[07:38] <Swept_Wing||GM>  ***SESSION START: Seaddle Vertibuck Recovery-Pt. 2***
[07:41] <Swept_Wing||GM>  When we last left off, things went from odd to FUBAR in a few seconds. An entire wing of 8 Enclave Vertibucks had just appeared over Seaddle, behind Adagio, who had just screamed "LUNA FUCK ME WITH THE MOON!" over the radio. Swoop and Gale were out with their Vert, and everyone else had just reached the tunnels under the base.
[07:42] * Swoop looks up at the new verts and her eyes shrink, her ears dropping. "Oh fuck me six ways past Canterlot."
[07:43] * Swept_Wing||GM curses. "REPORT!" He yells over the radio. "What the fuck is happening!?"
[07:43] <Midnight_Runner> "What's the matter?" Brightwork asked over the radio, still on some stairs heading down through the terminal building.
[07:43] * Adagio realizes her comes are still open and fills in the team on the ground, "We have 8 hostile Vertibucks inbound!"
[07:45] * Swept_Wing||GM curses. "Swoop, do not engage! I'm sending 20/20 and Dark up to assist."
[07:45] * Swoop and Gale both dive (again???) for their buck. "So what' do we do meantime, paint targets on ourselves??"
[07:46] <Midnight_Runner> "That is not sounding good," Midnight said with a frown. "Enclave here? Something does not sit right with me." Brightwork nodded. "Me either, that's...too convenient."
[07:46] <Swept_Wing||GM> "You don't stand a chance against those odds, just sit tight." He waves 20/20 and Dark off, who both turn and gallop back the way they had come.
[07:48] * Swoop straps herself in. "Sit tight he says. Warm up the engines, Gale. We'll be taking off in short order."
[07:48] * Swept_Wing||GM turns to the others in the tunnel. "We need to move fast. Let's go." He sets off down the tunnel at a brisk trot, the Rangers following suit.
[07:49] <Midnight_Runner> "Fast sounds good," Brightwork said, catching up with Swept and the others. Midnight takes up the rear, looking over his shoulder on occasion.
[07:51] * Adagio tries to turn on the speed but... she wasn't moving faster, it actually felt like she was slowing down, "Dammit!  Not now!" she reaches for a phial on her bandoleer and tries to exchange the spent cartridge on her helm with a new one,
[07:52] <Swept_Wing||GM>  The Enclave Verts are headed towards the base, at the same time closing the gap with Adagio at an alarming rate. They're the smaller gunship models, sporting a large amount of armaments.
[07:55] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20 and Dark Cloud burst out of the base a minute later, beelineing for their Vert. "Steel 8! In the air!" The orange Sergeant yells, sprinting up the ramp into his Vert.
[07:55] * Swoop powers up quickly, becoming airborn as soon as the rotors hit max rpm. She quickly swings about and opens up on the Verts closet before peeling away.
[07:57] * Adagio manages to swap out the cartridges midair, she switches her comms off as she preps for the dumbest thing she can think of, "May we be truly grateful for what we are about to receive," she mutters before biting into the inhaler tip again,
[07:57] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20's Vert is in the air a moment later, engines whining under the stress. "Weapons hot, clear to engage Steel 8. Wipe these fuckers."
[07:58] * Swoop grits as she pulls behind the building. "Bit slow there, 20/20! We're already engaging!" She lines up another vert and lets lose a missile at it.
[08:00] * Adagio realizes as time begins to stretch out once more that being between the enclave and the rising friendly verts was not where she wanted to be, -c-
[08:02] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Four of the Enclave Verts break off to engage, one immediately taking a missile right in the engine, sending it spiraling into a building. The other 4 keep heading towards the base.
[08:03] <Swoop> "Splash one, 20! Confirm it!"
[08:03] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Meanwhile, back in the tunnel, Swept leads the squad galloping down the maze of tunnels, suddenly skidding to a halt at a corner.
[08:03] * Adagio does the only thing she can think of and decides to rush the remaining four heading for the base, "Time to fly like Rainbow Dash!" she lines up to break through the middle of the formation,
[08:04] <Midnight_Runner> Brightwork puts on the brakes too slowly, getting a faceful of Ranger ass. Midnight manages to stop, looking at Swept. "What is going on?" he asked quietly, readying his rifle.
[08:04] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20 fills one of ther Vert's cockpit's with so many 20mm rounds there isn't much left of it to hit the ground. "Confirmed 8, you take these other two down, I'll get the runners."
[08:07] <Swept_Wing||GM>  The two Verts that Swoop is left to deal with are quick to counter attack, one filling the air around Swoop with lead while the other loosed a pair of rockets.
