  4. Background: The words of the forest have spoken and thus they call forth for Lotus to be judged and tested. Their resolve to pursue their path will be known by all the spirits thus a grand trial will take place. One that will pit Lotus against the cruelty that derives from nature. Only then can they take forth their path with the blessing of the Spirits and Nature.

  6. Event Setting: As the Player Arrives upon the dried leaves of the forest they can hear the rustling of bushes and the swooshing of the winds breezing through the trees. The forest smells of oak trees and dried sap a strong odor that lingers in your nostrils. As the Player arrives deeper into the forest they happen upon a tree. One twisted and corrupted by the less unsavory spirits and still yet it is a champion of Nature and its boundaries. It will be the trial giver for Lotus and determine whether or not they can be worthy of Being its champion.

  8. Prolouge:
  9. Arriving at the Trial tree they introduce themselves and explain what each trial will have in store for the Player. If they are successful in completing each task they will be awarded the Forest spirits blessing a power that is lost upon many and very few are able to obtain.

  11. The trial, however, is determined by the choices made by the Player themselves the ent is only an Observer.
  12. NPC: Trial Giver Ent
  13. - Gives the Player options on which path to take
  14. -Small items that allow the player to make their choice
  15. -As Nature is neutral the Ent does not care whether or not the player is Chaotic or Good.

  17. Trial 1: The Awakened
  18. The first trial is given by the Ent through a seedling. The seed is explained to be able to absorb the nature of the person holding it as well as expand upon their fate being altered in some way and determine their fate accordingly. The seedling is special and can only bloom through the advancement of growth and development of a person soul Enriched with Spiritual power Thus the Trial Goer is given a task.

The path to the right contains the blood-soaked lands that were once a battlefield of the Gehennan Warriors and spirits, fighting against unwilling Villagers and Warriors who declared themselves enemies of Gehenna. Many still remain there and have taken a stance against Gehennan Rule. They have pacted with the Mother of the Summer forest Asena and their goal is to be in opposition of Gehenna and their practices. Many of which have received her blessing first hand. Only then can the trial be passed and the seedling begins its first steps towards blooming.
  20. Thus the Trial goer beings their first trial to do just that.

  22. Approaching the village is not easy, Many scouts surround the edges of the Village and the Trial Goer must roll a dice to decide if they are capable of sneaking past the guards Unless they choose to attack them head-on.

  24. > Must roll higher than a 3 to sneak past guards if successful no combat
  25. > If not 3 Waves of Summons and Villagers are placed on High alert.

  27. As the trial goer gets closer they are able to notice The howling of Wolfs. Tamed by the Village they are mutated and by the effects of the benevolent Wolf of Summer Asena they are all silver hounds with tremendous mana of their own. They are bonded with the spirits that pledged themselves to the wayward tribe. Avoiding them would be impossible.

  29. EC: Silver Claw - An Beta wolf Influenced by the effects of Asena
  30. -Moderately powerful EC *slightly weaker than the Player*
  31. - Uses Wind/Energy/and Time Magic
  32. - Able to summon wolf Allies to aid it in combat during the second fight

  34. Once the Silver has been Quelled the Trial goer Is given the option to allow its Spirit to move on or to Let the Seedling Absorb it. The spirit of the blessing of Asena being Absorbed through the blood of the wolf by planting the seed within the body the Seedling wraps around the Wolf eventually consuming it this would be seen no less as a cruel act towards a Spirit.

  36. >Seed Influenced by Chaotic power if the Beast Spirit is Absorbed. The seed turns Silver.
  37. >If the Beast Spirit is released the Seed does not grow and remains the same color

As the trial Goer dispatched the greatest threat the Army of wolfs they are not barred by any of the villagers and They are approached by one of the Village Elders and they are given the option to Challenge the Cheif in single combat. Although they have the option of Destroying the village in bloody murder as well.

