We are less than a week away from our second Occupy Social Media meeting on Tuesday December 20th in Raleigh. There has been some debate as to where the meeting should be held. Some feel a Government Building would cause issues, some felt fear of a co-opt by local groups, and others are pushing for a conference style room. Whatever the decision the main point is to make some face to face contact with like-minded people to gather and discuss ways to further the Occupy Movement.

IMHO We are spending too much time and energy negotiating potential meeting places and not discussing how we can create an effective social media strategy for The Carolinas.

So lets plan on The Volcano, but look to a more legitimate meeting places in the future.

For now, lets turn the discussion towards social media strategies.