[08:08] * Adagio smiles maliciously as the pressure wave builds against her hooves, "Every time I looked up as a filly I saw clouds, this is for those times!" she shouts as she breaks through the formation and the building pressure at almost the same time, "SUCK ON THAT YOU BASTARDS!"
[08:08] <Swoop> "On it!" Swoop lets off another missile before banking away behind a terminal. "Drop chaff and flares!"
[08:16] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Adagio's sonic rainboom sends three of the four Verts into the ground, the other managing to recover and coming back around, .50s blazing. Meanwhile, Swoop's Vert gets raked by heavy caliber fire, but the rockets both miss.
[08:17] * Swoop drops into a low hover and slides into the open on the side of the terminal, opening up with the guns as well as the rocket pods.
[08:23] * Swept_Wing||GM holds up a hoof, waving a ranger forward. They slowly peer around the corner, waiting a minute before giving the all-clear. Swept steps around the corner, which lead down a short length of tunnel to another set of stairs.
[08:24] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Swoop's return fire rips into one of the Verts, which goes down in a firey explosion as a rocket nailed the fuel tanks.
[08:25] <Swoop> "Take that fucker! Splash two! Confirm!"
[08:25] <Midnight_Runner> Brightwork strained up, not at all seeming to mind the fact he just got a faceful of what was literally an ass of steel. Very littel ever made him stop being cheerful. Midnight looked around the corner as well and trotted after the group, Brightwork following.
[08:27] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20 is currently bearing down on the last runner, almost in range. "Confirmed!" He glances back. "Watch your 6 Swoop!"
[08:28] * Swoop takes immediate evasive, climbing and banking hard away from the building.
[08:30] <Swept_Wing||GM>  The screech of the missile lock warning blares in Swoop's cockpit as the final Vert bears down on her, having gone around while their buddy got downed. Rounds from the gatling gun tear into the right side of the cockpit, and a missile zips out towards Swoop as well.
[08:31] <Swoop> "CHAFF!"
[08:31] * Adagio smiles as she passes the formation dropping three verts, but her elation is cut short by the agonizing pain of large caliber bullets tearing through her hind legs and the sickening feeling of a round rearranging one of her lungs, the stress on her body from the pain and repeated exertions cause her to blackout and scream for the ground uncontrolled,
[08:32] * Swoop doesn't even bink as the rounds rip up the cockpit, concentrating on not crashing more than getting shot.
[08:34] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20 quite literally pulverizes the last running Vertibuck, tearing it nearly in half with 4 rockets. He pulls up. "Specialist Adagio is down!" He yells, bleeding off speed befoe diving after her.
[08:34] <Swoop> "I'll get her! Keep that other flight occupied!"
[08:35] * Swoop looks over at Gale Wind. "You alright?"
[08:35] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20 pulls up again, leveling off. "Roger..." A pair of missiles streak out, one hitting. "...and taken care of."
[08:37] <Midnight_Runner> Brightwork stiffened when he heard the radio call. It was like a switch had flipped, turning him to serious in a second. He keyed the radio and got in contact with the vert pilots. "Get her back ASAP, I'll head back topside to meet you guys and get her stable, it looks fairly quiet here."
[08:37] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Gale Wind isn't quite dead, but will be shortly. She's hanging limply from her harness, 5mm AP rounds having torn into her.
[08:38] <Swoop> "Shit... Shit! 20, Gale's hit! Might not make it! We've gotta get to the ground, you get Adagio!"
[08:40] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20 dives back down after Adagio. "On it!"
[08:40] * Swoop banks back toward the ground. "Ground team ground team, this is Steel 8! I'm comin in hot! Need the medic as soon as I'm down, my copilot's hit bad, over!"
[08:42] * Swept_Wing||GM meanwhile is leading the rest of the squad up the stairs. "Hangars are right above us..." He keys the radio. "Don't you dare let the Lance Corporal die, you hear?"
[08:43] <Swept_Wing||GM>  "Ground team acknowledges, we're standing by."
[08:43] * Adagio strikes the ground at speed and bounces once before sliding to a stop about 500 feet later, she still bleeding badly and unconscious but alive...
[08:44] * Swoop brings it down fast. "Hang in there, Gale..." She hits the hatch open button as soon as the wheels hit tarmac, yelling out the window "Get in here now!"
[08:45] * Swoop reaches over to start undoing Gale's harness so the medics can have an easier time pulling her out.
[08:45] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20 buzzes past before coming around and settling nearby. "Dark! Get her on board! That last Vert's coming!" Dark Cloud gallops down the ramp, dust being kicked up by the rotors, and drags her on board. "Go go go go!"
