  1. "A mental institution? You're throwing me into a loony bin?!" Her words could have made even a lion run away in fear, yet the man in front of her didn't even flinch. "It's that or death row, Lawliet. At least with you alive, I might be able to get you out and free again," he spoke calmly, searching through a folder filled with meaningless papers. "All you have to do is plead criminal insanity. You know how real insane people act, it shouldn't be a problem--" "You're not the one that'll have to spend quality time with lunatics!" She fell back into the metal chair she had been sitting on for what seemed like days. "I can't do that! Either way, who's saying those psychos won't try to kill me? Who's saying they won't want to challenge my five hundred and fifty-seven kills? It's ridiculous, I can't do it, Lawson. I can't," she sighed, covering her face with her hands as she slid down the chair, almost falling off. The man, Lawson, fixed his glasses as he stared into the folder. "It's not a matter of if you can or cannot. You have to, unless you feel like actually dying," he snapped, seemingly losing his patience with his own sister.
  2. "Why can't I be executed? Isn't the cloning shit fixed yet?" she stammered hopelessly in an attempt to pull some other option from him. "No. They will in time, but not now. You'll have to survive until I tell you that you can die. Don't get into fights in the nuthouse, you hear me? It's a very strict place, made specifically for people like you-- Or, who they think you are," he ranted on as she kept her rather pathetic pose in her chair, "I can keep them from putting you in solitary, but I doubt I can keep the other patients from doing anything to you. Act like your younger self, perhaps? Be shy, be weak, and be silent. Don't fight back unless you feel death is imminent, then run away. Are you listening to me?" A nearly unnoticeable nod queued the man to get up from the cold seat. She still didn't move. "I'm sorry. Really, I am, but there's nothing else I can do. I'll visit when you can die, just stay alive until then," he repeated before leaving. The sound of the metal door locking was echoed in the small room. She could hear the TV from a distant room before the door had shut. There was a pile-up. Six dead, fifteen injured. She wished she was one of the six.