  41. Depending on which they choose different outcomes will occur.
  42. Option A: Fighting the Cheiftan in Single Combat the Villagers will use this battle to flee away from them towards Saftey
  43. EC: White Scar- The Chieftan of The Sun Fang Tribe and a decorated warrior amongst many others. Has a Deep White Scar on his Chest
  44. -Moderate scaling should be a difficult challenging foe to face.
  45. -HolyTempest, Wind, Holy, Vaccum Vortex
  46.  
  47. Upon Defeating the Chieftan in Single Combat and the seedling is planted in the skull of the White Scar The seed will have effects based on the previous choices.

  49. >If it has absorbed the wolf spirit it will completely devour the Chieftans body Killing him by the many hungry roots devouring him whole. Turning the Seed Crimson.

  51. > If the spirit has not been absorbed the seeds are planted into the skull of the Cheiftan while he is still alive and his screams fill the air of the forest as he feels himself being tortured. After which the will turn a deep shade of green

  54. Option B: Slaying the defenseless Villagers and absorbing their bodies with the Seed. Allowing it to grow to the size of an orange.
  55. EC: White Scar-The Cheiftan has heard the screams of his people and has come forth enraged beyond belief He will be a more difficult foe to face and Thus the Blessings of Asena show forth to give him power. Transforming him into a White Wolf with A single Scar on his Chest.
  56. - Melee, Wind, FlashSword, Ultra Smash,
  57. -Very Challenging induced by Rage and will be about the same if not slightly stronger than the PC

  59. >If the Seedling has Absorbed The villagers/Silver Claw/And White Scar the Seed will be Black
  60.  
  61. >If White Scar is Killed In wolf form and the seedling is planted the seed will turn white after absorbing the Cheiftan's power.
  62.  
  63. 2nd Trial: Revelation
  64. The Player returns to the Ent and shows them the seed so they can be inspected and their next trial is given. No matter the outcome the Ent reacts no specific way but the difference of the seed Determines the next trial.

  66. Green Seed: The PC will have to answer a riddle for their next this trial. The Lingering Spirits of the Forest grant you a boon for answering correctly
  67. (+1 on your Injury Roll)
  68. (If they fail to answer the riddle in less than 30 minutes they receive a temp Injury)

  70. Riddle: "A thousand colored folds stretch toward the sky,
  71. Atop a tender strand,
  72. Rising from the land,
  73. 'Til killed by maiden's hand,
  74. Perhaps a token of love, perhaps to say goodbye."
  75. Answer: A flower

  77. Injury: Curse of the Forest -5 vit
  78. Your wisdom of the Forest has been called into question you cannot be a practitioner of nature if you are dull of its intricacies. This injury feeds upon your spirit making your body weaker. A way to hinder you during the final Trial

  81. Crimson Seed: The blood of the Chieftan combined with the Spirit of the Silver Claw combine to create to give the seed a shining gleam. Despite the cruelty that had been shown towards the Spirit of the wolf the Spirits that Linger know that the Trial Goer has the potential and respect for life and thus they do not attack but blood is required to make the seedling grow even further and thus a sacrfice is to be made to apease the spirits.
  82. Temp Injury: Offering of blood -5 vit
  83. Because you absorbed the spirits of the wolf you must now offer your blood to apease the spirits you've awaked with your acts of Violence.

  85. White Seed: The next trial will be to face the Spirit of White Scar In spirit form. They placed the Skull head of the once great beast on the altar and Their spirit is summoned to once again battle the PC this time with more deadly powers.

  87. EC- White Scar Spirit Form- An ethereal being brought back from the brink of death only to be forced to combat once more. Its rage is unyielding and its powers to twist the earth into its shape has grown as well.
  88. -Very powerful slightly above the character's stats.
  89. -HolyTempest/Wind/Holy/Vaccum Vortex/Harmonic Attunement
  90. -The wolfs body is Ethereal so it cannot make physical attacks but in return, its spiritual powers have grown significantly
  91.  
  92. Black Seed:They PC has A color obtained only through Horrendous acts of nature. There are lingering resentments held on by the spirits towards the PCs choices however as the spirit of the wolf is channeled Chaotic forces begin to warp the nature around the PC the Spirits finding this Chaotic power to be a threat to some degree thus they attack the PC viciously. If they want their ritual to be completed and the chaotic powers to be released in full they must fend off the Spirits and protect the seedling as it takes root.