[08:47] <Midnight_Runner> "Gale's hit as well? Fuck." Brightwork sounded remarkably calm. He turned and ran back for the tarmac, crossing the distance in remarkable speed for how much gear he was carrying. His horn was already lit in a bright purple, floating a medic bag from off his back. "Where is she?" he shouted, coming up to the vert.
[08:48] <Swoop> "Still in harness! I can't get her out by myself!"
[08:49] <Midnight_Runner> "What's the-" Brightwork had already made it to the other side by then and his eyes widened. "Sweet Celestia of Equestria. Honey, can you hear me?" he asked the copilot, ripping open the bag. "What hit her?" he asked Swoop.
[08:50] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20 lifts back off, just in time to avoid the last, damaged Vertibuck's feeble attack, letting it ram into the ground instead of him.
[08:50] * Swoop undoes her own harness to help. "5 mil rounds. I didn't even see the fucker till 20 warned me."
[08:50] <Swoop> Gale Wind just moans quietly, barely concious.
[08:55] <Midnight_Runner> "Good, she's still alive." He didn't have to add barely. "Oh, dear. And I thought novasurge wax a bad time..." Brightwork gently wrapped the mare in the purple glow of his magic, closing his eyes. "Okay..." he mumbled to himself. The glow receeded to just encompassing one of the most severe wounds. "This is gunna get bloody, Swoop. Bandage her up, soon as I say done. My medic bag's here." He kicked it into the cockpit with his hoof.
[08:55] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20's Vertibuck lands, the ramp lowering to reveal Dark Cloud kneeled over Adagio's prone form with a trama kit, doing what he could.
[08:56] * Swoop get's the bandages ready from the bag. "Hang in there, Gale. Don't die."
[08:57] <Midnight_Runner> "She won't. Not if I have a hoof in things." Brightwork spoke in a tone that was pure conviction. He closed his eyes, and his horn flared a bit as he worked. First he removed the bullet, then quickly floated some stuff over to work on closing the vein. His pilot would explain if he knew anything about medicine. AFter a moment the glow faded. "Done, go!"
[08:59] * Swoop bandages as quick as she can, getting the wounds well covered before wrapping the gauze around to secure the bandages down/
[09:00] * Swept_Wing||GM is positioned at the top of the stairs, the Rangers poised to burst through the door into the hangars. "Report!" He says over the radio. "What's the status down there?"
[09:01] <Midnight_Runner> "I should make you my official nurse. You'd look good in that little cap." Like his friend Snowshoe, he kept calm through humour, when he could. He worked on the second most threateing wound. He had to use a powerful healing spell to restore the wound, and it made him a little woozy. Eventually though, the glow cut out. "Again!"
[09:02] * Swoop repeats the process from earlier. "First aid is a required skill for a pilot. Anything else you'd need and I'd be useless."
[09:04] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Both 20/20 and Dark Cloud are working to get Adagio stabalized with help from another Ranger medic.
[09:04] <Swoop> Gale's eyes flash open and she screams in pain.
[09:05] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20 also relays stuff to Swept, cause I don't wanna talk with myself.
[09:05] <Midnight_Runner> Brightwork nodded. "Okay, she should be stable now. The other wounds are bad, but the trauma isn't bad. You guys got friggin' lucky, the bullets had to go through the vert first." He didn't even jump when she screamed. "Hey, honey! Pain means you're still alive. Hiya, I'm Brightwork, and you're one lucky mare." Brightwork floated over a small vial. "Drink this. It'll numb you. You'll need it."
[09:05] <Swoop> Gale drinks for a moment, then coughs. "I guess I got hit?"
[09:06] * Swoop reaches over to her radio. "20/20, what's your status, over?"
[09:07] <Midnight_Runner> "Something like that. I would highly recommend not looking," Brightwork said casually. He tapped his hoof five times, a precise count of five seconds, and then floats out the remaining bullets all at once. "Okay, just gunna clean and bandage these and you'll be right as rain, darling. Gale, right?"
[09:08] <Swoop> Gale nods, trying her hardest to keep her eyes on anything but her own body. "Can I still fly the Vertibuck?"
[09:08] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20: "We're fine, and Adagio is stable... mostly. Get that other medic over here though, it's not pretty either way."
[09:09] <Swept_Wing||GM> "She took a few .50s to the chest and legs, just saying."
[09:09] <Swept_Wing||GM> 20/20 does that*]
[09:09] * Swoop nods. "Roger, 20, he's on his way. Gale's stable." She looks at Brightwork. "You're needed in the other vert, doc."
[09:09] <Midnight_Runner> "Another bit of really good advice right now would be to not move at all. Sorry, Gale, but you're going to have to take it real easy for a while." Brightwork floated over some iodine and cotton balls. "Scuse me. Don't worry, I'm a doctor. And mares don't do it for me," he said, leaning through the door to clean the wounds and bandage them, now that Swoop was occupied. "Roger, dodger. Just gimme a sec."
