  3. On Saturday, the 27th of July 2013 we will demonstrate together against PRISM, TEMPORA, INDECT und das Utah Data Center! Worldwide! Solidarity for Ed Snowden, Bradley Manning and other Whistleblowers!

Everyone should ask themselves as Edward Snowden did: Do I really want to live in a society where a runaway police state can invade my privacy on a daily basis, where warantless wiretaping can record and store my every move and thought in the digital world? Do I want to be a citizen or a subject?

  7. We are saying: Stop PRISM! Stop TEMPORA! Stop INDECT! Prevent the Utah Data Center from becoming reality! We all have the right to privacy and confidential communications, whether for business or for pleasure! And we are demanding these rights be upheld on the 27th of July 2013 in a joint street protest.

  9. Protests will be held in cities around the world – as well as in numerous German cities, we are calling for all to come together and to collectively demand that they Stop Watching Us!

  11. There are no organizations behind #StopWatchingUs, it is simply a conglomeration of concerned citizens who won’t tolerate any longer that their fundamental rights are being trampled upon. You are invited join us.

  13. We won’t tolerate inhumane ideologies or calls for violence. We are radically peaceful, yet determined to defend ourselves against unwarranted surveillance.

  15. #StopWatchingUs is primarily a platform on which we will set out to discuss the basis of basic democratic principles, and examine the question of how we would like to shape the society in which we live.

We do not wish to live in a society in which it is impossible for a doctor to communicate confidentially with a patient, or for a lawyer to exchange with a client, or for a chaplain to engage with a help-seeker, or for a priest who is bound by confessional seal to receive the confession of a penitent.
  18. Our private correspondence is strictly nobody’s business, other than for the chosen addressee.
  19. We do not wish to live in a world where economic espionage is an commonplace occurence.

  21. We do not wish for our children to live in a world in which their love letters are collected & stored in a data center. We do not want to live in a world in which politicians and other decision-makers could potentially be vulnerable to blackmail because snippets of information can be retrieved at will from their private correspondence and be used against them if they should be unwilling to play along with the dirty game of corruption.

These protests will increase in number and in size until PRISM, TEMPORA, INDECT, as well as the warehousing taking place at the Utah Data Center and other monitoring facilities are successfully halted. Legal action will be taken against those responsible for the continuation of the monitoring programs.

We also demanding for the protection and freedom for Edward Snowden, Gustl Mollath, Bradley Manning, Julian Assange, John Kiriakou, Jeremy & Jason Hammond, Barrett Brown, and all other political activists and whistleblowers. We demand an end to the criminalization of peaceful dissent and the ongoing political persecution of information and human rights activists!

  27. We are also calling for a broad societal debate about the so-called “war on terror”. It is merely a deceitful construct and its legitimacy is collapsing. We want to know the real reasons behind so much suffering and death worldwide!

  29. The demonstration will start in Berlin on Saturday, July 27th 2013 at 2 p.m. at Kottbusser Tor and will eventually end up at the Brandenburg Gate. For more rally dates in other German cities, check out:
