forcing him to retreat. Thinking within his barrier of smog, he comes up with ever minor adjustment needed to succeed. His black flame manifests, striking out and draining the life from Abe. This /needs/ to be a fight of attrition, rather than a show of power.
  201.
  202. Slowing him, giving Epialos the advantage! All the way until the final strike where the Mutant would be apprehended. Abe's knees falter and the mutant collapses, his strength sapped. Epialos's own power flares! More stellar bombardments are delivered. Stars fall from the sky until Abe is nothing more, or well to Epialos's own vision.
  203.
  204. In reality Abe was capable of slipping out during thedestruction.
  205.
  206. Epialos descends from his perch within the sky and would check the carnage. Breathing heavily, trying to regain some footing. While he was able to take plenty from Abe, he still had to expend much of what he had.
  207.
  208. "Cocky mutants! You've no reason to be, but we'll be sure to correct that soon enough."
  209.
  210.
  211. (Epialos)
  212.
  213. It was a brutally quick fight, but she could almost immediately discern the reason. The moth-girl was without practice, and evidently without any equipment to speak of.
  214.
  215. She was reminded of herself, of years past. How fortunate she was to not get dragged to battle when she was just a bit younger. She isn't quite experienced, yet, but she isn't without any knowledge of the art.
  216.
  217. So it is quick that Motira is knocked to the ground by a cascade of bone and mist, before being claimed by grasping roots. At least, such was the intention.
  218.
  219. Through fortune, Motira is able to escape the grasp of nature and flee towards her Master. Vilyra, for her part, rushes back towards Ambrose and Epialos- coming quickly alongside the cosmic magi and looking towards the Prince.
  220. (Vilyra)
  221.
  222. Ends up less fleeing, and more so getting blasted directly into Vanessa's hold, quite literally whimpering as the poor creature never stood a chance in hell to begin with.
  223.
  224. She was thrown at them blindly and was tossed around easily, essentially not able to fight back at all.
  225.
  226. She lets out low whimpers, light cries of sorts - more urgent and quick than her usual, slow human speak ; as she lay in a crater with dust rising, somewhere near Vanessa.
  227. (Motira)
  228.
  229. "..?"
  230.
  231. Perhaps it is exactly these words that caused a frown upon his face- something that had been evidently keeping the Prince dissatisfied. The shadow amalgamation remained by his side, watching through the eyes of Ambrose.
  232.
  233. But..
  234.
  235. "Repulsive magic?"
  236.
  237. "That's rich - coming from someone living in the Mire."
  238.
  239. The wave of toxin and the dark magic alike pushed Vanessa out; she was unworthy to even take, as much as the amalgamation has feasted upon her- from there on, it's likely that she would be leaving, but...
  240.
  241. Roche didn't seem all too concerned.
  242.
  243. "--You'll need to bring more friends next time."
  244.
  245. The Prince would not be taken down so easily. Though, that certainly raises a concern..
  246.
  247. How many of them will keep coming after him, with attempts to kill him? Being an heir to Queen Araceli's throne most certainly painted a target on his back. Butfor now..
  248.
  249. His hand reached out to the amalgamation; a gentle hold by its side.
  250.
  251. "You did well."
  252.
  253. In protecting him.
  254.
  255. And in the coming years... it'll feed much, much more - for it already hosted myriad voices.
  256.
  257. Soon, it'll break through into something greater.
  258.
  259. As will he.
  260. (Ambrose Roche)
  261.