[09:10] <Swoop> Gale nods. "Thanks, doc. Appreciate it."
[09:12] <Midnight_Runner> "Call me Brightwork, or just Bright. I never got my medical licence," Brightwork said with a smile. He was just kidding...mostly. "That potion'll last another hour. You're really gunna feel it when it wears off, but average painkillers should work. You'll be fine, though." Bright leaned back, covered in blood from having leaned inside. He grabbed his gear and galloped for Adagio.
[09:15] * Swoop sighs and starts powering down the Vertibuck. "Well, assuming there aren't any more Enclave issues, you just lay there, Gale. I'll take care of things."
[09:15] * Adagio screams as she regains consciousness, her drug addled mind still delirious she see's not the ponies trying to help her but the creatures from her nightmares bearing down on her, she begins to thrash incoherently, which thanks to the rainboom was likely causing quite a problem and more damage to her body,
[09:17] <Midnight_Runner> The lanky pale yellow unicorn (though Brightwork's front was now red with blood) came to a stop next to Adagio. "Oh, Celestia above. You, and you-" he pointed a hoof to the two largest ponies nearby. "Hold her down, watch that leg. Adagio! Adagio, honey, my name's Brightwork. I'm Snowshoe's friend, and she told me to take care of you. If you don't stop thrasing, I can't do that, and she'll kick my dick." He sat on his haunches, using his
[09:17] <Midnight_Runner>  He sat on his haunches, using his magic to examine her injuries.
[09:17] <Swept_Wing||GM>  The two largest Rangers hold Adagio down, 20/20 and Dark stepping back.
[09:21] <Swoop> Gale just hangs in the harness. "Might want to help me belt in, just in case..."
[09:22] * Adagio recognizes Snowshoe's name from one of the creatures nearby, she mutters "Snowshoe?" she relaxes slightly, "Where... where is she... how did she get dragged into this?" she screams again even with a collapsed lung she's got a scream that could curl hair, "Get them off me!!!" she starts to thrash again,
[09:23] * Swoop leaves the batteries on but kills the engines, then reaches over to re-secure Gale.
[09:23] <Swept_Wing||GM>  There's a distant crack, and a split second later a round punched through the plexiglass windshield of Swoop's Vert, hitting Swoop in the right foreleg.
[09:24] * Swoop screams. "Awwww fuck!! Sniper!"
[09:24] <Midnight_Runner> "She isn't here. She sent me along instead." Brightwork winced. Yeah, this wasn't going to work. "Sorry, they're my unofficial nurses. Darling, I have to do this, you have a collapsed lung." He pressed his horn to her side, and hit her with an anasthesia spell. "Count to five with me, honey. One, two..." by the time he reached five, she'd be out cold. He heard the shot and grunted. "For fuck's sake!" it wasn't often Brightwork cursed, so
[09:24] <Adagio> her pupils are pinpricks and the edges of her eyes have burst several capilaries through her pain she's crying tears mixed with blood, all symptoms lead to one solution, she's still dosed with rainboom
[09:26] * Swoop pulls herself out of harness, then quickly pulls Gale out, bringing her behind the cockpit. Both flop onto the deck as Swoop hits her radio. "Sniper! Sniper on the field!"
[09:26] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Another shot rings out, this one hitting Brightwork square in the flank, because lol.
[09:33] * Swoop cradles her hoof as she reaches for the trauma kit behind the cockpit, pulling out a bandage and wrap.
[09:35] * Adagio stops thrashing but is still conscious, though slurring her words,  "Get'm offa me..." she tries to resist once more but the feeble attempt barely budges her limbs let alone the two rangers restraining her,
[09:35] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Yet another shot is fired, Proverb having failed to see the sniper. This one hits Dark Cloud square in the chest, the Corporal going down hard as he was diving for cover. By this time all the Rangers were behind cover, though none had managed to spot the sniper.
[09:36] * Swoop and gale both cringe as the shot rings out. "For fuck sakes! Someone take that asshole out!"
[09:36] <Midnight_Runner> "I seriously don't have the fucking time for this!" Brightwork said, despite getting shot in the flank. He makes a quick triage of himself, yanks the bullet out with a burst of magic, and then quickly patches himself up before looking at Adagio. "Get fucking suppressing fire on that sniper!" He started to work on Adagio. "Adagio, honey, I need you stay calm and stop talking. You're hit, bad." -c-
[09:37] <Midnight_Runner> The lanky unicorn closed his eyes, focusing on a powerful healing spell for her lung. It was going to take a lot of effort, and a lot of time, but he didn't have a surgical suite to work on this. He hadn't been aticipating high calibre, AP-esque rounds.
