cookiedetentation (2018-08-05, 3:15 AM): PFFFT. Okay kid. Anyway, now that I have your attention. Flirting implies you are speaking directly to the person on the other side of the screen and not a character they made up. More like you're talking directly to the user.

ERP you're using characters. Writing a story, at least that's how it is in my case. I am a writer and if a roleplay happens to involve sex fine. I don't want it sex based because that shit gets old fast. But often relationships will form between characters, be it platonic or otherwise.

The key difference is that I do not associate myself with my character. Yes she is based on me considering that's how I made her 8 years ago but honestly we are two seperate entities. She has her own life, own emotions, own methods to deal with her problems.

I am NOT my character. I am simply the creator. What happens in roleplay stays in roleplay. It's one of the reasons I try not to bring up sex in roleplay because a lot of people don't seperate themselves; and then they start catching feelings.

I put the whole, "No ERP with anyone under 18" (loose quote) because it can be percieved as sexting and there is no way in hell I am doing something sexual with a minor. It grosses me the fuck out.