  94. EC: Lingering Spirits -Resentful Spirits who feel the trial goer is a threat to their kind they aim to seal the PCs bloodlust and steal the seedling so the PC cannot ever realize their fate.
  95. - Moderately Powerful -Slightly weaker than PC
  96. - Holy/Holy Water/Wind/Ice
  97. -They can summon forth Spirits to aid them in combat

  99. After the ritual is completed and the seed is given back to the Ent the fate will be revealed to them. Different seeds are expected to have different outcomes. The Ent consumes the seed and thus begins the third trial the Blooming of fate.

  101. 3rd Trial: Blooming of Fate
  102. Depending on the nature of the seed and whether or not they have completed the previous trials and the ritual successfully the Ent consumes the seed despite its color however the color of the seed will influence the Ent's potential greatly the last trial, of course, is to allow their self to be judged by the Ent to see if they are worthy of being a Champion of Nature.

  104. Green Seed: EC Imbued with the power of Nature itself It is not swayed by anything an thus the flower that blooms on the Ent's trees is that of an Orchid symbolizing Balance

  106. EC: Ent of Balance- Balance at all costs the aspect of Nature that must be secured no matter what. Where there is life there must be death. This creature favors neither aspect over the other however it will play either role to maintain the balance of Nature.

  108. -Springs Bloom/ Nature/Poison/Earth

  110. Crimson Seed: EC imbued with the spirit of Silver Claw and the Passion of White Scar. Both Spirits are resolved to their defeat and have accepted their fate. Thus the flower that blooms is that of the Red Roses. Symbolizing the passion of a warrior and the drive to defeat all who opposes them only they can choose their path and their fate has been seen as that of a humble warrior who fights for Honor and Nature.

  112. -EC: Ent of Rage An Ent with over encompassing power and Rage. It is a driving force of Nature one that shows that it can not always be forgiving. A manifestation of Natures Rage, It will consume all who deny its fury with molten magma.

  116. White Seed: You've proven yourself as a warrior and despite your acts, you are only carrying forth the Will of Nature and thus you cannot be at fault. The villagers took hold of powers beyond themselves and their fate had been sealed prior to your coming. In the end, Nature consumes all no matter how cruel...The flower that blooms is that of the White Camellia..Signifying the aspect of Winter that consumes life no matter how cruel it can be.

  118. EC: Ent of Winter- The aspect of Winter Cruel and usually uninviting. The Ent's bark is layered in ice and snow and it can manipulate these forces freely. Their Cruelty is justified...They have only one purpose...To cull those unworthy of surviving natural selection It does not kill more beyond its means but the possibility of mass murder is usally high

Black Seed: A twisted and horrendous creation you have gorged yourself on the blood of others and thus you twisted the arm of fate into your will you are destined to be stained in corruption and For this the fate you receive is that of DreadGale A deadly plant that is known to be the spawn of a demons mal intentions.

  123. EC: Corrupted Ent-A corrupted creature under the possession of spirits of the damned forced into the seed with torturous intentions. The creature lunges forth at anything in sight to destroy it. It is no longer a creation of Nature it is a Harbinger of Choas.

  127. After the Ent is defeated the bark is peeled back and deeply placed inside is the core of the creature it can easily be adorned to imbue the wearer with the Aspect it holds

  130. Name: Natures Gratitude
  131. Description: This item has been heavily influenced by the Actions of the trial goer who fought for it thus it takes on the aspect they themselves do.
  132. >Green: They Embody Balance of Nature
  133. >Red: They Embody the Rage of Nature
  134. >White: They Embody the Cruelty of Nature
  135. >Black: They Channel the Chaotic forces of Nature
  136. The description will be more thoroughly expanded once they've been made their choice but they will be able to dev Nature based hidden with it if successful.

  141. Downed 3 times= 2 Dice Rolls for Injury
  142. Downed 4 or more times: 3 Dice Rolls for Injuries.

  147. 4: Temp - 10 vit