[09:39] <Swept_Wing||GM>  A fourth shot rings out, punching into 20/20's side. The burly Sergeant grunts and goes down, tumbling backwards onto the ramp next to Brightwork.
[09:40] <Swept_Wing||GM> Proverb finally manages to spot the enemy sniper, and three sharp, rapid cracks ring out from her SVD. The other sniper is no more.
[09:43] * Adagio finally focuses well enough to understand that he wasn't going to hurt her and let him do his work, plus the blue friendly bars in her helm said they were ok...
[09:46] <Midnight_Runner> Brightwork heard the sound of a pony hit the ground next to him, but that was it. He was too focused on making sure Adagio's lung didn't collapse. There were no more cracks though, and he figured somepony had shot the sniper. It took a long time, but he finally had the lung sorta patched. It wasn't going to be pissing air, but it wasn't going to work perfectly for a few days.
[09:46] * Swoop sighs. "Who's bright idea was this trip anyway..." She keys her radio. "Swept, are you guys almost done yet?"
[09:49] <Swept_Wing||GM> "We're hung up at the door. It's barricaded something fierce. You don't happen to have any C4 out there, do you?"
[09:50] * Swoop grins. "Best I can afford you is a missile. Probably overkill."
[09:51] * Swept_Wing||GM hmmms. "Try a pair of the rockets instead. That'll work better."
[09:52] <Swoop> "Gimme a minute, and get clear."
[09:53] * Adagio is now pleasantly buzzed and still riding the high from the rainboom, the spell diminishing the pain in her hind legs, she takes a moment to lean forward and look at them, bad idea... she was looking at bone and shreds of her muscles, flesh, and armor...
[09:53] * Swoop carefully gets up and pulls Gale out the back of the Vert. "Hey! Somepony get over here and get her clear! I need to lift off!"
[09:53] <Swept_Wing||GM> "Roger, the roof's partially caved in where we are, hit that." He waves the rest of the squad back down the stairs.
[09:54] <Midnight_Runner> Brightwork sat back a bit, opening his eyes. He looked significantly more tired, and was swaying a bit as he moved to examine Adagio's leg. "Almost there. Oh, this is rough," he mumbled. The bullet appeared to have done a number on the bone. "Adagio, your leg's broken somethin' fierce. You're uh...not going to be running. Not for a long time." -c-
[09:54] * Swoop helps the ground troops pull Gale clear, then limps back aboard to lift off. She'a airborne within minutes.
[09:56] <Midnight_Runner> He examined it further. He might have enough juice to kinda stitch the bones together, but if she put weight on it afterwards, it'd just break. Not to mention, there were other ponies. "Wait...I think I have a healing potion..." he mumbled, blinking a bit. "Might not be enough to fully fix this though."
[09:57] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Swoop easily locates the indicated area to blow up. It's on the hall leading to the center hangar.
[09:57] * Swoop angles toward the building indicated. "Ok, Swept, heads down. Incoming fire!"
[09:57] <Swept_Wing||GM> "Incoming!"
[09:58] * Swept_Wing||GM ducks and covers.
[09:58] * Swoop fires off two rockets, blowing the door completly off the hinges.
[09:58] <Midnight_Runner> Midnight follows suite to Swept, getting showered in a bit of dust from the blast. "Cool," he said, grinning.
[09:58] * Adagio chuckles a bit, "healing potions... here..." she tries to move her hoof to her bandoleer... nope still restrained... "Pink..."
[09:59] <Swept_Wing||GM> Meanwhile, 20/20 was totally being the badass, pulling the sniper's bullet out of his side, spitting it out. "Bah!"
[10:00] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Dust and rubble fills the hall and stairs, clearing slowly.
[10:00] <Swoop> "Knock knock... anypony home?"
[10:00] <Midnight_Runner> "This'll hurt, honey, but the bulk of it's done." Brightwork retrieved the potion for her and passed it to her, then looked at the leg. "Hold on a sec." He wrapped her damaged leg in a purple glow, then as gingerly as possible reset the bones into their proper position, like a puzzle. "Drink it."
[10:00] * Swept_Wing||GM leads the squad slowly up the stairs. "Let's find out..."
[10:01] * Adagio would drink the potion but... full enclosure helms and all that kinda stop that...
[10:01] <Midnight_Runner> Midnight poked his head through. His flashlight was dimming, so he retrieved it between his teeth, shook it again (causing it to clack loudly) and turned it back on, the light a little brighter now. He set it back on his barding.
[10:01] * Swept_Wing||GM pushes into the hangar, the Rangers spreading out to cover the pilots. It seemed to be clear at the moment...
[10:02] <Swoop> "I'll stay on station till you're out. Fuel is... okay."
