- [12:07] Ardith says, "Alright, pancake down for me."
- [12:07] Ardith asks, "...And do you think these new legs make me look fat?"
- [12:08] Arkgvunde decided to pancake down to the floor to oblige Ardith's check-up.
- (Arkgvunde Vel'heim)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:08] Arkgvunde Vel'heim says, "Hmm. No. You do resemble Illaron a bit more, though."
- [12:08] Ardith says, "Figure that's the point. All part of the process."
- [12:10] Ardith doesn't seem to mind the change at all, except for the fact that they're still decidedly wobbly and unsure. Not to mention the hooves make walking on the bare stone exceptionally loud.
- Silver lining? No need to worry about pedicures anymore. Downside? The mithril plates of her old armor don't fit nearly as well as they used to. But what's an Accursed to do about it?
- She starts buzzing about Arkgvunde, inspecting the mithril thorns they'd put into place of the old ones and checking the stitching.
- "They haven't been giving you any trouble, have they? No infection or pain or anything? And what about the rune on your head?"
- (Ardith)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:14] Arkgvunde, by contrast, is perfectly fine with following Ardith around and into the Clinic, where they now lay partly flat on the ground. Ardith and Tahldrig's hard work to ensure the Demon was in tip-top shape had their own aesthetics changes - But this was something Ark was already used to. No awkward re-learning how to walk or hold things.
- Arkgvunde is relatively idle behind their thorny, leafy exterior.
- "No infections. The pain's become more of a background sensation instead."
- "...And I really like the arrangements for the rune we did."
- And just to put the cherry on top, Ark repeated back,
- "I am a pretty princess."
- Knowing full and well that Ardith's custom Illyothan runes on its head could be mistaken for a crown.
- (Arkgvunde Vel'heim)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:18] Ardith is absolutely, positively, tickled pink with a smile from ear to ear. She snags one of the needles with the plant-fiber threads from a tray nearby. Tahldrig made the clinic so nice and tidy just so she could come in here and wreck everything when she did her own work. How nice of her.
- "Gonna tighten up some of these spines though, so hold still."
- The Accursed applies the stitches with a more sure hand, reinforcing the meshwork that the mithril spines were attached too, tightening them to the surrounding flesh. Ark's natural healing factor could probably take care of it, but there's no sin in being certain.
- "These are looking pretty badass though, big A. Let me see how the rune's holding up too, if you ain't mind? Bet I could do all sorts of shit with runes on folks if this is working all that well..."
- She's positively giddy at the prospect.
- (Ardith)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:21] Arkgvunde made no visible reaction to being poked with a needle/stitching tools. Again. Hmm, maybe being a little naturally inebriated all the time acted as a reinforcement against pain...
- "Feel free to check the sigil to your heart's content."
- Ark knew that Ardith wasn't a down-and-out Cosmic Magi, so there's very little danger in doing that.
- The Demon is oddly cooperative when injured.
- Maybe their mental focus was drifting to something else at the same time as this?
- (Arkgvunde Vel'heim)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:25] Man, if she said she wasn't jealous of Ark's ability to be drunk all the time on command, she'd be a bald faced liar. It makes her work quicker and more easy though, keeping the demon in some altered state.
- She clip-clops around towards the Kaor's head, leaning in to inspect the mithril inlaid rune.
- Even better, she takes out her little covered notebook, flips through the pages, and compares it to the one in that she'd painstakingly put in her drawings. Ardith squints, turns it sideways, and frowns at the sigil in place.
- In one hand she holds the booklet, in the other she holds a small scraping implement of some kind, cleaning up the lines and swoops of the great Illyothian rune.
- "Just a liiiiittle touch up...And there. It was bothering me," she confesses. If her name's going to be on runework, Illaron damnit it had better be the best she can put out.
- "Perfect. Thanks for humoring me, Ark."
- (Ardith)
