  40. And yes, I must agree. I am not in radio, I just dreamed of it all my life, loved it all my life. What amazes me is Art can conduct an interview with anyone, on any topic; it's fun, interesting, and above all engaging. "A master makes it look easy", Art does, it's effortless when he does it, because as you pointed out, he does the heavy lifting before showtime, like any person would who gives a shit.

  45. No hurt to the guy that really is my hero. I've wanted a career in radio since I was a little girl, yeah, when I heard
  46. Art Bell for the first time I wanted to be just like him. Ok, I'm going to cry. Over a talk show host.
  47. Such drama, who needs cable??!???
  48.
  49. I have hope, still yet, for I have seen much darker days turn bright in a flash.

  62. I'd love to do a show like that. Or listen to a show like that.

  78. George Noory is a pathetic wannabe poser who just wishes he knew 1% of what Art Bell knows about radio (he also wishes he could see a woman naked, just once). He's the real life "Faul" if there ever was one. He dismisses guests & callers left and right, and barely can manage to hold the conversation from break to break. Which is obviously all he "preps" for every pathetic, lame-ass night of his parasitic life.
  79.
  80. Presto, what once was truly great & full of color, bleached into nothingness by Noory's presence.
  81. I fucking hate the man.
  82.
  83. The wedging of himself into Dark Matter by tampering with scheduling, and texting guests during Dark Matter is disgusting behavior. Beyond unprofessional. Eat a bag of dicks George "The Useless" Noory. Eat two bags. Go watch four hours of gore horror of children getting killed, you know that always makes you feel giddy.

  86.
  87. Just shows how right all the posts in GNS are. I used to be annoyed by Nooron's lack of talent. Now I just want him to fall in a pool of hot, boiling pizza roll filling at the Totino's factory.

  91. Wouldn't put it past him, the soul-less fuck.

  93.
  94.
  95. Aw, man, someone shove that expensive microphone directly up the Nooron's ass & get it over with for the love of all that is sane. Since I need my radio for other reasons and don't want to smash it, I'm afraid I won't be joining in the fun.
  96.
  97. Used to hate what he did to something that was once great, now, I hate him personally. I've always gotten the vibe that he's a closet satanist anyway, what with all the glee over tragic children stories.
  98. http://bellgab.com/index.php/topic,3.msg206975.html#msg206975
  99.
  100.
  101. He wanders around gas stations looking for something to eat that won't injure him.
  102.

  105. Basks in his infinite suckage.

  108.
  109. Does he still offer "Special George Time" with Coast Insider membership? That might kill a minute or two.

  179. He says it as if by hating him we are destroying our lives. No, Dave, it is cathartic to discuss how bad you are. Many listeners think you suck, and how do you think we found our way to BellGab? By typing, "I'm a hater" into google? No. It was "George Noory Sucks" that brought all of these like minds together. We celebrate our dislike of how you ruined a once great program. Don't get it twisted.

  255. I can't wait till Art comes back and shows this Wells guy how it's done.

  260. If I can bear to listen lately, the Nooron does get plenty of screened ass kissers to tell him how great he is. If you listen closely, you can hear his head inflating.
  261.
  262. On the other hand, Art was always humble if anyone tried to give him huge compliments... he would cut them off or say "I am just a talk show host," and get on with the program.

  268.
  269. Worst call... hmmm... probably the people who say, "Roswells to you Art, great to have you back!" because it annoys Art & is redundant.
  270.
  271. C2C callers? Wouldn't know. That show has sucked for years. I think Dave Noorie took over as host a long time ago? Ha haa.

  274. I've always thought the great Art Bell was the Crusher Of Trolls. This is the man who pioneered the greatest open lines ever heard on radio. JC was a troll of sorts, that Art so deftly swatted like a fly every time he called in (Fake or real debate aside).

  283. If someone wants to pm me their evil hatred, I'm posting it publicly. Let it be known.

  285.
  286.
  287. Well, it's either our first theory, or, more likely, he's drowning in Yes Men that know he is less than talented, but continue to tell him how great he is. So, maybe the Nooron is too dumb to be in on the destruction of Coast, and it's someone behind the scenes systematically ruining the show. Idk, but it has crossed my mind many times, as well. :-\
  288.
  289. I don't think gn bothers to listen to his past shows. Though... he should be forced to.

  292.
  293. Instead, we could say we love Coast to Coast? C'mon guys, Art has come on to ask us three times to do him this favor. It's a phone bomb on the Nooron, who is a complete sleaze. We can hold our nose to get past the screener.