[10:02] <Midnight_Runner> "Oh. Right. Armour. Sorry, I just flung a lot of mojo around. Bit woozy," Brightwork explained, working to get the helmet unstuck. It wasn't a model he was familiar with though, and he frowned for a moment before figuring it out. "Ah, here we are..." he gently pulled the helmet off the zony.
[10:02] <Swept_Wing||GM> "Negative Swoop. Land and conserve your fuel."
[10:03] <Swoop> "We'll be fine, Swept. Just get the shit and let's go home. I'm not taking anymore chances."
[10:04] <Swept_Wing||GM>  The roof on the hangar is closed, btw.
[10:05] * Swoop doesn't care. She's had enough surprises for one night. She has fuel aplenty for the trip back.
[10:05] * Adagio chuckles as the seals pop and the air hisses out of her helm depressurizing, around her eyes are matted streaks from tears and blood her nose is starting to bleed as well, she's very obviously under the influence of a powerful combat chem,
[10:06] <Swept_Wing||GM>  One of the Rangers turns to Swept. "All clear sir. I believe those are the Ver- GAH!" A pink beam of energy lances out from behind one of the Verts parked in the hangar, hitting the Ranger square in the chest. "CONTACT!"
[10:08] * Swept_Wing||GM hits the floor as the hangar erupts with magical energy beams. Another Ranger goes down before the other 8 get behind cover and start returning fire.
[10:08] <Midnight_Runner> Brightwork smiled softly, seeing the look in her eyes. Chems, and something fierce. He retrieves a cotton ball and gently dabs the blood and tears from her eyes and nose. "Ha, so there's the face to the name. I get what Snowshoe meant, you're rather pretty." He nodded to the potion. "Drink that." Meanwhile...
[10:09] <Midnight_Runner> Down in the hangar, Midnight, who was closest to the Ranger hit, helped drag him out of the way. He threads a hoof through the hole in his AK's stock and grabs the bit, adding his volume of fire to the mix.
[10:09] * Swoop sees the lights of the beans thru the windows of the hangar. "Swept, you alright?"
[10:10] <Swoop> "What's going on in there?"
[10:10] <Swept_Wing||GM> "Steel Wings! Move move move!" Swept is quite literally shoving his pilots into the ground crew access hallway, out of the way. "Ambush Swoop!" He yelps as a beam grazes his mane.
[10:11] <Swoop> "Which end of the hangar? I've got twenty rockets left."
[10:12] <Swept_Wing||GM>  The fire is coming from behind and around the parked Vertibucks at the far end of the hangar. Whoever was shooting was behind really good cover.
[10:12] <Swept_Wing||GM> "Far end! Don't you dare shoot those Verts!"
[10:13] <Midnight_Runner> "This doesn't look like raiders," Midnight grumbled as he reloaded. "Raiders don't usually have MEWs. And this couldn't just be a fucking cakewalk..." he looked around to see if there was a place for him to flank, through sneaking.
[10:13] <Swoop> "Between losing you or the parts, the choice is obvious." She locks on to the back part of the building with four rockets. "Fire in the hole!"
[10:14] * Swept_Wing||GM is moving with his squad of pilots slowly around the right edge of the hangar, a large amount of pistol fire covering their advance. "Shit! Hit the de-aaargh!"
[10:15] * Adagio looks at the phial and swallows the contents, between the healing magic and the bright fruity flavor of the potion itself there was a cooling numbing effect that made everything seem fine, "Ooooh yesh, tha's the shtuff..."
[10:16] <Midnight_Runner> Midnight Runner slipped out from behind cover, circling left while Swept's squad moved right. He couldn't see what properly happened, and his thick barding prevented most of the shrapnel from hurting him. "Swept, report," he said over radio. Meanwhile...
[10:16] <Midnight_Runner> Brightwork smiled and nodded. He tossed the cottonball aside and used another to finish the job of cleaning her face. "There. Now, if you'll excuse me, another stallion needs my attention. They all seem to," he joked, standing to find the source of the thump he'd heard while fixing Adagio's lung.
[10:17] * Swept_Wing||GM 's responce is just the loud crack of his PPC, and him shouting "GET DOWN! I'M FINE!"
[10:17] * Swoop peers into the hole she made, looking for targets.
[10:18] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Swoop's rockets tore the rear doors clean off, exposing no less than 20 Enclave troops in full power armor firing away at the 8 rangers, PMC, and 14 pilots.
[10:19] <Swoop> "Hi, boys." She opens up on them with the guns, trying her best to not hit the Verts stored inside.
[10:20] <Midnight_Runner> Midnight finishes his circling around, taking careful aim with his AK. He had...maybe three bursts before they'd spot him, or realize it, and he wanted to make them count. He pulls the bit of his rifle, letting out a practiced three-shot burst at the nearest Enclave soldier.
