Personal History
士官学院生活を経て再度音楽の道を志す
After attending the military academy, i aspire to follow the path of music once more.

音楽家だった母や姉の影響で、自身も音楽家への道を目指していたエリオット。音楽の確かな才能もあったが、帝都の音楽院への進路を父オーラフに反対されたとき、一度は音楽の道をあきらめてしまう。
Thanks to the influence of his mother and sister who were both musicians, Elliot aimed to become a musician as well. While he had a certain talent for music, but his father, Olaf, opposed his plan to enroll in the Heimdallr Music Academy, making him give up his music path.

だが、VII組でリインたちと過ごすなかで心身ともに成長。自分の将来について父と話し合い、トールズ卒業後に音楽院に進学する許しを得た。
However, while spending time with Rean in Class VII, he grew mentally and physically. He talked to his dad and got permission to go to the Music Academy after graduating from Thors.

音楽院では専門的なレッスンを受け、わずか1年で卒業。念願のプロデビューを果たしたあとは、帝国各他を巡業し、VII組の仲間と連絡を取り合いながらリインをサポートした。
He took specialized lessons at the Music Academy and graduated in just one year. After making his long-awaited professional debut, he toured the Empire. All the while, he supported Rean and kept in touch with the members of Class VII.

	April | 旧都セントアークでリインと再会。新VII組をサポートする
		Reunited with Rean in the old capital St. Arkh. Supported New Class VII.
	August | クロスベルでの《アルカンシェル》練習公演で音楽の技術指導を行い、再び鬼教官として恐れられる
		He gave technical guidance on music at the "Arc en Ciel" practice 			performance at Crossbell, and was feared as a demon instructor again.
	September | リインたちとともに戦い《黄昏》到来を食い止める
			Fights alongside Rean to stop the Great Twilight.

音楽家だった母のピアノを聴きながら育ったエリオット。その影響で音楽の道を志すが、彼の晴れ姿を見る前に母は他界する。
Elliot grew up listening to his mother, a musician, play the piano. Because of this, he aspired to become a musician, but his mother passed away before he reached that goal.

エリオットの進路に反対するオーラフ。衷には反対されても自分の意志を貫き通す"強さ"を持ってほしいという親心があった。
Olaf opposes Elliot's path. Internally, he wanted Elliot to have the strength to stick to his own will even if his father opposed it.

中性的な風貌と優しい性格のためか、エリオットはVII組の誰とも衝突したことがなく、関係は良好。ただし、音楽に関しては一切受協せず、普段の彼からは想像もできない威圧感を発するため、音楽関連で彼に逆らうことはタブーとされている。
Elliot hasn't collided with anyone in Class VII, perhaps due to his neutral appearance and gentle personality, and overall their relationships are good. However, when it comes to music, it's taboo to go against him because he doesn't back down and gives off a feeling of intimidation that you wouldn't normally imagine.

最初の友人となったリインと、士官学院祭のライブをともに演出したクロウとはとくに仲がいい。VII組以外は、同じ吹奏楽部のミントとよく話している姿が見られる。
Rean, his first friend at Thors, and Crow, who directed the School Festival Concert together with him, are especially close to Elliot. Outside of Class VII, he can often be seen talking to Mint from Wind Orchestra.

家族はエリオットを溺愛しており、父オーラフと進路の件でもめたあとも、その愛情に変わりはなかった。
His family are fond of Elliot, and his love remains the same even after he had a conflict with his father Olaf.

母親の優しい音楽を聴きながら育ったエリオットは素晴らしい演奏が人の心を感動させ、いやすことに確信を持っている。そのため彼は、音楽を力を生かすことで、混迷の時代に突入した帝国の人々を平和に導こうと考え、行動した。
「閃IV」では　“兄い”の影響下にある民衆や競走馬の心を音楽で静めるなど、音楽の力を実証する。
Growing up listening to his mother's gentle music, Elliot is confident of music's ability to impress and heal. Therefore, he decided to lead the people of the Empire from an era of turmoil to peace utilizing the power of music.
CS4 demostrates the power of music, such as when it calmed the hearts of people and racehorses who were under the influence of "The Curse".

Craig Family
エリオットの父は、帝国正規軍でも最強と名高い第四機甲師団を率いるオーラフ　クレイグ大将。彼は以前、リインの実父オズボーンが軍属だったときの直属の部下でもあった。リインが孤児となりシュバルツァー男爵家に引き取られる前に、直接会ったこともあるという。そんなオーラフの息子のエリオットがリインと級友になったのは不思議な縁といえる。
Elliot's father is General Olaf Craig, who leads the 4th Armored Division, which is reknowned to be the strongest in the Imperial Army. He was also a subordinate to Rean's birth father, Osborne, when he was younger. Olaf had met Rean in person before he became an orphan and taken in by Baron Schwarzer. He feels it's a happy twist of fate that his own son, Elliot, became classmates with Rean.

姉のフィオナはエリオットと同じく、母の影響で音楽家を目指し、帝都の音楽院を経てプロになっている。オーラフの部下のナイトハルトとは、いつの間にかいい仲に。「閃IV」では結婚も間近といった雰囲気になっていたが、娘を溺愛するオーラフはまだ納得できていない様子。クレイグ家が今後どうなるのかも気になるところだ。
Like Elliot, his older sister Fiona also inspired to become a musician due to their mother's influence. After attending Heimdallr Music Academy, she become a professional. Before anyone knew it, she became involved with her father's subordinate, Neithardt. As of CS4, the atmosphere around them indicates that marriage is immiment, but Olaf, who dotes on his daughter, is not yet convinced. It's a wonder what the Craig family will be like in the future.

Elliot: は～、なんとか勝てたね
Elliot: Ah, I managed to win.

右手に魔道杖を持ち、左手で胸をなでおろす。戦闘での勝利よりも、自分を含めた仲間たちの無事を喜んでいるような、エリオットらしい勝利ポーズだ。このポーズは全作品を通して同じだが、「閃I」などのトールズ士官学院時代は、動きにエリオットの気弱さや、戦闘での自信のなさが見え隠れしていた。「閃III」　以降はやや余裕が感じられるたたずまいで、エリオットの精神的な成長が見て取れる。
Holding onto his orbal staff with his right hand, and putting his hand on his chest with his left. True to Elliot, this victory pose is more about him being happy about he and his friends being safe rather than winning the battle. This pose has remained the same throughout the series, but during his Thors Academy days such as CS1, Elliot's weakness and lack of self-confidence are in the movements. After CS3, he moves with more confidence, showing Elliot's growth.

さまざまな経験を積んだためか、気弱さではなく、頼もしさが感しられるようになった。
Perhaps because of various experiences, I have come to feel reliable rather than weak.