  368. After going out to shop for anything, I always feel the need to shower in bleach. Yes, people coughing, hacking, clearing their throats, and openly wiping their noses with their hands. Then proceeding to touch every package on the aisle shelf, it's disgusting. Not even children, I'm talking grown adults.

  373.
  374. This does not help me appear any more sane in today's world. No texting, no fb, no twits, no gaming, abso-motherfucking-lutely no cell phones in my home. No way. Took a long time to find a computer with no webcam, but I insisted on it or no buy.

Everything, every little thing in here seems to have dust. It reminds me of the Bay Bridge painting thing: it takes 7 years to paint the Bay Bridge, and it must be re-painted every 7 years. So they paint to one end, and must start painting again the other direction just as soon as they get done.

  548.
  549.
  550. This is why I am remaining indoors. Each episode of contact/ harassment has escalated, and I expect a crude stabbing weapon may be next. Yes, I've told her to stop, I've told her I don't want any trouble, that I am just walking to the store... you cannot reason with raging insanity. Her answer to anything I say is, "I DON'T CARE!!!" I picture me bleeding on the sidewalk while the cops take their sweet time to arrive. By then, as usual, the crazy will have fled.
  551.
  552. I will not risk being stabbed in order to defend myself on the way to the store. I started stockpiling supplies two weeks ago, and continue to do so. Until I get a vehicle, this is what I have to do. Will keep saving until I can get one, and this will be over.
  553.
  554. Now, she has screamed at me that she knows where I live, which I find unlikely. This is a big complex, and she would be quickly noticed by security. I have ample weapons here, and would love to see her even try that. She'll be dragging her bloody stumps away. Out in public, that's another story.
  555.

  579. Well, b/f at the time was a city-boy. Did not realize how much until I said that word. He swore I made it up, there's no such thing as a marmot, you're showing your hillbilly roots, omg I have a hillbilly g/f, etc. He actually got angry about it. Most bizarre thing, really.

  685. Funny, my apartment in the 'hood was quieter than this, even with the gun shots & mysterious couch-beating neighbors. At least I could work. Here, I have to take my calls in the tiny hall closet.

Be grateful that your parents were strict, and taught you to hold yourself to a higher standard. We have largely moved away from this mindset in the last ten or twenty years; I find that to be a bummer.

  1054.
1055. Happy about it? Yes. Better than anyone? No. Will I put on my Sunday best and behave? Yes.

1061. Everyone has been falling all over themselves to suck up to Red. That's great, but until she learns how to control such epithets she's gonna have a challenge in broadcasting. Rush Limbaugh uses denigration on a regular basis and he's started to see him empire fail under his feet. Like I said, kids are committing suicide over the stigma others have put on this. Each of us are either a solution or a cause of this problem.
  1062.
1063. Just remember, what goes around comes around.
  1064.
1065. No sucking up is needed. It was just a joke. I dig MV, but the guy cannot take a compliment, so I throw in an insult to balance out any compliments I may pay him. As a female, and as a minority myself, I have dealt with my fair share of slurs and denigration in this life. Have learned to let it go and have a laugh. It's the GabCast, far worse has been said on that show, but this one word is being beat to death.
  1066.

This is a night I will never forget. Aside from internet connection problems, that was the most fun I have ever had. Thank you for being so generous as to let me take a ride with you.

Don't worry, we will let a bit of time pass and try again, I think people thought you were going to be there every night, I should have explained it was for mainly open lines interaction, we will try again, as I said people hate change. You were just great and given time you would relax and be super.

  1090.
1091. Yes, maybe listeners thought I'd be with you every night, and were spooked by that. If they realized it's just an occasional Open Lines possibility, maybe we'd all relax.

1190. I am far from a lawyer, but from my experience working in bail, I can tell you the cops get their panties all in a twist as soon as the words "domestic violence" are uttered. They will go after the one who is emotional. Keep your cool at any cost as you navigate this disaster, and you will gain points in your favor.
  1191.
1192. The cops & the courts see these situations often & do know how to spot a chick crying wolf. Be on your best behavior, and I mean to the letter. Dress respectably, use proper English, hell, wear glasses if it will make you look smarter. It is sad, but true that we are all judged based on our appearance, and even sadder, but truer that this is how those in law enforcement/ courts profile us. Keep that in mind.

1200. Yes, clean up, keep cool, and document. Document any interaction, however minute. You need dates, times, locations, and what happened since this thing started, and going forward until it is over. Yes, that will rub sandpaper up your ass for a while, but it has become your new currency to buy your way out of this shit. (Video, photos, receipts, phone records, texts, emails... save everything in chronological order and create a timeline.)