[10:22] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Swoop's 20mm tears into the Enclavers, ripping three in half, one disappearing in a red mist, and the other 16 going down full of holes.
[10:22] <Swoop> "How's THAT for fire support??"
[10:23] <Midnight_Runner> "Briings a tear to my eye," Midnight said over the radio, chuckling.
[10:23] <Swoop> "We aim to please."
[10:26] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Swoop sees movement from beneath one of the Verts, a single Enclave soldier rolling out from beneath it, wielding a Big Fuckoff Cannon (TM).
[10:27] * Swoop goes wide-eyed. "Oh that can't be good. "She banks away as quickly as she can, sliding away.
[10:30] * Adagio watches in detached fascination as her hind legs simply start mending before her eyes, the flesh that survived bearing the remains of her coat and the fresh pink skin that tied it all together, soon everything would be good and she could get back in the fight,
[10:31] <Midnight_Runner> Brightwork finishes his rounds of the other ponies hit by the sniper. By the end of it, having used magical, mundane, and potion-based healing, he was tired, but still wore a pleased smile on his face as he stood, looking around. Yeah. He was good.
[10:32] <Swept_Wing||GM>  The pony is standing behind the Verts, so the only one who might have a clear shot of him is Midnight_Runner. He swings the BFoC towards Swoop firing. It rips straight through her Vert's tail, nearly severing it completely.
[10:34] <Midnight_Runner> The shot alerts Midnight to the pony's location. He spits out a vicious curse in Ruskin, before taking aim and letting out multiple three-round bursts, emptying half his magazine at the Enclave pegasus with the Big Fuckoff Cannon (tm).
[10:34] * Swoop cuts the rotors immediately as she starts to spin out, letting them lose momentum on their own, as she was trained. "This is gonna hurt... "Steel 8 goin down, repeat, Steel 8 goin-" The vert hits the ground before she can finish her mayday.
[10:35] * Adagio relaxes, with any luck the rangers would let her go soon, and then she could do something to help,
[10:36] <Swept_Wing||GM>  Midnight_Runner's round fly true, knocking the Enclaver down, not to get back up again.
[10:37] <Midnight_Runner> "Son of a fucking bitch!" Brightwork curses, watching the vert careen to the ground. "I just patched their copilot up!" he grabbed his medical gear and made a run for the crash, swaying a bit as he did.
[10:38] <Swoop> the vert rolls twice before coming to rest upside down. Swoop just hangs in harness, knocked out by the landing.
[10:38] <Swept_Wing||GM> "SWOOP!" Swept surges to his hooves, charging towards the crashed Vert. "Nonononono!"
[10:39] * Adagio smiles at the individuals holding her, "Mind letting me up? I'm pretty well fixed..." she takes her time speaking to avoid slurring her words, "And I can help,"
[10:39] <Swept_Wing||GM>  The rangers grunt, and let Adagio up.
[10:40] <Swoop> Gale watches the crash, mouth agape and eyes wide. "Oh shit... Swoop..."
[10:40] <Midnight_Runner> Brightwork comes to a skidding halt near the pilot. "Talk to me, nurse Swoop," he said, looking at her. He grunted, before trying to assess her injuries, mostly manually, having run his mojo nearly dry.
[10:41] * Swoop mumbles something, still unconcious.
[10:41] * Swept_Wing||GM quite literally pulls the ramp open, charging inside. "SWOOP!"
[10:42] <Midnight_Runner> "Touch her and I'll end you," Brightwork snapped quickly at Swept. "If she has a broken back or other such injury, you'll only make it worse. She's alive, just let me work."
[10:42] * Adagio stands a bit unsteady at first before collecting her helm, and resealing it, "Thanks because the alternative was I make you move..." she sighs as the helm lights up once more and she activates her comms, "Specialist Adagio reporting, sit rep please?"
[10:43] <Midnight_Runner> "The official term is FUBAR, Adagio," Midnight Runner said over the radio, kicking the enclave pegasus he'd shot in the head before going to examine the weapon.
[10:43] * Swept_Wing||GM stumbles back, keying his comm. "FUBAR Specialist."
[10:43] * Swoop starts to come back to conciousness slowly. "...whu..."
[10:45] * Adagio shakes her head and tries to clear the funk from her mind, "Goddesses what I'd give for a fixer..." she chuckles, "Anywhere you need a medic or just something fucked up?"
[10:47] * Swept_Wing||GM grunts. He eithier hasn't noticed, or is ignoring the fact that the left side of his flight uniform is a very dark red. "Swoop!"
[10:47] <Midnight_Runner> "Heya, Swoop. Glad to see you're still with us. You're in it something fierce." Brightwork keyed his radio. "Adagion, honey, got any more of those healing potions? We're gunna need one...I'm nearly dry on magic for the time being, and Swoop's hurt bad." In the meantime, he used some bandages and iodine to clean the major cuts.
[10:48] * Swoop looks around in a semi-concious state, then, "I am Swoop... the famous flying ace... when I go down... I go down in flames..."
[10:49] * Swept_Wing||GM chuckles, which devolves into a grunt of pain. "Yes you do sis."
[10:51] * Swoop tries to raise a foreleg to undo her harnes. "I don't think... Are legs supposed to be angled like that?"
[10:52] <Midnight_Runner> "No. Swoop, don't move, please. We're getting some potions here, hopefully. Just relax a bit, eh?" Brightwork said, smiling a bit.
[10:52] * Adagio smiles despite herself and runs a hoof over her bandoleer, "Um, you gave me... oh this is not good..." she flaps her wings a couple times and keys in on the area the vert went down, arriving she doles out two of her regular strength healing potions and one fresh super restoration potion, "Here you go..." she passes the phials over with a wing,
[10:53] * Swoop goes limp in the harness. "Swept... can we go home yet?"
[10:53] <Midnight_Runner> "Brilliant, thanks." Brightwork helped get them to Swoop, who was probably unable to move much with her injuries. "Drink this, you'll feel better." Meanwhile, Midnight Runner prodded the Big Fuckoff Cannon (tm) gently, still inside the hangar. He debated taking it with them.
[10:53] * Swept_Wing||GM grunts, chancing a look down at his side. "Well, that's not good..." He mutters to himself, looking back up at Swoop, gritting his teeth. "Once we get your Vert fixed... yeah, we can."
[10:55] * Swoop looks at Swept. "Oh... shit did I blow you up?" She takes the bottle into her mouth and drinks, sputtering a little because it's hard to drink upside down.
[10:55] <Swept_Wing||GM>  The BFoC really doesn't look much like a cannon, more like a rifle of some sort, though it was obviously extremely powerful.
[10:56] * Swept_Wing||GM grunts. "Nope... Enclave got me, pretty good." He pants. "I'm fine... don't worry."
[10:56] * Swoop looks at Bright. "Doc.. fix him first.. I'll just hang out for a bit..." Her eyes close as she passes out.
[10:57] <Midnight_Runner> Midnight collected the rifle, being careful not to set it off. Brightwork on the other hoof looked over at Swept, climbing into the vert. He nodded to Swoop, then looked again at Swept. "Lemme see that wound of yours, then we can help get her down. I think the potion's got her stable."
[10:59] * Swept_Wing||GM is fighting to stay concious, leaning against the wall of the Vert. He grunts something in the affimative in responce.
[10:59] * Adagio looks over at Swoop and kneels, "Oh that's never a good sign," she looks for a wound
[11:00] <Swept_Wing||GM> "Do... Swoop... first... I'm... fine..."
[11:00] <Midnight_Runner> "You two are impossible. Good thing I don't listen or nobody'd get fixed." Brightwork floats over the normal potion to Swept, helping him take it. "She's hurt mostly on the inside. Don't worry, Adagio. I got this," he said with a confident smile, gently unhooking Swoop and carrying her on his back to the open back of the vert.
[11:02] * Swept_Wing||GM groans, slumping against the side of the Vert as his side started to mend.
[11:03] * Swept_Wing||GM keys his radio. "Dark, 20/20, start examining the Verts. Anything that's not flyable strip for parts and bring them to Swoop's Vert. We're not going anywhere without it fixed."
[11:05] <Swoop> Gale Wind gets herself to her hooves. "I can help. Where do you need me?"
[11:06] * Swept_Wing||GM stumbles out of the Vert. "All pilots to the hangar, DCR and PMCs set up a perimiter. We're gonna be here awhile."
[11:07] <Midnight_Runner> Brightwork gently set Swoop down in a position that made it easy for him to administer the potion, even with her not being all there at the moment. It being the extra-strength one, it would probably help significantly. He sighed and leaned against the vert wall. "None of you guys die. Medic's taking a nap."
[11:07] <Midnight_Runner> (he says over the radio)
[11:09] * Adagio stays kneeling and does a self diagnosis, Head injury, check, lung wound, check, hind legs shredded, check, rainboom used, check, super restoration potion blended with med-x, check, and major healing magic used check, on the plus side she'd be a tank for a day, on the down side: the crash would put her in a coma,
[11:09] <Swoop> Gale trot/limps over to the crashed Vert. "Oh boy... Ok, I need some of you to help me flip this thing over. We've got alot of work to do."
[11:10] <Swept_Wing||GM>  ***SESSION END***
